“This was our first experience with Rover.com, and we were a little nervous about leaving our beloved senior kitty duo in the care of “strangers,” even though Alison and Robert had many exemplary reviews. Whatever hesitation we felt was immediately put to rest when we had our meet and greet. We found Alison and Robert both to be warm and caring and patient, but also incredibly professional and thorough. They asked a lot of questions (and made a lot of notes) about each kitteh’s likes, dislikes, medical and emotional needs, favorite spots and toys, etc. They didn’t blink at hand feeding our toothless Persian rescue, and even succeeded at brushing both cats regularly (a feat we are still marveling at since our efforts have always been met with swats and glares). They even gently removed a tummy mat that we’d been gingerly working on before we left. Incredible! And all of that doesn’t even include the best part of working with them, which was the comforting and informative communication we received after every visit. Each update included the basics like meal and potty status, but also humorous and endearing notes and photos that captured our babies at play and getting lots of love and individualized attention. These photos and notes enabled us to fully enjoy our time away, because we could regularly see how relaxed and happy our pets were. Bonus: many of the shots were so artistic and well done that they rivaled those of a professional photographer! In closing, I would tell anyone considering a booking with Alison and Robert that they truly understand and love animals and know how to cultivate trust. I can tell that our cats really enjoyed their time while we were away, and I bet that they wonder when they’ll get to spend time again with their new friends. Thank you, Alison and Robert. “Janyl went above and beyond to provide amazing care to my two cats while I was away for two weeks. I was nervous to leave them for this amount of time especially because one is elderly and has some health issues. Janyl immediately put me at ease during our initial meet and greet. She was very thorough, asked great questions, and was clearly very knowledgable. Janyl had great intuition when it came to the cats' temperaments. She checked in with me daily, sent lots of pictures, and gave me a detailed run down of what she and the cats did each day. She even clipped their nails during her visit and vacuumed. My home was neat and tidy when I returned from a long travel day (so nice). The cats seemed to be very comfortable with her and I was able to enjoy my time away knowing they were in such good hands. About: I've been around animals my whole life and can't imagine it any other way! I've always had cats and dogs and care for them with so much love. I grew up with corgis and have experience with dogs of all sizes and personalities. Right now, I have two cats, a long-haired dachshund, and a Jack Russel-Chihuahua mix who keep life interesting! About: Hi I’m Natalie! I love animals and have grown up caring for them my whole life. I’ve had a range of animal care experience from mice to sea turtles and everything in between. I currently have two dogs and two cats and a betta fish. I have experience with large dogs like my Saint Bernard boxer mix and small dogs like my frenchie. I’ve also had experience caring for an elderly dog the past feed years administering medication frequently and cleaning her ears. I also volunteered for three years at an animal clinic where I also interned granting me more animal care qualities! I usually let my dogs out in the mornings for breakfast and feed them and then again at night. I also have given them baths and groomed them regularly. I even have had to give my older dog medicine regularly throughout the day. I do not have a fenced in yard but I have a dog run that I will use and also have two of my own dogs to play with them.

About: Volunteering at shelters and owning an array of pets throughout my life helps me understand fully how to care for a creature. I've never turned away an animal and have worked with nursing birds, rodents, bunnies, and kittens back to health after rescuing them. I also love working with exotic pets like amphibians or reptiles, but mainly I board and walk dogs! I'm very good at reading body language and training stubborn dogs, and working with animals full time would be a dream career. Right now I'm studying premedicine / ecology at UA and taking care of animals over the summers to save money for school! Going to Albany on the 24th! Until then I can board, but afterwards I'm switching my location and removing boarding from my services as I'll be on campus. Large yard with electric fence and 2 extra collars for a medium dog. Home with 3 accessible stories, dog food, treats, litter box, toys and plenty of enrichment. Dog beds and human beds for sleeping, large safe neighborhood for walks!!

About: I have been pet sitting for many years for both long and short periods of time. I love caring for animals, and I also have a dog of my own!! I am available to pet-sit at all times; my schedule is very flexible! My routine for my own pets requires me to be up very early, so I am around early mornings all the way through the late evening. I listen very carefully to instructions when watching someone’s pet, and make sure to give them lots of care and love when I am with them!!

About: I have 6+ years of taking care of my 2 jack Russell’s, neighbors dogs + cats in 3 different states and my boyfriends parents 2 cats (1 disabled). Promptly giving medicine to those animals in need for specific time, and patience tending to their attentions and needs. I work full time remote M-Thursday 8am-4pm with an hour and half lunch break each day. I work 3x a week part time on site and can be flexible as needed. I have a high energy dog (Jack Russell) that requires a lot of assertiveness and strict use of instruction. But at the same time requires rewards and playtime. I love to care for animals, but also care about the safety of myself, and owners property always keeping that at a #1 priority of my surroundings and the pets safety and better interest of the owner.
