“Phenomenal and absolutely caring. My cat looovvved Terri. Terri's care and communication made me feel completely at ease. Her passion for animals goes way beyond. Would absolutely hire again.”

About: I've been a pet/house sitter for about 10 years, I started when I was a teenager helping my family friends and neighbors to now as an adult. I've grown up my whole life surrounded by animals and I couldn't imagine it any other way. Love connecting with the pets and fellow animal lovers! I do my sitting job full time so I'm available for more attentive care and easy contacting. I do house sit as well if you'd like me to stay with your pet overnight for a peace of mind and comfort of the animals. I don't like to overlap my jobs so that I can give each person and their pets my full attention and presence. I'm always very aware of animals boundaries and environment, wheather that is separate feeding or toy aggression. Taking any necessary walks or have play time to keep their energy and spirits up. Also, I always try to keep everything as you left it. I always clean up after myself and the animals if needed, I'm consistent with any schedule given, and I also give frequent updates including pictures of your pets so you know they're doing good!
“She’s the best! She took care of my princess so well, we couldn’t find anybody else to trust our puppy, she kept me updated all the time and my baby dog felt so comfortable with her. Definitely we will call her every time we need someone to pamper our princess!! 🥰🌟🙏”

“Kylee did a great job watching our 3 cats while we were away. She sent us pictures and kept us posted daily, which for me is a big deal. We feel relieved to have found someone like Kylee to care for our animals and will definitely hire her again.”

“This was our first experience using Rover.com, and we couldn't have been happier! Our sitter, Elaine, is terrific! Not only did she capture amazing pictures of our two Bengal cats, she even managed to win over Shiloh, who normally runs and hides under the bed whenever a stranger comes into our home. My husband and I could hardly believe our eyes when we watched the video of Shiloh letting Elaine pet her. It was nice, too, to come home to a clean and tidy area where the food dishes are as our cats always like dropping their food on the floor before eating. I highly recommend Elaine.”

About: I’ve grown up taking care of dogs, fish, and especially cats! I have training from the SPCA on dog walking, cat care, and some skill/behavioral training for both cats and dogs. I have 3 years of fish keeping experience. I currently have my own cat (he’s orange!) and I am fostering a mother and her kitten for the time being. I am willing to help clean around the house as well! I have indoor/outdoor plants and I can take care of your plants while you are away - I have a green thumb :) I’ve helped friends and clients with farm animals, including feeding and cleaning their spaces. If directed I can help with other farm projects. I have a pretty busy schedule, but can set aside time on my busy days for drop-ins. I am free to stay at the house with your pet on my off days! To paint a better picture for you of what my availability looks like, my schedule alternates between busy and free days every other day. So if you need 24/7 in-home pet care I am not your best fit, but you can still ask if you’d like! I might be able to work something out for you :) Thank you for your consideration! I offer dog walking, in-home pet sitting, and I can do small cleaning projects for a minimal extra charge. I am gentle with the animals and can do grooming such as brushing and can try nail clipping if your pets allow it!
“Ruth is always great. Last minute request for her to check on my kids on Halloween and she was great and accommodating and my girls are alive and well so we are happy! Thanks Ruth!”
“I can’t say enough about Lainey and her care of our pets June 3rd -19th. She is a very responsible, kind and diligent. Lainey understood how important this was for us, and she clearly cares very much for the animals in her care. Communication was fantastic right from the start and throughout our trip. Lainey went above and beyond our expectations. and we would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone who is looking for someone trustworthy to treat your pets as family. Thank you Lainey!”
“Cole has been amazing! He offered a meet and greet beforehand to get to know the cats, and he was very thorough in taking care of them. We will definitely be asking for his help in the future! We knew our cats were in good hands with him.”

About: Hi, I’m Rosa Greco – and I’m so excited to be starting this journey on Rover! I recently lost my beloved 14-year-old American Bulldog in February. While I’m not quite ready to welcome a new pup of my own, I truly miss the love and companionship of animals. Rover gives me the perfect opportunity to share my time and care with dogs and cats—and get my doggie fix in a meaningful way. Whether you need someone to take your pup for a walk, drop in for a cuddle and some playtime, or care for your kitty while you’re away, I’d be honored to help. I understand how important your pets are, and I’ll treat them with the same love and attention I gave my own. I’d love the chance to meet your furry friend—let’s connect! ⸻ Let me know if you’d like to tailor this for a specific Rover service (boarding, walking, drop-in visits, etc.). Happy to help! I am currently retired and have a lot of time to offer. I love animals, especially dogs, and am excited to take care of yours! I took care of my own dog and have trained every dog I’ve had. They have always been great dogs and very well trained. I love animals and would love to take care of your fur baby

About: I have been around dogs for as long as I can remember! My family has had many pets through the years, family dogs that we’ve cared for into old age, and dogs we have helped rehome! I have experience with many different breeds, including jack russell terriers, pitbulls, border collies, and many more. I love all animals and being around a new pet is so exciting for me. I promise to give your pet special attention and make sure they are happy and comfortable. I am currently in a dental assisting program, so I will be unavailable mondays and tuesdays. Any other day I will have full availability for your pet! I will make sure your pet gets lots of potty breaks if needed, or make sure their enclosure/litter box is fresh and clean! I’m very punctual when it comes to feeding and kind of OCD about having clean water available. I always want your pet to feel comfortable and safe.
“Ian did a great job looking after my kitties! They have very distinct personalities and I feel like he understood each of them. I really appreciated how he took the time to play with them and gave them attention :)”

About: I've had a love and passion for animals since I was a child. I adopted my first pet in 2014. A beautiful female Queensland Heeler and American Pitbull mix named Sadie. She has been my service animal for over 5 years. I began my pet care career as a pet shelter assistant. A few years later, I became a Grooming Salon Assistant and have been grooming every since. I have knowledge of most breeds and am comfortable working with any sized dog, any temperament. I have also worked as a Kennel Assistant in a Veterinary office. I learned the in and outs of boarding, administering medications, and making sure all pets get adequate care. I'm looking forward to meeting you and your pet(s)! I'm currently working part time but need extra money as I don't have enough hours. I have a fairly flexible schedule and can work out overnight stays. While caring for pets, I greet them and make sure they're comfortable with me. I like to offer treats and take the time to have them trust in me. I ensure all food bowls and water bowls are filled. I take them out for potty and walks every 2-4 hours. I ensure they get adequate play time, whether inside or outside. Give them lots of love and attention ☺️ All while abiding by your care rules, ie training, medications, etc.
About: I've grown up with dogs and cats. Animals seem to gravitate to me. I can also help with training issues, as I've been around animals my whole life. I have my own dog, who loves everyone, the dog park, swimming and playing ball. I am available anytime during the day from 9-6, although very flexible and could start and end according to the needs. I am very responsible and reliable. safety of course is number one priority. I can house sit and play or just hang out if needed. My dog is rarely left home alone. He loves the car so I take him with me when I can..

About: Your pup will love the fact that he/she can run and play and get one on one attention. I love to take care of pets and know just how to make your pets day fun and stimulating so when they come home they can be the warm fuzzy friend you love! I am a stay at home mom so I have open availability. Did I mention I take hikes?!? Yep that's right folks...a dog sitter that will actually take your fur baby on an adventure when you're at work! I personally have been training pups since I was 15 years old, so that will be a part of the daily activities. If your fur baby has special needs that is fine too! My mom and I have been involved with Muttville for years! Pittbull and other (“aggressive”) breeds 110% welcome!! I use that term EXTREMELY LOOSELY! I will host any breed of dog, I do not believe it is the dogs breeding that causes aggression or biting. Most times it is just inexperience on the humans part or fear on the dogs part. Feel confident bringing your pup to stay with me, I monitor all activity and continue to reinforce your training expectations while you’re away.
About: What sets me apart is the care, patience, and attention I give every pet as if they were my own. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality, routine, and individual needs so they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’m happy caring for playful puppies, energetic dogs, and senior pets who may need extra patience and attention. I can help maintain feeding and medication routines, reinforce basic training, provide plenty of exercise and playtime, and give senior pets the calm, gentle care they deserve. My goal is simple: happy pets, peace of mind for you, and a sitter you can trust. I have an open schedule so I have enough time to tend to your pup. I can house sit all the time to walk them as needed First thing I do before and while they go out side I will observe all there escape routes and Make sure that everything is closed and secure
About: Hi there! 🐾 I genuinely love animals! I've spent the past 5 years caring for cats and dogs, including my own pets. I'm comfortable with all kinds of personalities, including shy, energetic, anxious, and reactive pets. I understand that every animal is different, and I'm happy to be patient and let them warm up to me at their own pace. Whether your pet loves going on walks, playing, cuddling, or just having someone nearby, I'm happy to give them the attention and care they need! I know how important it is to trust someone with your pets and your home. I'm big on communication and will gladly send pictures and updates throughout our time together so you know your furry family member is doing well. I'm also comfortable with house sitting, following detailed instructions, and respecting your home and your pet's normal routine. I don't mind cameras in shared spaces, and I want you to feel completely at ease while you're away. My goal is simple: happy pets and peace of mind for you! 🐶🐱🧡 I'm available on both weekdays and weekends! 🐾 I do have a full-time job, but I have flexibility with my schedule and can make adjustments ahead of confirmed bookings. I primarily offer house sitting and dog walking. For overnight stays, I'm happy to stay in a guest room if one is available! Since I live in Orangevale, I'm also open to arranging visits throughout the day and returning to my own home at night, depending on your pet's needs. I'm always happy to talk through expectations and schedules before confirming a booking to make sure we're a great fit! I love keeping pets happy, active, and mentally stimulated! 🐾 For dogs, a typical day might include walks around the neighborhood, playtime with their favorite toys, and plenty of attention and cuddles. If they're comfortable in public spaces and their owner approves, I'm happy to take them to a nearby park for some extra outdoor time! For cats, I love interactive playtime with their favorite toys, giving them pets when they're in the mood, or simply hanging out and keeping them company. I always adjust activities based on each pet's energy level, personality, and routine. Whether they're full of energy or prefer a relaxing day, I'm happy to match their vibe!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of November 2026, there are 2,609 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Deer Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
