“Deedra took excellent care of our 3 rescue cats, Dora, Peavey, and Chico. She kept their food and water refreshed and their litter boxes clean. She was only able to get glimpses of Peavey and Chico, who are each very cautious and shy but we appreciated that she tried to find them each day to make sure they were ok. Dora received daily pets and brushings plus treats and hairball medicine (which is her favorite treat!) Deedra maintained excellent communication with us throughout our 2 week vacation through texts, a couple of phone calls, and multiple pictures each day. On the first day our alarm system went off because we had forgotten to disarm it during the time of her visit. She called us right away, remained calm, and handled it very well, even able to joke about it as "testing our alarm" for us. (This was an in-home system, alerting us but not calling the police.) If you want a trustworthy, caring, and dependable pet sitter, Deedra is the one to call. She gave us very reasonable rates, too!”

About: Like most people I grew up with both cats and dogs! Later in life I got my cat, Ellen, who I had for about 4 years before she passed away from cancer. Almost 1.5 years ago my boyfriend and I adopted Icarus, a 105lb mastiff-pitbull mix. Coming from the shelter, Icarus struggles with some reactivity and we've worked with professional trainers for the last year from whom I've learned a LOT. Throughout all of these experiences I've learned how to administer oral and otic medications, handle large dogs, and am comfortable using muzzles and pinch collars. I am always down to take your best friend out for a pup cup, to the dog park, or just for a walk! I'm a student so I have a schedule that allows me to hangout with your dog or cat while you're at work. I'll be sure to send photos and videos every outing! I'm a student but I have no classes on Fridays or weekends. Depending on my school schedule, I might be able to hangout with your furry friend during the week but it would be on a case-by-case basis. My dog is more of a human lover than dog lover so I don't take any dogs into my home for daycare or overnight visits.
About: I have two beautiful rescue cats that I've raised since they were kittens, and they mean the world to me. When I first adopted my sweet girl, she had a respiratory infection and needed medication for the first several weeks. With lots of love, patience, and care, she made a full recovery and is now a happy, healthy cat. My handsome black cat, Maverick, also needed extra care when he developed a UTI. I carefully administered his medication and monitored his recovery until he was back to his healthy, playful self. Experiences like these have taught me the importance of patience, attentiveness, and understanding each pet's individual needs. Animals have always had a special place in my heart. I genuinely love caring for them and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. If I had the space, I would rescue every stray and homeless animal I came across. About: I have taken care of dogs, cats and even exotics ever since I was a child. My major in college was Biology and my first job out of college was a Zoo Keeper. I then became a dolphin trainer working and training several types of dolphins, river otters and pelicans. The past two years I have been a Vet Technician working at a large animal hospital. Animals are my passion in life so any chance I get to be around them, I will! I am currently a full time student again and also working four days a week. About: Have two dogs and know what it is like to go on vacation or even away for a day or two and wonder if our fur babies are in good hands. They are our kids/family. We all want to make sure that our kids are loved and having lots of fun when we are away. You're fur babies will be having a great time and receiving lots of attention. The dogs have their own couch, a huge fenced in back yard to run around in, and if there are not too many fur babies visiting, they will be allowed to sleep in the bed. Work from home full time. The dogs are let outside every 2 hours or as needed. Hours of pick up and drop off are 7 days a week 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (may be flexible with prearranged dropoff). I have two dogs. They both love interaction with other dogs and have a blast running around the fenced-in back yard. They get along with dogs of any size.
