“Beth was awesome! She was very proactive in asking questions and communicating. Our dogs warmed up to her quickly. She was thoughtful about following instructions, being on time, and really put my mind at ease. We will definitely connect with Beth again when we need care for our pups!”
“Chelsea took excellent care of my kitties! I was very happy with her in all aspects. She sent me a report card daily with photos, my skittish darlings came to her each day which they rarely do with anyone but me, she was extemely pleasant and courteous, etc. I could go on and on with rave reviews about her! I currently have no travel plans in the forseeable future, but I will certainly contact Chelsea for sure. Thank you!”
“Gianna took great care of my cat and fish for a week while I was away. She was attentive, communicative, and clearly understood that my cat needs a lot of attention and interaction. It gave me peace of mind knowing both of my pets were well cared for while I was gone. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.”
About: I’ve been around and taking care of dogs of different breeds since I was 16. Most of my experience has been with friends’ and family members’ dogs. I’ve helped with walks, feeding, playtime, and taking care of them when they stay at my house. I’ve also helped keep their areas clean when needed. I really enjoy spending time with dogs and making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while they’re with me 🐶❤️ I’m available 24/7, which means I’ll have plenty of time to take care of your furry friend and give them lots attention and love :) I live in Berlin, NY, in a quiet area with a large yard where dogs have plenty of space to play and enjoy some time outside. I have a medium sized house and a very friendly 14 year old cat who is used to being around others.
“Katharine did an excellent job taking care of my cat via drop-in visits while I was on vacation. Katharine is kind and friendly, very responsible, and experienced with cats, as a cat owner herself. She does a perfect job following directions and communicating, and she was very easy to work with. I highly recommend booking Katharine as your Rover, and I hope to work with her again in the future.”
“Lauren looked in on our two cats while we were away, and we came home to very happy kitties! The house was in good order, and she checked in and gave us updates regularly and was very communicative. Will definitely have her back next time!”
“Stephanie was amazing. We met her once and knew she was the right choice. She was easily able to handle providing medication and special nutritional needs for our two older girls, as well as, keeping our younger guy busy with plenty of playtime. Steph sent plenty of pictures each day along with a detailed recap of each visit. When we were delayed 2 days getting home from our trip she was happy to extend our agreement to help us out of the jam. I would recommend to anyone needing care for their animals… as long as we don’t need her first!”

“Sophia did a great job caring for our two cats for a week while we were on vacation! She was great at sending updates, including pictures and videos, and made my shy kitties comfortable. I highly recommend Sophia!”
“Dakota is a lovely and attentive caregiver. My older lady cat needs a daily visit and Dakota was thoughtful and great in her communication. Odie was much more happy and relaxed when I returned. Will definitely work with Dakota again!”

I’ve been pet sitting for several years and understand how important it is to have someone you can trust with your furry family members. Whether it’s walks, playtime, cuddles, feeding, or just keeping them company, I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. 🐾❤️ I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility in my schedule to care for your pets. I’m available throughout the day for walks, drop-ins, feeding, playtime, or just some extra love and attention. My flexible schedule allows me to work around your pet’s normal routine and make sure they get the care and companionship they’re used to while you’re away. 🐾❤️ My home is a safe and comfortable place for your pet to relax and feel at home. I have a partially fenced-in yard where dogs can safely enjoy some fresh air, play, and stretch their legs. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
