Thank you so much for sitting with my little rascals. With their various personalities I needed someone who could provide equal care to them both. I will definitely contact you again in the future for any future needs.

Savannah is amazing! After finding my long lost cat who was missing for 5 years, it's difficult to leave him, especially because he has to be kept separate from my other male cat. But Savannah came over to meet the cats ahead of time and followed my instructions to the letter, and even got my super shy cat to come out to say hi to her. Knowing she was there to check on my babies allowed me to relax and enjoy my vacation. She also sent adorable pictures that I absolutely treasure. It helped put my mind at ease while I was away. I am already planning on booking with her again. Highly recommend!!!

About: I have worked with puppy’s, potty training, kitten litter box training, training cats to refrain from scratching furniture. I’ve worked with all breeds of dogs, (Pitbulls, Cane Corsos, Miniature Poodles) I do not have a sense of smell, hahaha (from a car accident over 20 years ago) so cleaning litter boxes or picking up doggy potty doesn’t bother me! I live in an apartment that doesn’t allow pets. I’m “that neighbor” who takes care of all the stray cats, haha. I work from home as a freelance writer and artist therefore have a very flexible schedule. I also have a 9 year old who lives with me half the week and his father half the week. Thankfully, we coparent beautifully and work with each other’s schedules. I do believe it takes a lot of stress off of your pet not having to leave their environment. They are already feeling the stress having “their person” away so I find it’s best for the animal having a sitter in the environment they’re already used to. I follow whatever your routine is in the home. Only exception would be if you’re seeking additional behavior training . When I train, in a way I treat the animals as if they’re toddlers. There’s a reward system.

Maya followed all of my instructions and really tried to do things as I do them so my cats had some consistency while I was out of town. She also did a really good job navigating all of the different, and sometimes difficult, personalities of my cats. I’d rebook with her next time I’m out of town.

Naomi is the best! We needed someone to check in on our Golden in short notice, and Naomi was incredibly responsive and flexible. She even went out of her way to make a quick meet and greet happen, to ensure a smooth/great experience for all. Our pup really loved her. Highly recommend Naomi for your pets!

About: I've spent my entire life living with and caring for both dogs and cats. While I have more hands-on experience with cats, I'm also comfortable caring for dogs and meeting their daily needs, as long as they don't require specialized medical or behavioral care. I have experience caring for pets at every stage of life, from playful puppies and kittens to senior pets requiring extra patience and attention. Over the years, I've administered saline injections to cats, given oral medications, and mixed medications into food when necessary. As I am currently attending school, I dedicate part of each day to my studies. Outside of my schoolwork, I have a flexible schedule. My availability may occasionally be affected by holidays or special occasions, but I am always happy to work with clients to find a suitable arrangement whenever possible. I will treat your home and pets with the same care and respect I give my own. Your home will be kept clean, tidy, and just as you left it. In the unlikely event of a simple accident, such as a spill, it will be cleaned up promptly and with care.

Wendy is such a great pet sitter. She is very punctual. She did a perfect job with our 2 cats. By the 3rd day they were waiting by the front door for her to come in. That is impressive considering that we have 2 scare cats. She did a perfect job with the litter box and also with the cat dishes. She is my number ONE sitter for my next booking.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
