About: I currently have a 12 year old Lab/mix dog, he is super sweet and loves attention. He is very friendly and no problems so far with other dogs. I have worked with a dog groomer before and would help out when needed. I can bathe your pooch anytime. I have had pets with separation anxiety before as well. I had an austrailian shepard growing up and she had separation anxiety bad, It wasn't easy but we were able to get her to not tear up the house anymore. If you have a pet that deals with separation anxiety then I would love to watch your pet for you. I work full time in Jupiter, FL during the week so weekends would be the only time I have available. I look forward to working with your pet(s). What do you say? Are you ready to let your pet have a wonderful time while you go out for a night and have some time to yourself? If so, I am your gal. I look forward to this adventure! I would be available most weekends to do drop in visits and possibly staying at your home if need be. Just let me know what you need and I will see if I can work it out. I have a fenced yard and have a dog who would love having a friend over sometimes. He gets along with every dog he comes into contact with.
“I was nervous about someone we just met staying in my home with my dogs while we were away. Also, I have three pitties who come with a LOT of energy. Chris did an excellent job of making us feel comfortable at the two meet and greets, as well as this past weekend while we were in Tennessee. She was communicative and very helpful. She left the house cleaner than when she arrived. It’s safe to say that, given how it has gone so far, we are much more confident going to France for almost two weeks in a few days here. We’re confident Chris will take care of our home and pups. Got ourselves a dog sitter.”
About: I’m a firefighter, lifelong dog lover, and avid sports fan with years of hands on experience caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities. I grew up in a home that always had four or more dogs, which gave me a strong foundation in understanding their needs, behaviors, and quirks. During high school, I also volunteered for two years at the Oklahoma City Animal Shelter, where I gained valuable experience working with a wide variety of breeds. From tiny 5-pound Chihuahuas with big personalities to gentle 150-pound Akitas, I’m comfortable handling dogs of all temperaments and energy levels. I take pride in providing attentive, reliable, and compassionate care tailored to each dog. You can count on me to treat your dog like family keeping them safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I’m a firefighter, and my schedule is very open,I only work Sundays and Mondays, plus one Saturday night each month. That gives me plenty of flexibility and availability throughout the week to provide reliable, attentive care for your pet. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, medication, or just keeping your best friend company, I’ll be there whenever needed to make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for. I care for every pet as if they were my own. I know that every dog has a unique personality and routine, so I take the time to follow your instructions closely. From feeding schedules and walks to playtime, medications, and bedtime routines. My goal is to keep your pet comfortable by maintaining the routine they’re used to while giving them plenty of attention, affection, and exercise. Whether I’m caring for your dog in my home or yours, you’ll have peace of mind knowing they’re in a safe, clean, and loving environment. I also provide regular photo and video updates, so you can see how your best friend is doing while you’re away. I understand how important trust is when choosing someone to care for your pet, and I strive to make every dog feel happy, secure, and loved until you’re back home.
“Shelby has pet sit for me now twice. Both times my pets are taken care of WONDERFULLY! She always leaves my house in pristine condition and keeps me updated with pictures of my fur babies each day. Definitely highly recommend her!”

“Cassidy took great care of our fur babies! Our normal sitter was not available this time, so of course went with another. She took the time to spend with our senior pup when she needed it the most and also gave lots of love to our kitties and cleaned their boxes without asking. Would recommend or use again if needed!”

About: I myself own 2 dogs. Both of which are spoiled rotten! I have also pet-sit for family with absolutely no complications, even during 4th of July weekend! I’m currently working part-time, so i have plenty of time to play with your fur babies! I am available on weekdays and weekends, whenever you need constant care. My pets are pretty laid back, however, coming across other dogs always calls for caution due to my youngest being skittish. This goes for my cousins dog as well, so being aware of the pets needs is key to giving them a happy, cared for experience.

“Kiana was an absolute joy and blessing for our Goldendoodle, Minnie Pearl. Kiana stayed at our home with Minnie while we were away at our son’s wedding. We knew we could fully be there because Kiana was at our home with Minnie. We would engage her again without question. Thanks for being a great sitter and a better human being. -The Hockett’s”

About: I grew up with animals my whole life. I got my first cat and dog as an adult when I was 21 years old. Since then I've always had animals, including a few rabbits along the way. In our household, I'm the one who feeds and bathes our dogs because I've been a stay-at-home mom for years. I've been through the senior years of pets so I understand the extra care they can require and I'm comfortable giving them medicine. I've also been through the puppy phase multiple times, and I've even been through multiple dog pregnancies with my current two doggy fur babies. I'm not currently working because I've been a stay-at-home mom for many years so I have plenty of time to take care of other pets. If I take a job in the future, it'll be remote so I can still have flexibility in my schedule. I'm comfortable crating a pet if that's what you want (I've had a couple of dogs that were destructive as young pups so they had to be crated in their younger years). I would also enjoy spending time outside in a fenced yard with your dogs.

“Kristin took such great care of our babies while staying at our house for the weekend. She was very attentive to the details of care for each of our babies. It was a relief to know they were in such good hands while we were out of town. I’m so glad we found her!”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Dibble walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Dibble maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Dibble choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Dibble. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
