“I love that Aimee came for a very thorough "meet n greet". Aimee was wonderful with our two dogs. They warmed up to her immediately. She always got back to me as soon as I texted her. Thank you Aimee for allowing me to feel as ease right away with leaving our babies. Overall positive experience. Thank you.”

About: Hello, I'm Madison! I am an experienced, reliable, and caring petsitter who cannot wait to meet your furry friends! Growing up, I had cats, dogs, hamsters, fish, turtles, rabbits, and birds. This has given me experience with all types of animals and grown my passion for working with them. I am very flexible with my schedule, and will follow any and all routines your pets may have. Have peace of mind when leaving, whether that be for work or for a long vacation, cause I will treat your pets as if they are my own! I currently work full-time from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in New Castle, Indiana. I will be available before and after this, as well as most weekends. Your pet's safety is my number one priority! All routines and special instructions will be followed to a T, and I will treat your home with the utmost respect. Additionally, I will provide you with pictures and updates when you are away. If in my home, it would contain two of the sweetest cats that you can ever meet. They have experience around dogs, cats, and children, and are great around all. I have a safe environment where all pets can be themselves and feel comfortable in. I can't wait to meet you and your furry friends!
About: I have been a regular pet sitter for friends, family, and coworkers since I was a teenager. I have experience with large or small dogs, elderly dogs, cats, and pets that need medication or other accommodations. I have experience with dog-sitting for up to two weeks at a time. This has sometimes included, but is not limited to, administering medication, cleaning up messes inside and outside, walking, feeding, and bathing. Ensuring the safety, health, and happiness of each pet I take care of is my top priority and it is one of my favorite things to do in the world! I do not have the same schedule weekly, so I will constantly update my availability. I only know my availability up to 3 weeks in advance. Unless I have to work very early the next day, I am available for overnights at least 3 days a week (typically). I am unable to have pets at my house because I live with a family member’s dog that does not do well with other animals. Please give me any and all instructions! I will make sure to follow any routine that I can for your pet to be comfortable. I will provide as many updates/photos as requested.
About: I offer reliable, attentive care for dogs of all sizes and personalities. Whether your pup loves long walks, quiet company, or playtime in the yard, I make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I’m patient, consistent, and experienced with both high energy dogs and those who prefer a slower pace. My goal is to keep their routine steady, provide plenty of attention, and treat every dog like they’re my own. I will always do my best to follow your pets schedule each day to help create a low stress stable environment. Please reach out to me for special requests. I care for every pet as if they were my own, with patience, consistency, and attention to detail. For new clients I like to try and have a introduction to help build trust and familiarity. During walks and drop in visits, I make sure dogs get the right mix of exercise, structure, and positive interaction to keep them happy and healthy. For overnight stays, I focus on maintaining their normal routine meals, walks, playtime, and plenty of affection so they feel secure and comfortable in their own home. My approach is calm, reliable, and based on understanding each pet’s unique personality and needs.
“As I am sure most pet parents considering a pet sitter are, I think of my pets as my babies. I was getting really stressed out about leaving my 3 cats for 3 days and finding someone to watch them. I was so relieved when I found a sitter and it was an amazing experience. They sent photos, videos, and kept open communication. I felt like my cats were in great hands the entire time and while I was excited to come home, I felt less nervous about being away. I am definitely going to be using them in the future again and would recommend them to anyone.”

“Angie was the best pet sitter we could have ever asked for! She gave several updates a day on our dog and three cats. She also sent many pictures to reassure us that our fur babies were in good hands. This was the first time we left our anxious dog with someone other than my father-in-law, but our pup seemed to warm up to Angie quickly and I knew she was getting the best care! We thought we might need her for an additional night on top of the 5 she already did, and Angie immediately said she would be happy to do it. She left our house clean. We 100% recommend Angie and will definitely be using her again in the future!”

“Once again Kari and Clint did a very good job. We have a big active dog and he loves her. He was well cared for. Besides our pup, she took good care of nine hens in the barn! We live rurally.. While we were away, we had an unexpected, early snowstorm and freezing temps. She handled everything in stride. She had to wait until we had the driveway plowed. Hens need water. Ice won’t do! She managed to get their heated water dish hooked up.. Not everyone has the confidence and skill to tackle this, but she did it! We returned home to a clean house! And stocked fridge. She did an outstanding job !”

“Trinity did such an excellent job. She stayed in our house for 10 days. She was very responsive and sent lots of updates, and did a great job taking care of the house and our two dogs. Would recommend her to anyone and definitely will use her again!”
“Ally was amazing! She was so great with the pups and left the house just as she found it. She checked in with us throughout the weekend and sent us pics of the dogs. I would definitely recommend her and hopes she'll be willing this sit again for us!”

About: I have had pets my whole life. I currently have a dog and a pet tortoise. I have also pet sat for friends dogs and mini pigs. I'm ready to treat your family like my family I work full time second shift at the local sheriff department as a dispatcher. My dog is not crated during this time. I do come home on my hour lunch break and let her out and play with her. I have a tie out for potty breaks and a large house to run around. Also visits to the dog park or tractor supply for a bath and some treats.
About: Aside from caring for my own animals, I have dog and cat sat for friends and family in the past. I'm a huge animal advocate and lover, so much so that I am a vegetarian and have issues with the way animals are treated from slaughter houses, to puppy mills. Animals are truly my best friends and I can't think of anything I would enjoy more than taking care of others and the bonus is getting paid for it. I have had pets since I was small and taking care of animals brings me a lot of joy and comfort in my life and its what I prefer. What better way to make money than by doing what you love most. I enjoy walking daily so bring a special little fur buddy along would be a huge plus. I’m dog sitting full time on most days. Have retired and am now doing what I enjoy the most. Please contact me anytime day or night. Your pet is very safe in my home. Fenced in back yard and dog friendly inside through and through. My dogs are older and get along with all dogs.
“Brownie needs more interaction with people on an ongoing basis without mom around. Kelly did the best she possibly could with a scared dog. Thank you for trying so hard and giving him his treats. Hopefully he will get there soon. Thanks Kelly for the updates and pictures.”

FAQs for House Sitting - Dunreith
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 862 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Dunreith. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Dunreith walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Dunreith maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Dunreith choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Dunreith. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
