She paid attention to them and their moods and their manners. As a person who hadn’t really interacted with dogs in that level, she really helped me understand their needs and the expectations of us as pet owners. We have a responsibility to do for them what they can’t do for themselves and she taught me so much about that. Caring for them and literally having them become one of your best friends was by far one of the biggest imprints she left on me.
