Upon messaging Elaine about her availability she immediately proposed a meet and greet. I was nervous Sepia wouldn’t get along with her own two dogs but it went wonderfully! Elaine and her husband were flexible with my tentative schedule and offered to host sepia for the night when I found out I needed to leave extremely early the next morning. With my crazy work schedule, I will 100% go straight to Elaine and Steven. Sepia clearly made herself at home ? and was spoiled with treats and endless love.”

About: I have built my life around loving and caring for animals. I have been with my local SPCA for 11 years and have been president for 8 years. My family has rescued and loved many animals throughout our lives and I would like nothing more than to extend that love to your pets. I am available at all times as I have retired and most of my SPCA volunteer work is done from my home. If for whatever reason I am not going to be there I will make sure you will be informed prior to my absence and my husband is available in the rare instance I am not. I have a dog boarding facility that can house up to 17 dogs of all sizes. There is a large outdoor play area and nice cozy accommodations including indoor and outdoor runs. Dogs have access to one on one play (including private walks) as well as group play depending on your preference and dog temperament.

About: Hi my names Amadi. Thanks for taking a second to check out my profile! I have a little over 15 years of experience in training dogs, helping with socialization skills, and general caretaking. Currently I work from home, a light schedule as I’m testing to obtain another specialty license. In my daily life I used to foster dogs for a rescue. Most of my fosters came from very rough beginnings and had many social and/or anxiety issues but we have been able to overcome them💙 With that being said I totally understand how some dogs are unsure of new people and I’m 100% willing to take the time needed to get to know your fur baby. I do currently have an iguana in his own enclosure and I have extensive reptile knowledge and I’m willing to assist with those as well. I currently have a light schedule that I work from home, so I am available for a lot of pet care needs. I do frequent bathroom visits play, and meal time. I am 100% about safety first. I will not accept any new dogs that will put anyone else in jeopardy. Although I have experience in housing a large number of dogs from my time fostering out in Goochland, and my time working in a doggy daycare, I do not wish to take on a large number of dogs at any one time.

Additionally: • Dogs should be free of fleas, ticks, and any contagious illnesses • Please let me know if your pet has recently been sick or exposed to illness • Pets showing signs of illness (vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, etc.) may need to reschedule for everyone’s safety I truly care about creating a safe, clean, and stress-free environment for every pet. We love walks, so a well behaved dog is always welcome on our walks with us. The children in my life are also dog lovers and will be happy to snuggle, play and dote on your fur baby, too. I have a fenced in yard, a pet friendly home and I have a large crate, if needed. For anxious dogs, I have the space to keep your fur baby apart from other animals in my home.

I've raised and trained my own dogs throughout my life, volunteered with pet shelters and continued expanding my knowledge by learning from professional dog trainers, attending obedience classes, and reading about canine behavior. As a stay at home Mom, I'm home most of the day allowing me to provide constant supervision, companionship, and individualized care. Your dog will enjoy a large, securely fenced backyard, a calm cage-free environment (unless you provide your own crate), and lots of love and attention. My goal is to provide a safe, loving home where your dog feels like part of the family while you're away. Where dogs spend the day like part of the family! Throughout the day I provide frequent potty breaks, playtime, companionship, and constant supervision. I intentionally accept a limited number of dogs so each one receives individualized attention. Your dog's safety and comfort are my top priorities. My home has a large, securely fenced backyard for supervised outdoor play, and dogs are never left outside unattended. I provide a calm, cage-free environment unless you prefer to bring your dog's own crate. Baby gates are used to separate areas of the home when needed. I accept a maximum of two guest dogs at a time to keep the environment safe and low stress. All guest dogs must be at least one year old, house-trained, fully vaccinated, non-reactive toward other dogs, and most importantly are comfortable around children ages 4 and 7. I do not accept puppies or board cats. Meet-and-greets are required before every first booking to ensure everyone is comfortable and a good match.
