“Communication with Amy and Chris was smooth and easy. They're both very caring, and Boo had a good day with Chris. I will say that given Boo's energy level -- he's a hunting-dog mutt who loves to run --he's probably better off where there's a fenced yard or an opportunity for long walks...but this is no reflection on Amy and Chris. It was our choice to give them a try.”

“Thank you Bob for your love and care and for looking after our pup Milo so well. Was wonderful to see him so content and relaxed when we collected him. We will happily recommend you to all in the area and look forward to seeing you again soon xx”

“Willow was super tired and had a great time. Kirsten and Mark knew just how to handle our high-anxiety dog. Their property is like Disney Land for dogs! Tons of space and places to explore and run around in safely. Their dogs are super friendly and welcomed Willow into their pack easily. We recommend Kirsten and Mark highly!”

About: I am a life-long animal lover and an experienced walker and sitter for dogs. I also am great with cat care. I have over 25 years of pet care experience and provide catered attention for each pet I sit whether in your home or mine. I can provide references beyond my Rover testimonials, as I am still relatively new to the app. I have worked in pet care privately for several years. I am a full-time dog walker and pet sitter. I am available for daily walks and pet sitting - whether for a day, week,or longer. I am available to care for your pet in your home if preferred !! I believe it’s important to organize activities according to a pets’ individual needs. I strive to provide all pets in my care with the appropriate exercises and stimulation to meet their daily physical requirements and interests.

About: I didn’t get to experience the joy of growing up with dogs or cats but as soon as I was able I began taking in fosters from the NYC shelter system. It was quite a learning experience spending time with many dogs (and a few cats) of all different types and personalities. I no longer foster but I bring the experience and dedication from working with so many shelter pets to caring for your furry family members. And as a pet parent now myself I have been through many sitters so I understand what makes a good one! A note on boarding and meet and greets: I’m happy to have boarding candidates come by to meet me and check out the space but I do not do meet and greets with my own dogs. My dogs are dog friendly but they are too chaotic and excitable to meet new dogs and owners right away. New dogs are kept separate at first and introduced at their own pace when everyone is calm. This minimizes stress for everyone and allows for better interactions. I currently work out of the house Monday/Wednesday/Friday but my schedule is somewhat flexible. The rest of the week I work at home and I am often available all weekend. Dogs in my home have access to a securely fenced large yard for running and fetch, as well as a quiet neighborhood for walks. If the weather is warm dogs have access to a dog door so they may go outside as they please. If your dog likes to play with other dogs mine will certainly be happy to accommodate but they can also have separate spaces if quiet time is needed. In your home I will make every effort to keep your pets schedule as familiar as possible while offering lots of love and stimulation. As someone who has had many sitters come through and stay at my house I understand the importance of trust and cleanliness so you can be away without worry.

“Knox had the best time with Gabor and his family! The yard was absolutely amazing and provided a fun and active day for our pup. Missy is a sweetheart and played along with our active puppy. We truly appreciated a very easy experience while we were exploring the area. Gabor also sent tons of photos and was very communicative.”

“Mazen was awesome! Our dog loved him immediately, and he was prompt, communicative, and kind. He took great care of our dog and she had a fulfilling day. She came home looking content and relaxed - we will definitely book again!”

About: Hey there! I've walked and sat dogs (not sat on) on and off for the past 16 years, as part of dog sitting agencies and doggy daycares, for friends and family, as well as for my own dog. Caring for furry creatures is one of the most therapeutic antidotes to city life, and because dogs and other animals put me in such a good heart and head space, I'm always present with them and return the favor. I've cared for very young puppies, as well as elderly dogs and cats with special needs. I also have experience with birds, having owned birds myself. I've administered inhalers for asthma and walked dogs twice my size. I love every animal I come to meet, even those who don't warm up right away. I work from home part-time and set my own schedule, so my weekly availability is very open and flexible. I'd be happy to adjust my plans whenever possible to fit in a walk or a drop-in same day. I care for all pets as I would my own, giving a mix of attention, gentle discipline, and affection in the amounts that each moment calls for. Ensuring that your furry friend feels safe and comfortable in my care, whether they are in my home or their own, is of utmost importance to me. I carry myself with a calm, confident presence when meeting new dogs, to make sure we start our relationship off on the right paw.

About: As a professional, certified dog trainer and k9 handler for the last 20 years I am the premier doggie boarding, sitting, walking and training in the Hudson Valley. Canine communication is our speciality and we love teaching our clients how to speak dog! I love your pet like our own and our clients become part of our family for life! We do not whisper, we translate. Our world revolves around DOGS. I exclusively offer walking, boarding, training, daycare and drop in visits full time. If it isn’t dogs I don’t do it! PS I also will love your kitty or farm animals too! We have a fully fenced in yard, live on 15 acres and have both crates and kennel runs for pups who prefer not to be as social or for in heat or intact dogs. We do have a toddler who is dog savvy and our pack of pups who love to play and entertain. We have a three floor house so plenty of room for those persnickety pups who’d like their space. When we travel to your home we learn their space and their routine to make the best experience!

About: As a child I grew up with the love of pets especially dogs. Grew up with pugs, rottweilers, and husky's. I am a huge dog lover and will make sure I take great care of your pet. I have a very nice house with plenty of space to play, along with a large yard. I have 4 children who have an absolute love for animals, they would be great playmates for your pet! I will be sure to walk, play, feed/water, bathe, and most of all make your pet feel loved! I will make your pet feel like they are home away from home..that they are loved and taken care of. Thank You. I'm currently working part-time and have a flexible schedule so I can make sure I find the time to care for your pet as needed. I have 4 friendly children who would love to make your pet feel loved and safe. I also have a very friendly dog myself named Lady!

Jennifer G.
“I was a police canine handler and after a terrible experience with another boarding and animal care provider I began using Jennifer’s services. She was fantastic. Very few pet caregivers can handle a high drive dominant dog. Jennifer handled him with ease. If she can handle the 90 pound fur missile that I had, there is no doubt in my mind she is capable of handling any dog. I highly recommend all of her services.”

Krystin B.
“To whom it may concern, Krystin has dog sat and walked our two dogs for about 3 years now. We have two pitbull/rottweiler mix breeds one female and one male. She has gone above and beyond to care for our pets as if they were her own. She has always been kind to our animals and quick to report back with any minor issues she had with them and was also willing to go the extra mile to help out and find some solutions to any small behavioral issues we may have come across. Lastly she has always been reliable and at times rearranged her personal schedule to meet our needs in any cases where we needed some helping watching the pets on quick notice. I hope this can help to anyone looking to have Krystin care for or walk their pets in the future. Thanks,”
