House Sitting in Deers

“Tanya provided exceptional care for our cat and two dogs while staying over a long holiday weekend in our home. She asked excellent questions during our "meet and greet," so when it came time for us to leave our animals we knew they were in good hands. She arrived to house sit early afternoon on Friday and left late on Monday to accommodate our travel schedule. Our animals each have particular needs and personality quirks. For instance, we have one high energy dog that requires oral medication, frequent potty breaks, and long walks. Our other dog is content sleeping all day and needs to be convinced to take short walks! Plus, the energetic dog will eat the lazy dog's food if given the opportunity, so we feed them separately. Then, our cat is low maintenance, but still needs food, water, affection, and to have her box cleaned daily. Finally, the dogs wake up at 5am for breakfast (whether we're awake or not). Caring for the three of them is a lot of work and Tanya did a great job attending to their needs! We came home from vacation to happy, heathy pets and a clean house. We could not have asked for a better pet sitter. I highly recommend Tanya and would absolutely employ her services again.”

“Madeline was excellent. This was our first time getting a dog sitter. We have had experience with boarders for our previous dog and we didn’t like it so we went with a dog sitter this time! Zara was much more comfortable being home and she loved Madeline! We made sure they met a few times before our trip which Madeline was happy to do. She was very communicative, sent a lot of photos, and even took out our garbage while we were away. She made our trip even more relaxing by giving us the peace of mind about Zara! About: I am a 5 year experienced veterinary technician who has worked primarily with small animals in multiple practices across the United States. I am currently enrolled in veterinary medical school pursuing my doctorate at UIUC in their college of veterinary medicine. In addition, I am a life-long pet owner myself! I grew up with dogs in a variety of sizes, as well as cats. As a veterinary student, I have classes in the morning and sometimes afternoon. This should not be a concern as I still have plenty of time to watch pets! We have multiple breaks through the day and I own a car. Classes never extend past 4:00 pm. So, I can travel to your pet and am fully open in evenings for long walks! I care for pets in the owners home! As a veterinary student, I am living in an apartment which is not always the appropriate place for watching certain large-sized dogs. I also have a cat of my own who is terrified of dogs!

I follow any routine you provide, including feeding, walks, playtime, training, and medications. I understand that routines are important as it comes to making them feel safe and a constant when you are away! (My dog bailey has a strict routine so I get this!) When it comes to your home, I treat it with complete respect and care! Keeping things the same as it was left, secure, and following any house rules you share. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel totally at ease while you're away and stress free!
