“Laura was excellent in every single way. Communication was fantastic, she looked out for the well-being of our pup, and she was very kind. Highly recommend and will rebook again soon.”

“Pamela was great to my little Henry! This was Henry's first experience with a sitter and it was for 5 nights! My family and I were so nervous to see how Henry would adjust to a new environment. Pamela's home was very clean and welcoming. Her communication was great and her detailed daily updates and pictures really put us at ease and made us feel confident that he was adjusting well. Henry looked so relaxed and easy going in the pictures. I am so happy to have found Pamela and if we need a sitter in the future I would definitely book with her again!”
“Mikaela was amazing! Flexible with our changing schedule. She sent us updates and photos multiple times throughout the day which made us feel more comfortable about leaving our fur baby behind. The kennels were spotless and the run area was large and well kept. We would definitely use her again.”

About: Hey, I’m Zachary! I’m the guy who ends up hanging out with the dog at someone else’s house. I know leaving your dog with someone takes trust, and I want you to feel comfortable knowing they’re getting plenty of attention and being well cared for. Tell me their routine, their favorite things, and any little habits I should know about—I’m happy to keep things how they’re used to. Whether they love long walks, playing fetch, or just having someone nearby, I’ll make sure they feel at home. And I’ll send pictures along the way, because I know you’re going to miss them. When I take a booking, I make sure I have time for the care and attention your dog needs. We’ll go over their usual schedule beforehand so meals, walks, and potty breaks stay as close to their normal routine as possible. I want you to feel comfortable leaving your dog with me, so I’ll ask about their habits, any special needs, and what helps them settle in. I’ll follow your instructions, respect your home, and send photos and updates so you’re never left wondering how they’re doing.
“We are thrilled to have found Licia and her partner. They are so caring and loving and safe. We had complete confidence leaving our princess for a week with them. Our only concern was that our puppy was so well taken care of that she might want to stay rather than come home with us.”

“Leaving a puppy for the first time is difficult but he had way more fun than being in a crate in Atlanta for the night. Thanks to Stefanie for all the wonderful pictures and updates! Washi really loved his stay and hopefully wasn't too too much energy 😁”

About: What sets me apart is that caring for dogs isn’t just a job to me—it’s truly been my life for as long as I can remember. I have 4 years of professional experience as a veterinary technician, giving me hands-on experience with dogs of all ages, personalities, and needs. I’ve also bred French Bulldogs for 8 years, so I have extensive experience with puppies, including feeding, socialization, routines, and early training. I’m comfortable caring for puppies, senior dogs, high-energy dogs, and dogs who need a little extra patience and attention. I can also help reinforce basic training and good manners while your pup is in my care. Most importantly, I treat every dog like they’re my own. With a lifetime of experience, professional veterinary knowledge, and a genuine love for dogs, I want every pup staying with me to feel safe, loved, comfortable, and right at home. 🐾❤️ Pet sitting fits naturally into my daily schedule because I already spend most of my time at home caring for my own dogs and working part-time from my computer. This allows me to provide consistent supervision, attention, and companionship throughout the day. I’m able to maintain regular feeding, potty, medication, exercise, and rest routines while giving each pet the individualized care they need. 🐾 Safety, Trust & a Home Away From Home Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities! I have a secure, fenced in yard with separate fenced areas, which allows me to safely give dogs their own space when needed. I also have **my own crates available** if your pup is comfortable with crating, and I can easily separate visiting dogs from my own dogs whenever necessary. My dogs are very friendly and used to having other dogs around, but I always prioritize safety and supervision. I’m especially careful about **size and temperament differences. I keep larger dogs separated from smaller dogs when appropriate, so everyone can enjoy their stay safely and comfortably. With secure outdoor areas, multiple ways to separate dogs, and plenty of hands on supervision, I’ll treat your pup like one of my own while they’re here. ❤️🐶

About: Since a little girl, there has always been dogs inside or outside of the house. As of right now, I have six dogs all different sizes, ages, and personalities. Therefore, I am very comfortable handling anything from energetic puppies to senior pups who need a gentler space. I understand how to manage multiple dogs at once and read their body language to make sure each one gets the care they need. Because of that, I am patient, adaptable, and used to real life situations. I treat every animal like they are my own regardless of where I am (why I have 6 lol), and make sure they feel safe and loved. I am currently a freshman in college who is fully online. Therefore, I have plenty of time on my hands to play with your pups and get what they need! During the summer time, I will be doing this full time as I will be on break. I have a large yard with many pups yours can play with. If needed, I can easily crate your dog if that is what you prefer, however, all dogs are welcome on the furniture here. I also have a quieter space for the older, wanting to sleep dogs🙂
About: Howdy! My love for animals is ever growing! I have a few fur babies of my own, but I’m so excited to get to hang with the pets within my community! I’ve cared for a large range of animals- from brand new babes to old farts- cats, dogs, lizards, snakes, chickens, ducks, horses, goats, pigs, fish, etc! I currently have open availability! I’m in a transition period for my seasonal jobs, which means more time for adventures and cuddles with your pets! Regarding pups- I have one sweetie ole girl at home. If caring for the pets in my space, I like to do a pre-sit meeting to make sure they get along beforehand. (If that doesn’t work I can always keep them separated during the stay). We have a fenced in back yard with lots of room for the zoomies! & a few acres around us to roam if they have good recall. Regarding most other animals- would be happy to come to your place and follow your routine!
About: I grew up with all kinds of animals, but I have always had a soft spot for dogs. I currently have a senior pup at home who is living his best life. In addition to caring for our family pets, I have helped family and friends care for their furry family members. Bringing in your pet to my home is a great way for me to love on as many furry friends as possible! I currently work full time job so I am currently only available on the weekends, Friday - Monday. I provide boarding, dogs walks and drop in visits. My home has a fenced yard, a little guy named Buddy to play with (if he chooses) most of the time he likes to stay to himself! We can play fetch, go on walks around the neighborhood or just chill. This will all depend on what your pet likes the most! Your pet will be crated when I go out and at night for their safety!
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Dillard
We needed a good place for our Boykin Spaniel to hang out for 2 weeks. From reading Laura's profile and reviews, her working from home and her two girls we knew this was the place. Pictures and updates almost every day allowed us to miss her less. If you are unfamiliar with Boykin Spaniels they are a special needs dog 😄. South Carolinas answer for a smaller high energy duck and quail hunting dog. She needs lots of exercise and a purpose to keep her happy and Laura and family were up to the task. Walks and ball playing as well as playing with the girls kept her very entertained. We highly recommend Laura and will be using her services again soon.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Dillard home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Dillard.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Dillard sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
