“Wish I could give more than 5 stars! It was our first time using Rover for our 9 month old pup and Michael and Melanie completely exceeded expectations. Walks, hikes, pictures, and so much love! They truly made our pup apart of their family. We couldn’t thank them enough. Also want to mention their sweet, patient lab Mojo for being so good to our pup. If you’re looking for the best care for your pup, look no further!”

About: I've walked dogs, as well as watched them while the owners were away since I was little. I don't currently own any larger animals, but I have always handled them. Any dog wouldn't be an issue I currently could fill pretty much any need! I have a few hours of every day that I am busy, but I can be available pretty much anytime! I have an unfenced in yard that I would keep the dog leashed within, but I also know many of the dog friendly hiking trails within the Altoona area. I would be will to do whatever your most comfortable with!
“Amanda was great with our dog Charlee. She kept us up to date and sent us daily pictures. She gave our dog a lot of love and attention, which put us at ease while we vacationed. This was our first experience with Rover and it was a great one with Amanda. Thank you Amanda!”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life growing up. Anywhere from small, medium, to large dogs. I’ve had mini dachshunds, Dalmatians, St. Bernards, and German Shepherds. Currently right now I have a 3 Golden Retrievers named Willie, Waylon, and Hank. I also have a cat named Cash! I current work full time Monday-Thursday. I can be available later evenings if needed, we would just have to work things out in advance. I am generally free Friday-Sunday for any needs as well but also with notice. We have a 2 acre yard that my pups are free to roam via a underground fence. But we also have a lead for my moms dogs when she brings them over to play. We have a big house with a good sized living room and kitchen where all of my pups play as well when we have to be inside.

About: I will give your dog my full attention as well as my children. We all love animals. My children are super gentle and loving and love to take walks so finding time to take your dog for a walk will be no problem! I am home all day so your dog will get lots of attention! I am choosing to do this because the kids want a dog but I am not fully committed to buying one of our own quite yet, so dog sitting will please everyone. I have a huge yard with the option of fenced in and unfenced areas. We have very few neighbors so if your pup is a barker it will be not a problem. Lots of space to take dogs for walks without running into other people or animals.

I do have a friendly Golden Retriever who loves making new furry friends. As a teacher, I'm home all summer, so your dog will receive plenty of attention, playtime, companionship, and love throughout the day. I provide a safe, loving environment where your furry family member can feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for while you're away. Days and times will vary August-June as we head back to school. Though I do not have a fenced in yard, I can provide ample yard space and wooded areas both behind and on the side of our home. I do live on a side country road and do not receive a ton of traffic. I will also walk or use a tie out as requested.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Duncansville
I always have trouble finding the right fit for my high energy huskies when we travel, but Michelle and her place was perfect! Instantly felt comfortable and knew they would be well taken care of. They were both so warn out, they have done nothing but sleep since I picked them up almost 24 hours ago. Definitely recommend!

Michelle was absolutely amazing with my pups. I kept saying they aren’t wanna come home after seeing how much fun they had there. She sent so many pictures. Our pup Riggley turned 10 while we were away and once Michelle knew about it she gave him and birthday party! If there were 10 stars she would be getting ten stars! If you’re going somewhere and need your furbabies to have a safe place to stay she is an absolute must choice! Her and her family trust your babies like family!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
