“This was Rosy’s first stay away from home so we were a little anxious (Rosy is our 1 year old mini doodle) but Kirsten and her husband couldn’t have been more wonderful and welcoming! Rosy was loved and cared for while we were away for the weekend, and we received text updates and photos that reassured us that she was in great hands! We would highly recommend and cannot thank you enough, Kirsten!”

“Melissa was great with Cooper. Everything went extremely well from drop off to pick up. She sent messages and videos twice a day. I would definitely use her again and would recommend you use her for your pets.”

About: I have done drop in and overnight care for family member's pets for many years. I am a life long animal lover and have cats and/or dogs my whole life. I also did some volunteer care at an animal shelter while in college. I am a stay at home mom of three (9, 7, and 5 year olds) kids who also love animals so I have the availability to provide a lot of time and attention. I have a fenced in yard in a beautiful country setting and two playmates for your pup. Robin is 13 year old chocolate lab mix, who we rescued from the roadside. She gave birth to 8 puppies about 2 months later and we were able to find loving homes for them all. We also have Emmett, who is a shepherd/spaniel mix that we adopted as a puppy during covid. He can be shy around new people, but loves to play with any dog he has met.
“It was Dasol's first time with Alicia, so we were worried whether she would be okay at an unfamiliar environment. But Alicia made every effort to make Dasol feel more at home, contacting us on a frequent basis. It was comforting to know that Dasol was in good hands. Thank you, Alicia!”

“George was the best. He took care of my toy poodle with such care. Tallow, my toy poodle, had never been with anyone else. He grew accustomed to George very quickly.. George showed a lot of care for him. I highly recommend him.”

“Highly recommend! Took great care of my pup and was very good with communication! Flexible and you can tell she loves all animals as much as her own! ? my buddy had a great time there”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Dover
Kirsten was very pleasant and knew what questions to ask when she watched my Stevie. One thing I really appreciated was that she asked if it was ok to feed her some chicken. I keep Stevie on a very healthy diet and try to keep her away from table scraps because she has a habit of begging, but that was a welcome addition to her food and a good treat for Stevie. She kept me well informed when I was away and sent me some photos to show me how happy she was. It was a worry free trip for my family while we were away. Thank you so much Kirsten!

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
