“Harry did an excellent job in taking care of our babies We appreciated the daily updates as Mom was worried. We will definitely use him again. Thanks for the care and service.”

“Maria was great with our Golden Retriever Penny! She did drop ins for us and was very intuitive with Penny's needs and accommodating of our requests. Maria was patient even with Penny’s intense greeting energy and took her on walks and gave her some needed affection while we were gone. Maria is professional and caring. We will definitely use her again in the future.”

“Dawna is fantastic. I love seeing the Rover Card photos of my cat and reading the note Dawna leaves after every check-in. I have booked Dawna more than once for my cat and appreciate her care 💕”

“Morgan was so wonderful! Needed a mid day drop-in for my senior dog. Reached out with only a day or so notice (my fault) and Morgan was able to help no problem! Always nice to have a sitter in the area you can count on and trust, Morgan is definitely on my list ᵕ̈”

About: Hi there! I’m Kiet! A passionate and attentive pet caregiver with experience caring for dogs, cats, and even reptiles. I genuinely love spending time with animals and making sure they’re happy, healthy, and comfortable while their humans are away. I’m especially skilled with pets who need a little extra care. Both of my cats require a special medical diet, so I’m very comfortable preparing and following precise feeding instructions. I also have experience with anxious animals, my cat Robin is quite shy and sensitive, so I understand the importance of creating a calm and reassuring environment. Whether it’s feeding schedules, potty breaks, medication, or simply providing companionship, I take the responsibility of pet care seriously. I’ve recently moved back home and currently have open availability! I’m more than happy to take care of your companion for extended period. Thank you! At the moment I am not taking any care from my own home as I share a house with roommates. Thank you for your understanding!
About: I’m newer to professional pet care, but I’m reliable, attentive, and calm. I’ve walked my boyfriend’s dog a few times and helped let coworkers’ dogs out during the day. Outside of that, I have a year of experience supervising middle schoolers and have spent years caring for my younger siblings (ages 10 and 13), which has taught me patience, responsibility, and how to stay attentive and trustworthy. I treat pets with the same care and respect and always make sure they’re safe and comfortable. I work full time on a rotating shift schedule, so my availability varies from week to week. The upside is that I can be available on weekdays or during less typical hours. I’m happy to coordinate ahead of time to find a schedule that works well for both you and your pet. I don’t offer boarding in my own home, but I’m happy to care for pets in their own space. I focus on keeping their routine as consistent as possible—making sure they get let out, fed, walked, and given attention as needed. I’m calm, observant, and respectful of both pets and clients’ homes, and I always prioritize safety and comfort.

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover who recently moved to the area after spending the last 24 years in Washington state. With all the kids off to college, I’m now enjoying being a stay-at-home dog and cat mom and would love to use my extra time to help other pet parents feel confident that their animals are happy, loved, and cared for while they’re away. I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life, and I grew up on a farm surrounded by a variety of animals. Caring for animals has always been something that comes naturally to me. I understand that pets are family, and I treat every animal in my care with the same patience, kindness, and attention I would want for my own. After years of working in a busy career, I especially appreciate having the time to slow down and enjoy the companionship of animals. I’d love to help dogs get some exercise, attention, and affection during the day so they aren’t stuck at home alone for hours while their families are at work. In the past we used this service to make sure our pets were well cared for while we were at work. It was so valuable for not only to our animals, but to us Whether your dog needs a midday walk, some playtime and companionship, or you need someone dependable to check in on your pets, I’m happy to help. My background in healthcare has also taught me to be responsible, attentive to details, and comfortable handling unexpected situations. Most importantly, I want your pets to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re in my care. I’d be happy to meet you and your pets beforehand so we can make sure we’re a great fit! Your pets may be your babies, but I’ll treat them like they’re mine. 🐾❤️ I am currently staying home and staying active with my standard poodle, Eevee and my cat, Moo. I have worked in surgery for close to 30 years and now that I’m home full time, I want to fill my time with things I love and make me happy. I have a fully fenced backyard with a swimming pool. I do have one standard poodle, who is super friendly and obsessed. I do have one cat who is a rescue from a hoarding situation and loves to play with dogs.We have a large home with all kids off to college. Animals sleep with us.
About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. I’ve cared for dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, hamsters, turtles, and fish, and I love getting to know each pet’s unique personality. I have experience caring for my own dogs and cats and understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles, or a quiet companion, I’ll make sure they get the attention and care they need. I will treat your pets as if they were my own and do everything I can to make their time with me enjoyable and stress-free. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I am not working but I have a 20 month baby who loves walk, and he is used to big dogs and he loves animals so in the morning he will be my companion in the strollers but in the afternoon after my husband gets home I can walk your dog with no baby. I will sleep with your pet if it is used to, I have a big back hard and can walk all over the house, depends on your routine I will walk your pet as necessary
“I went on a work trip to DC for a week and Brandon made having to leave Drax at home so much easier and took a lot of stress out of it. He provided daily updates and did even more than I even expected him to do. I am sure Drax is going to miss the week he spent with Brandon checking on him and keeping him company”

“Courtney is a wonderful per sitter! She is super thorough with feedback of how the visits go. She is also a great communicator and does well with reading dogs. I have a little one with a big personality who is adjusting to a new routine and environment. I am grateful to Courtney for her assistance in providing structure and comfort to my senior dog during a stressful time!”

About: I've been caring for animals for over 10 years and have three cats of my own, including one that's about to be 6 years old. I also previously had two dogs and have years of experience caring for family members' dogs while they're away on week-long vacations. In addition to caring for my own pets, I volunteer with a local cat rescue, where I've worked with cats of all ages and personalities. I'm comfortable feeding, walking, cleaning litter boxes, administering oral medications if needed, and making sure every pet feels safe, happy, and loved. I'll treat your pets with the same care and attention I give my own. I’m a college student, so I’ll have plenty of time to take care of your pets! I’m also available for house-sitting excluding Tuesday evenings due to my class schedule! In addition, I can commute to Napa as I regularly go into town! I always follow each pet's usual routine to help them feel comfortable and reduce stress while you're away. I'll make sure they have fresh food and water, plenty of exercise and playtime, bathroom breaks or clean litter boxes, and lots of love and attention. I'll also keep your home tidy, clean up after your pets, and follow any special instructions, including medications, feeding schedules, or house rules. I'm happy to send regular photo and text updates so you can have peace of mind while you're away.
“Maria was so great while taking care of my dog while I was out of town. She went way above and beyond my expectations. She was a very good communicator about him, which I appreciated. I will definitely use her again!”

About: Since I was 16 years old, I have cared for and pet sat for dogs. Over the last 20 years I’ve had two of my own dogs that I got when they were six weeks old. I believe a happy focused, dedicated puppy stage (with lots of treats) makes for a loving, caring obedient, joyful dog to be able to live their best life. Enjoying all the things they were created for. I look forward to helping your dog enjoy their time at home while you are on vacation. A side note to add is I am a mother of 4 and I have two younger boys ages 13 and 11 who will be taking turns to attend with me during my visits as a teaching opportunity for more skills with different dogs. I am a stay at home mom with four kids. My children’s ages range from 22-11yrs. My stage of life provides for many opportunities to be able to share my time to help care for animals while providing moments to teach my children how to care for others. We have a large fenced yard, and are happy to also help with crating if needed. Daily walks and feedings are built into are routine. Having this same routine allows for us to easily help others with the same needs.
About: I have been caring for dogs for 25 years, and for other pets my whole life. I currently live with two dogs and a cat. I volunteer at an animal rescue shelter where I care for dogs and cats. I am a dog trainer in training. I love being around animals, that is my happy place! I currently create my own work schedule, so I am flexible to meet pet's needs. I am available to visit your pet on their schedule. I am willing to meet your pets' needs on your schedule. I am certified in animal CPR, and educated in the care and training of dogs. I have learned a great deal about animal care through my work as a volunteer at an animal shelter.

About: Some people innately connect with animals. Maybe this cannot be taught or learned. Even those animals who "don't like anyone" like me. It's a gift. Perhaps they can tell I'm a gentle giant and it makes them feel safe and protected. Whether cat or dog or some other creatures, I will lavish affection and attention on them (if they're into that). Or simply let them call the shots until they're ready to warm up a bit more. As a large, fit dude, I can manage even the strongest dogs, but I'm nimble and delicate with the smaller ones and cats. It comes naturally, and your pets will sense it. Summertime affords more flexibility for me as a teacher. I do have another PT gig currently on Tuesdays & Thursdays in the afternoons. But I'm mostly available the other 5 days for now, and am willing to spend time with your pets before and after shifts on days I work. For many years, I've cared for dozens of friends' pets. Long before Rover existed, I was a resident car provider in my community. Everyone knows I am reliable, professional, responsive, and flexible. Clean, sober, non-smoker.
About: My name is Destiny and I grew up caring for large and small dogs and cats. I have hands-on experience raising puppies and kittens from birth through adulthood. As an adult, I continue to care for both cats and dogs, including adopted shelter cats and my own Labrador Retriever and Standard Poodle. Both of my dogs are neutered, gentle and affectionate. My Standard Poodle loves to run and play and can be wonderfully bouncy, but he's also surprisingly nurturing and likes to make sure everyone is okay. My Labrador is basically Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh—a lovely potato who is particularly drawn to wee, scrappy dogs. I actively study canine behavior and learning. I train and participate in dog sports including obedience, scent work/nose work, agility, Barn Hunt and NASDA. I'm comfortable observing canine body language, following established training and management routines, providing enrichment, and adapting my approach to the individual dog. Most importantly, I genuinely enjoy getting to know animals as individuals. I don't expect every dog or cat to immediately love me, and I don't force interaction. I believe comprehensive care starts with paying attention to what makes an animal feel safe, comfortable and understood. I work from home with a flexible schedule and control over my own hours, which gives me plenty of time to incorporate walks, play, enrichment, meals, potty breaks and companionship throughout the day. Our household is unusually quiet and relaxed. There are no children in the home, and my neighborhood is a peaceful residential area that's well suited to walks and downtime. Pets staying with me have opportunities for activity and engagement, but also plenty of time and space to settle, nap and simply relax. Because I'm home much of the day, pet care fits naturally into my routine rather than having to be squeezed in around a long commute or rigid work schedule. I believe pet care starts with understanding the *individual* animal. I take time to learn each pet's normal routine, temperament, preferences, training cues, feeding needs and anything that may make them uncomfortable or stressed. My approach is calm, patient and attentive. I don't force interactions, and I pay close attention to body language and changes in behavior. I follow owners' established routines and management instructions carefully because consistency can make being away from home much easier for a pet. My home is clean, quiet, child-free and low-stress, in a peaceful residential neighborhood. I want visiting pets to have a comfortable place where they can play and engage when they want to, but can also settle and rest without constant activity, noise or disruption. When caring for pets in their own homes, I bring the same approach: respect the animal's familiar environment, follow the household's routines carefully, communicate reliably with the owner, and leave things exactly as I found them.
About: I have been surrounded by cats since I was a baby. I currently have two cats and would love to take care of yours like it was mine! I was trying to make a cat only profile but I could not find the only option. I'm currently trying to build a playpen out of my garage to board cats only. Each cat will have a big size enclosure and have individual brakes to play and roam around the playpen by himself. I plan to keep them separate from other possible guest cats to avoid any physical confrontation. You can bring your own food, toys and bed. Let me know if you have any questions or if you cat needs any special accommodations. I'll hope to hear from you!
About: I've taken care of dogs of all sizes and temperments for my whole life. I have a calm demeanor that helps them relax. I live in a house with a large fenced yard, I have a car with dog restraints, a vet office within walking distance, experience giving medications, and I'm a veteran who's good in a crisis. I am currently a student doing most of my work from home. I only accept a bookings if I'll be home and able to provide plenty of love and attention. I have lots of space, a car with dog restraints, a medium dog crate (for crate trained dogs up to 70-ish pounds) and plenty of toys. I also carry my own pet sitting insurance that goes beyond the Rover guarantee, for the mutual protection of sitter, owner and pet. Dogs will not be left outside unsupervised.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Dozier. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
