Shanna was the best! She took great care of our energetic labs! We enjoyed the updates and pictures throughout their stay. Goose and Tater clearly enjoyed themselves. I’m certain they will look forward to staying with her again! Shanna is knowledgeable about dogs and their needs. You can rest easy that your pet is in capable hands!

About: My journey started with owning cats growing up and training every animal I ever owned leading up to my first dog. My cats and even my bird. When I was 12, I started dog sitting Pierre, my mom’s coworkers Yorkshire Terrier. He caused me to fall in love with dogs. I became obsessed with AKC dog shows, my mom and I watched it every Thanksgiving morning after the parade. I actually loved anything with animals. I owned many cats from the age of 4 through my teenage years. I love cats but they can’t do what dogs can. Finally after years of begging, my mom got us our first dog, Omega. He was a beautiful standard poodle and was so smart. My best friends mom had a friend who needed to rehome one of hers, he was 1 when we got him and I taught him all he knew from down, stay to jumping over a pole. Before going off to college I chose to foster dogs in need and I fostered three successfully who went off and found their forever homes. It was the most rewarding thing. So I decided if I can work with dogs my entire life and just be around them all day for a job Id be in heaven! Naturally my teenage brain thought “I’ll be a Veterinarian”! I completed 3 years at Virginia Tech majoring in Animal & Poultry Science doing the Companion Animal Tract. I was able to receive a lot of hands on experience with animals of all kinds; pigs, cattle, sheep, horses and chickens (of all ages). I learned skills from halter breaking heifers to administering shots in 3 different ways. Though I do enjoy animals of all kinds I eventually came to the realization that I thoroughly enjoy training dogs and I’m constantly training my own. I currently have two that im working with regularly just for fun at one point and so it dawned on me that I’m in the wrong career. So while in the process of developing and launching my own personal Dog training and boarding business. Since I work from home, I have the time and knowledge to be able to dedicate to helping others who are in need of these services now. Trusting their fur babies will receive the best of care and would be made to feel at home. If your baby is more comfortable in their own home I’m happy to accommodate to their needs. Leaving your fur babies is not always easy, trust me, I’m having to do it for the first time soon myself and with me you can have the peace of mind that your furry friends will be in great hands, as I will treat them just how I’d expect mine to be treated ! With nothing but love, care and patience. I have Experience with all ages! Omega was with us until he passed at the age of 14! My dogs recently had an accidental litter and I raised up 10 puppies who all lived and are 12 weeks old now ! I’m familiar with administering pills or medications if necessary. 7 puppies remain in my care as I want to make sure they go to great homes and I plan to train them as service dog prospects ! I train dogs in basic and advance obedience, on and off leash training, and some skills like protection and sport work. I work from home full time starting my work day at 12:30 pm and ending at 9 pm. I get two 15 minute breaks and one 30 minute lunch through the day. During which they would be able to potty and play. So your furry friend will always have someone home with them. It is a goal of mine to eventually do this full time. I have A large yard on an acre property. Dogs who are trained off leash can roam in the back which has rock boarders lining the property. For those not trained off lead i have A long 30 ft lead which will still allow them the freedom to run around. I have two adult dogs and a litter of puppies still with me who can keep any anxious friends company. And for those who need to be alone, my two can be kept upstairs in my room and the puppies can be crated leaving your friend the entire downstairs to roam or in my work office with me while I work. I have two large crates which can be used if your friend has a hard time getting settled in a new environment. I provide an enriching environment where your fur baby will learn how to be a better k9 citizen everyday ! Picture and video updates can be sent regularly !

Danielle was amazing! Our dog, Goose, is very timid around other dogs, but he really came out of his shell during his stay. He loved playing with her goldens! She was very responsive and took such great care of Goose. She truly went above and beyond, even washing him off when he had some diarrhea from nerves & dealing with Goose being a sock thief 😅. We will definitely be using her services again soon!

Kristal and her family are awesome! This was my first time using Rover and I was a little worried leaving Gunther for 5 days over christmas and more so when she had mentioned she takes many dogs at a time this time of year. But being last minute, I needed someone. All of her other reviews were good and so I made the leap of faith. I am so glad I did. Kristal provided daily updates and pictures. Extremely flexible and easy to work with on pick up/dropoffs and has fair and comparable prices as anyone else on the app. She even went above and beyond to buy all the dogs there a small christmas stocking with treats and a toy in it. Between her and her husband, and their several kids and all the other dogs. Your pet will get constant love and attention. Gunther will definitely be going back here anytime I need to head out of town. I wish I could give her more than 5 stars. Thank you so much Kristal for taking such good care of Gunther and constantly putting my mind at easy.

Our dogs are pretty hard headed and hard to get along with, but they loved Brittany. From the first meet & greet all the way through the boarding, they were loved and valued as if they were her own dogs! She gave us so many photos and updates so we were always in-the-know on how our dogs were doing. Brittany is so thoughtful she noticed one dog had some bad dry skin so she gave her an oatmeal bath to make her more comfortable. We will definitely be contacting Brittany again!

About: I have always had dogs growing up, but as an adult I gained more experience with dogs of all sizes, cats, rodents and reptiles. I currently have a senior chihuahua who is 16 years old, a 1 year old chihuahua, a 3 year old border collie mix, as well as 2 cats. I have professional experience with dogs of all sizes, and have cared for a variety of pets. I stay up to date with researching animal behavior and health and feel comfortable caring for pets with special needs. I get off at 4pm on weekdays and never work weekends or holidays, giving me lots of availability to care for your pets! If you book a boarding or daycare service with me on the weekend, I will be home to provide frequent potty breaks and exercise as well as all the belly rubs they might want. I offer check-ins at the client’s home as well as boarding at my home. If boarding your pet at my house, it is important to know I have dogs and cats if my own as well as a young child. I am happy to discuss all requests and rules related to caring for your pet, as I see them as family! I understand how important it is to have a trustworthy caregiver that will take your pets on safe walks, feed them the appropriate amount, and ensure their needs are met. I have a large fenced in yard allowing pets to get plenty of exercise while I watch them.

Apollo loves Bri! We are so glad we found her on Rover. She sent a lot of pictures during his overnight stay and he always looked super happy. After this stay, we have continued to take Apollo to Bri's in-home dog day care. She does some training with him and he comes home exhausted from all the play time throughout the day. Thanks, Bri!

Carrie was WONDERFUL from the beginning of my initial inquiry to the end of Minnie’s stay. Communication was prompt and clear, she sent lots of pics and videos to show how and what Minnie was doing, and she was gracious with my old dog’s quirks. Min needed special feeding, and is very anxious in new situations so requires some patience. Carrie provided that and more, and Min settled into her home nicely. I truly appreciated and enjoyed my interactions with Carrie and her husband, and felt 100% confident leaving my pampered pet in their home during my trip. This was my first experience using Rover to find care for Min, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience!

About: Experienced with energetic and strong willed dogs. Experienced with structured care, consistent routines, and happy dogs :) Will love your pup like it’s my own Caring for pets is already a big part of my everyday life. My routine revolves around making sure my dog is walked, fed, and given plenty of attention throughout the day. Feel free to message me about availability! I typically am available whenever you need!! I have a very friendly and energetic Husky in my home who loves staying active. We go on walks around the neighborhood about every 2 hours for potty breaks, as well as mental and physical stimulation. We also occasionally enjoy car rides to the dog park for extra fun and exercise. Since my yard is unfenced, I have a secure outdoor lead available. If your dog enjoys spending time outside like mine, I’d be happy to accommodate that upon request. For safety and comfort, I also have a crate available and can crate your dog or mine as needed.
