“Nicki did a couple of drop ins with Kona. She was right on time and sent photos. And she did a pre-visit since this was our using her. She's reliable and she took great care of Kona, I will use her again when we need a pup sitter.”

About: I’ve always had a soft spot for animals and have cared for/owned all kinds of pets, from dogs and cats to snakes and ferrets. I currently have several senior pets of my own, so I know how important gentle, patient care is, especially for older animals. I also have experience with positive reinforcement training and love keeping pets active, whether that means playtime, walks, or a good run for dogs with extra energy. My goal is always to make every pet feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I’m currently taking online summer courses in aerospace engineering and art, which gives me a flexible schedule and lots of time throughout the day to spend with the pets I care for. I just recently moved to the STL for inspiration and a change of scenery. Since most of my own pets are still back home for the time being, I have plenty of extra love, attention, and playtime to give to yours. I care for pets by keeping their routine as consistent as possible and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I stay on top of feeding, fresh water, walks, litter box cleaning, playtime, and any other daily needs, and I always try to give pets plenty of attention so they’re not just being “checked on.” I’m comfortable adjusting to different personalities and energy levels, whether that means playing with a high-energy dog, giving a shy cat space to warm up, or being extra gentle with a senior pet.
“Danielle is amazing! She is extremely professional and communicative. She met up with me before the trip and took great care of my cat, Ellie. Ellie can be shy and cautious of new people but Danielle took her time and gave her lots of love, space, and patience. Can’t wait to book with her again!”

“Nathan was so helpful! He was willing to fit me in last minute. He replied quickly to messages and even called from the house to make sure he took care of everything I needed.”
“Dakota went above and beyond while we were away! He was communicative and was wonderful to the dogs! Most certainly would love to have him come again!”

About: I have taken care of cats and dogs for my whole life. I started my professional animal care working as a farmhand, caring for horses dogs and cats from a young age. I have been a veterinary assistant for 4+ years and am comfortable medicating our furry friends. I've previously trained a deaf puppy for a neighbor. By the end of our time working together the dog had confidently learned sit, lie down, rollover and fetch via hand cues. I'm happy to discuss my availability with you to see if I could potentially be a good fit for your situation. My work schedule is Tuesday - Saturday. I enjoy spending time with the animals I care for. I will make sure any medication are given as prescribed, play with them, brush them as needed or requested. I will contact you if there is any concerns for your fur baby. I am happy to send pictures to you while you're away if that is desired.
About: I grew up with cats and have helped taken care of my senior cat as well. I also am a volunteer at the local spca I just finished my graduate program at UVA so I have lots of free time to care for and play with your pups and cats!! I have lots of experience house sitting as well. My main goal is to take care of your pet and also your home! My hope is that your house looks exactly the same as when you left it!
“Emil is super flexible and always willing to help! He’s easy going and took my pup and kindly watched her for my first week of work. It was hard to leave her, so I appreciated all his help!”

About: I have a large family dog that I have been responsible for since I was about 10 years old. She has since gotten older so I have experience with a senior dog and giving any sorts of medication (and the peanut butter necessary to get her to take it). I am no stranger to having to clean up any accidents in the house so that is a non-issue for me. I am also open to taking care of other animals like rodents or turtles or other cage creatures. I am a true and passionate animal lover! My schedule is very flexible at the moment. I am happy to give as much or little time needed for the pets. I can figure out any scheduling and details necessary with clients. I am never loud coming into a home. I always let the pets come to me unless they are hiding on purpose. I take care instructions very seriously and will follow everything exactly and will reach out if I have questions about the best way I can care for your fur friend.
“Lexi was great with Mills and Mills loved her. He’s got trauma and anxiety and Mills quickly came to trust her and be relaxed around her. She’s excellent and I would definitely rebook her anytime I need someone!”

“We were in town for a couple of nights and wanted to go out to a nice dinner. We had Megan come to our hotel room to stay with our Schnoodle so she wouldn’t bark the whole time! Megan was great. Right on time- very engaged and we felt very comfortable leaving her with Maisy. Highly recommend.”

About: I have loved dogs since I was a kid! I recently have been working as a nanny and that has involved light care for pets as well, my current duties are walking the two dogs and feeding them treats and filling water bowls. I am very loving and caring. My previous job involved feeding and letting the pup out in the back yard to play and to help keep track of certain habits due to the dog having food allergies. I am so fond of animals as a whole that my future goal is to buy a house with lots of land and do free lance dog boarding! I would love to help your family with your pet’s needs! Hope to work with you soon!
“I cannot thank Ashlen enough for the amazing job she did in taking care of my dog Maddie! My dog has anxiety and Ashlen worked with her well and took her on adventures to the dog park and on long walks. She was available when I needed her, did not cancel on me, and was open with communication. She is great with dogs and I highly recommend booking her as a sitter! :)”

“I would book Amber again! She did an amazing job taking care of our 2 kitties over the holidays. The kitties enjoyed her company :) she went above expectations by washing the food bowls. Highly recommend. Thank you Amber!”

About: Hi there! I'm an experienced and loving caretaker for dogs, cats, and all kinds of pets—including chickens, horses, and even the occasional bunny! I don’t do this for the money—I truly find joy in playtime, long walks, and making sure animals feel safe, happy, and loved. I must’ve been a dog in a past life! I know trusting a new sitter can feel nerve-wracking, so I always like to start with a phone call and an in-person meet & greet to make sure we’re a great fit for each other. I put a lot of time and love into each Rover family, getting to know your pets and their unique differences. Each Rover stay feels like its own little adventure, and I truly enjoy every one :) I have years of hands-on experience caring for my own pets as well as those of friends, and I’ve helped train and nurture many puppies along the way. I’m knowledgeable in grooming, basic training, and behavior support, and I bring a calm, empathetic energy to every pet I meet. My background includes work as a supplement advisor at a health food store, where I gained experience with holistic remedies and supplements—including CBD—to help pets with anxiety, pain, and general wellness. I now work remotely in environmental sustainability, which gives me a super flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pet the attention they deserve. I live in a dog-friendly neighborhood perfect for long walks or runs, and your pet will have plenty of love from my partner and animal-loving friends while you're away. Whether your pet needs cuddles, structure, medicine, exercise, or just good company, I’ve got it covered. A couple of notes: I’m not able to accept bookings in homes that use synthetic air fresheners or otherwise strong/harsh scents (unless it can be unplugged or not used beforehand) as it disrupts my ability to be comfortable! I generally prefer stays longer than a single night but will consider one offs especially for repeat clients! Thank you for understanding. NOTE: I am still taking bookings in Asheville, NC - I will travel to you! I am currently living with my partner in Charlottesville VA I happen to work remotely from my computer with a schedule I determine myself. So I am very flexible and able to give lots of attention I understand that all pets are different with varying emotional and physical needs. I am very empathetic, understanding, and attentive when it comes to adjusting my care per animal.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 424 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Doylesville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Doylesville. On Rover:
- 98% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 93% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
