When I finally received my first dog, Omega—a brilliant Standard Poodle who lived to be 14—I trained him from scratch in everything from advanced stays to agility pole jumping. To back this natural passion with formal education, I completed three years at Virginia Tech, majoring in Animal & Poultry Science (Companion Animal Track). Through my intensive collegiate lab work, I gained hands-on experience with multiple species and mastered advanced animal husbandry, livestock handling, anatomy, and medical administration protocols (including multiple injection methods). This rigorous science background transitions directly into my capability as a handler. My daily life revolves around the development of working lines and guardian breeds. I specialize in basic and advanced obedience, loose-leash positioning, and structured boundaries. I am actively developing my very first personal sport prospect, hand-feeding for precision obedience. I recently whelped and successfully raised a healthy, large working cross litter of 10 puppies, and I am now offering my training services through my rover profile. Safety is my absolute priority, which is why all yard time is strictly supervised by me personally. Dogs with verified, bulletproof off-leash recall are permitted to utilize the full property line. For companions still developing their foundations, I utilize a professional 30-foot training long-line, allowing them total freedom to run and explore safely without any risk of escape. I have A 10 ft x 10ft enclosure for free roam time. Inside my home, I offer a highly versatile, stress-free environment tailored to your dog's specific social needs. I can accommodate social dogs who thrive around other animals, as well as dogs requiring complete separation. If your companion prefers individual space, my personal dogs can be securely rotated to my upper level, and my current puppy prospects are trained to settle quietly in their crates. This leaves my entire downstairs area or my private home office completely open for your dog to relax in. I have multiple heavy-duty, large crates on hand to assist dogs who need a secure, cozy boundary to settle in a new environment. When providing care inside your home for house-sitting or drop-in visits, I maintain that exact same elite standard of structure and safety. About: As a retired teacher, creating a safe, calm, and nurturing environment is second nature to me—and that extends to every pet in my care. My home sits on a beautiful lake with large grassy areas, giving your dog plenty of space to explore, play, and relax on leash or off. I have both a female Boykin Spaniel dog and a female Snow Hylander cat of my own, so I understand how important it is to trust someone with your fur babies. Whether your pet loves outdoor time, quiet companionship, or a consistent routine, I strive to make them feel right at home. Your baby needs to be cat and dog friendly. I will administer prescribed medications as needed. My goal is simple: to give you complete peace of mind while you’re away, knowing your pet is safe, loved, and well cared for in a comfortable, stress-free environment. I am a retired teacher and am home to love and care for your pet while you enjoy your time away. My schedule is flexible to meet your pet's needs. I live on the lake and have a large grassy area for your baby to play and explore with my dog on or off the leash. Inside the home, space will be also be shared with my cat. So, your baby will need to be cat friendly as well. We have a relaxed environment, but I am willing to adjust to your dog's routine as needed.

About: Friends, coworkers, and family members have trusted me with taking care of their pets over the years. Most of my formal experience with caring for other peoples pets came during and after college, however I was raised around pets (cats and dogs) and learned how to be safe and responsible with animals when I was very little. I am very comfortable with a variety of breeds and temperaments. I have a good understanding of basic commands and have trained two of my own dogs from puppies. I grew up around dogs and cats (we had three golden retrievers at one point!) and always looked forward to getting a dog of my own. There is something about the bond between owner and dog that is special and unique. I enjoy having this bond with my own dog but I also love meeting new animals and seeing their personalities come out as they get comfortable interacting. I have been exposed to many types of dogs while dog sitting, visiting local dog parks, and traveling with our dogs to pet friendly locations. I am familiar with caring for dogs that take oral medication and/or have health problems such as limited sight or blindness. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about hiring me for boarding, dog walking, check-ins, or dog day care! I have one small child in the home, so any dogs staying with us during the day or overnight would need to be comfortable and well behaved enough to be around a young child. I wake up early and go to bed around 9pm/10pm. I have one dog in the home who is very friendly and well socialized. He takes little to no time to warm up to other dogs when introduced. Your dog will have plenty of space to be comfortable to chill and play! We enjoy spending time outside on nice days. When it is too hot or cold outside I make sure our pup gets playtime or enrichment toys/treats inside. I currently can offer dog walking services, daily check-ins for cats or dogs, and day/night boarding at our home (as long as your pet is a good and safe fit for a home with a small child). We have a large front and backyard as well as a carport/porch area. There is plenty of space for playing fetch, having the zoomies, or chewing on a treat while getting some fresh air, rain or shine! If your dog requires being leashed/walked when going potty, that is no problem. There is plenty of space to take them around the yard for sniffs and potty, as well as walkable streets near our house, and a beautiful park with a walking trail less than 2 minutes away. Our dog currently follows recall and commands to do his "business" and come back, but if we are caring for another dog we will leash them both or follow the owner's preferences and what they are comfortable with.

My routine revolves around making sure my dog is walked, fed, and given plenty of attention throughout the day. Feel free to message me about availability! I typically am available whenever you need!! I have a very friendly and energetic Husky in my home who loves staying active. We go on walks around the neighborhood about every 2 hours for potty breaks, as well as mental and physical stimulation. We also occasionally enjoy car rides to the dog park for extra fun and exercise. Since my yard is unfenced, I have a secure outdoor lead available. If your dog enjoys spending time outside like mine, I’d be happy to accommodate that upon request. For safety and comfort, I also have a crate available and can crate your dog or mine as needed.

About: I’ve worked in vet med for 4 years and can promptly handle any type of emergency. I am comfortable medicating dogs and cats of all ages, and I can perform CPR if necessary. I have also worked at doggy daycares taking care of 100+ animals at a time. I have been pet sitting since I was in high school, and I care for each animal as my own! I am trustworthy, reliable, and very communicative with pet parents. My schedule is pretty open right now! I do book up quickly though so please try to book in advance if you can. I can do same-day bookings most of the time, but I may be booked up for the day sometimes! If I agree to the booking, I will make it happen no matter what. I have a fully fenced in backyard. I have one senior husky, one middle-aged mutt, and one young cat in my own home. They are all healthy and on heartworm/flea/tick prevention. They are well socialized and get along with other dogs really well. I am happy to take your pet on walks if that is what they need to get their energy out as well!

About: Since the age of 23, I have independently cared for three dogs entrusted to me by my mother. This ongoing responsibility has required daily attention to their feeding, grooming, and exercise routines, strengthening my time management, reliability, and caregiving skills. Since I stay at home, I have plenty of time and flexibility to care for pets and easily work it into my daily schedule . When pets stay in my home, they’re treated like family. About: I provide customized care for your furr babies and I only take on one family at a time. I’ve taken care of dogs of many breeds for over 50 years I do not work. I do volunteer work which only requires about 2 hours at a time out of my home each day. So, I have plenty of time to spend with the dogs I care for. It is my goal to ensure your dog(s) have a stress free experience while you are away. I take only one family at a time for your dog(s) safety. With a fenced yard (4 foot picket fence) there will be plenty of potty breaks and playtime.
