About: I provide reliable and loving care for your pets, whether through house sitting, drop-in visits, or dog walks. Your furry friends will be well-fed, cared for, and given plenty of attention, all tailored to your standards and beyond. I’m a dog person at heart, but I also love caring for cats. Many friends and clients trust me to care for their pets while they’re away, and I also offer house-sitting services, including plant care, mail collection, and general home upkeep. If boarding is needed, my cozy home in Forestville features a fenced yard, ideal for small to medium-sized dogs. I live close to a park that’s perfect for daily walks and outdoor play. Send me a message—I’d love to meet you and your beloved pets and ensure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away! Updated 1-22-2025 I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide attentive and reliable care for your pets. Most of my freelance work is done from home, so I’ll often be around to keep your pets company. When I’m out running errands or completing local handyman tasks, I ensure your pets’ needs are fully taken care of before I leave and as soon as I return. My availability includes mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends, giving me plenty of time to tailor my care to your pets’ routines. Let me know what works best for you and your furry friends! I prioritize safety and trust by closely following each pet parent's care instructions and maintaining a calm, secure environment. In clients' homes, I treat the space respectfully and ensure doors, windows, and surroundings are safe for your cat, dog, or other pets. My goal is to provide a stress-free experience, giving both pets and owners peace of mind. I make sure to follow instructions and feed them on time according to your schedule. I also often take dogs on walks and potty brakes and play fetch with them if they like that as well.

On weekends I am free from 7am-9pm. If needed, we can arrange earlier or later appointment times. Thanks! I can stop by at your home to check in on your furry friend(s) and make sure that they have plenty of food and water in their bowls, as well as give them ample time to go to the bathroom prior to completing the check in. I can provide 30 min-1 hour walks, or stimulate/play with your dog(s) for 30 min-1 hour in the safety of your home yard or nearby dog park.

“Patty is extremely friendly, communicative, and reliable. This was my first time using a pet sitter and, as soon as I met her, I felt instantly at ease. She is very loving with the dogs, and conscientiously takes care of each task that I request, even changing pee pads for me! I could not have asked for a better first experience with a pet sitter. She is so professional that the whole process felt incredibly easy and stress-free.”

“Cambryel Is a dog whisperer. My dog who gets easily overexcited was completely relaxed immediately when he met her the first time. Then she came back for the second time when I wasn't home to see how he would be, and he was again very mellow. She has a calming presence for super active dogs, like doodles, and also experience with the more energetic breeds.”

“Our cat and chickens were well cared for by Jill during several days of drop in visits. Jill welcomed and fulfilled my detailed requests for their care and provided daily updates to confirm that all was well with our animals.”

About: I have experience caring for multiple dogs at a time, including caring for three dogs in one household and two dogs in another. I was responsible for their daily care and making sure they were safe, fed, exercised, and comfortable. Managing several dogs at once taught me how to stay patient, attentive, and organized, even when they were energetic or had different personalities and needs. I genuinely enjoy being around dogs and would treat every pet in my care like they were my own. I only have a college class twice a week for only one hour of my day and I have a part-time job that is only certain days of the week. Rover will be the perfect fill-in for all that extra time that I have, and I will always put my customers first. I live in a very mellow neighborhood where there are also many dogs around me where people are walking their dogs and having them on leashes, I live in an apartment that is very dog friendly and I will spend all of my time taking the dog or taking it out on the grass, we do have a dog area at my apartment.
“Diego did a phenomenal job with our 3 cats while we were on a weekend trip! He sent updates and pictures on every visit and we could tell our kitties had a great time! They were happy and relaxed when we got home.”

About: I grew up with many animals in our household from dogs, cats, turtles, birds, fish, and bunnies and always had a unique connection to them. I have an innate empathetic understanding with them. I have experience with training younger dogs, as well as taking care of elderly dogs. I have experience providing necessary medication if needed, as well as lots of love and snuggles and adventurous hikes or leisurely walks for elderly animals. Currently I have a cat and would love to have another dog but for now getting to take care of other people's dogs or cats would satisfy my desire to be around lots of animals. I am currently a full-time student and I work remotely online so my schedule is flexible and I can work from anywhere. I would prefer to watch dogs and cats in your home. I like to communicate with the owner of the pet and get a clear understanding if there is a particular feeding or walk schedule, as well as if medications are required, or crate preferences. I am happy to send a photo of your animal baby each day if you like daily check ups. I love communication so trust and understanding are developed between myself and the owner.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
