“She was a great person to come see my cats. I'd call myself and pets on the higher maintenance type of situation and she was able to hand it all like a champ. She had to medicate 2 of them and was successful, spending how ever much time she needed to get them to take their meds. Very communicative and able to follow directions!”

“We haven't used a pet service before, so my expectations were mixed. Other people who accepted the job canceled at the last minute, and I reached out to Mandy. She was kind, professional and my animals took to her quickly. We have an elderly dog who got himself in a jam going down into our basement without the ability to get back up. Mandy CARRIED him--a 55lb save of potatoes--up the stairs! When I say I would recommend her to everyone, I mean it. She was a lovely person and even left treats for the pups AND the humans. 15/10 so many 🌟”

“Izzy was so nice and took my booking at the last minute which I so appreciated! My mom met with her since I left before she could meet up, and also had nothing but good things to say. She came around the same time every day, took pictures of my cat for me (there is separation anxiety but it's not my cat), and gave her some pets as well as medication. My cat is usually very nervous and doesn't come out for just anyone, but she came out for Izzy. She also checked on my fish when we needed to determine if the water was low. Thank you, Izzy! I'll be booking again!”

“***** I recently had the pleasure of having Parker step in as a substitute dog sitter, and I must say I am absolutely delighted with her service. While my regular dog sitter was unavailable, Parker seamlessly filled the role and provided exceptional care for my furry friend. From the very beginning, Parker exhibited a high level of professionalism and a true passion for dogs. Her friendly and accommodating demeanor immediately put me at ease, and I felt confident in entrusting my beloved pet to her care. Throughout her time with my dog, Parker provided regular check-ins, complete with adorable pictures and updates. It was evident that she not only cared for my dog's physical well-being but also their emotional happiness. Furthermore, Parker's punctuality and reliability were impeccable. She consistently arrived at the scheduled times and made sure that my dog's feeding and playtime adhered to our usual routine. In summary, Parker, as a substitute dog sitter on Rover, went above and beyond my expectations. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine love for animals were truly impressive. My dog not only received excellent care but also clearly enjoyed her time with Parker. I wholeheartedly recommend Parker to anyone in need of a responsible and loving dog sitter. I am grateful for her outstanding service and will undoubtedly reach out to her again in the future.”

About: I have had a dog all my life. Growing up we had Boxers. In my adult married life we have had Labrador Retrievers . These dogs have not been dogs but fur kids. I have taken them to obedience classes so I have experience in commands and working with them. I believe that fur kids need plenty of exercise on and off leashes. Dog parks are a good way to socialize them and get in exercise. In the home mind games are fun too. Sniffing out a treat to playing with toys on the floor with them. I love taking pictures and document what we do. You will know what your fur child is doing. I am currently working for home during the week day so being with them during the day works. I am able to take breaks and go on short walks. Play with them in our fenced in yard. I plan on retirement in May so I will be available 24/7, 365 days a year. I am willing to come into your home if you would feel more comfortable. If they come to my home we have a fenced in yard and will be able to play with our 2 fur boys. One is an 8 year old chocolate Labrador and the other is a 5 year old German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees. Both have had other dogs come into the home and stayed with us. They love having visitors. In your home I will attend to their needs as you have outlined.

“Susan has been providing daily drop-in visits since 1/2019. She keeps my 75lb pit/lab active with outdoor play. Susan is loving, loyal & patient. The pics provided with the Rover Card are awesome! I'm thankful to have found Susan.”

About: I've always been the family member my family could call on to take care of their dogs when they were out. I've walked/been walked by an energetic husky, I've looked after a blind/deaf elderly shih tzu, I've spent hours playing with a cuddly golden retriever, and now I want to help take care of your pets. My schedule is fairly free for weekday/weekend care, earlier in the morning would work better for me but if you need me to come over at the evening/night time, I'd be more than happy to do so. My drop-ins involve a quick to-do list to take care of the basics (any food bowl, water, or potty attention), followed by playtime until I can ensure your pet is happy and satisfied. If you'd like me to have some photos of your pet whether I'm doing in home care or taking them for a walk, let me know and if there's an opening, I'll gladly snap a few photos for you on my phone!

“Katherine was super nice and a great cat sitter! She took lots of pictures of my kittens for me and even swept up cat litter when my cats made a bit of a mess. Would definitely rebook with her!”

“Emily did great with my Ozzie, he really enjoyed her visits and I could tell by the photos and videos she sent me every visit. I was very anxious leaving him alone for the first time by himself and once I got home it felt like I never left, he was very well taken care of and seemed happy. Thank you Emily!”

About: I have been dog training for 12 years. I have trained a variety of dogs. I spent 10 years training with 4-H. I trained one of my dogs to be a therapy dogs for others and another one for Search and Rescue. I have experience working with cats and dogs. I used to pet sit for several people. For three years I worked at Canine Country Club, a facility that boards cats and dogs. I’m currently on summer break! This fall I start my internship as a mental health counselor which is only 2 days a week. I am available most days and nights! For my clients and my household I take care of dogs by feeding, letting them outside, going for walks, basic grooming including brushing, training. I train obedience, rally, and agility.

About: What sets me apart is the genuine love and attention I give every dog like they’re my own. I have experience caring for puppies, high-energy breeds, and senior dogs who need a little extra patience and support. Whether it’s training a new pup or giving meds to an older dog, I make sure each pet gets personalized, safe, and loving care. My home is a calm, dog-friendly space, and I’m all about keeping tails wagging and owners worry-free! Ive grown up with pets and they were a big part of my daily life. Feeding, walking, grooming, and just spending time with them were all built into my routine. It taught me responsibility from a young age, and I really enjoyed the companionship. I definitely look forward to having pets again in the future when the timing is right. "When I cared for pets at home growing up—and when helping friends or neighbors—I always made sure their basic needs were met first: feeding, fresh water, regular potty breaks, and exercise. I paid close attention to their routines and any specific instructions, especially when helping in someone else's home. I understand how important it is to keep pets comfortable, safe, and loved, whether that’s sticking to their walk schedule, administering medication if needed, or just giving them plenty of playtime and affection. Cleanliness and communication are also big priorities for me when caring for pets in someone else's space.

About: I’ve had pets my whole life and started helping with their care at age 10. Though the last 12 years have truly deepened my experience and love for animal care. Currently, I share my home with four cats and a German Shepherd/Husky puppy! Over the years, I’ve had the honor of caring for pets with special needs, both my own and those of friends and loved ones. My puppy and I have completed two 6-week training courses with Canine Initiative – and yes, we still practice those skills daily (with varying levels of success depending on how many squirrels we’ve seen that day). One of my most meaningful experiences was caring for my border collie, Nina, after a serious injury. She needed help walking with a harness, regular cleaning, medications, vet visits, and lots of love. After 2.5 months of dedicated care, she was back on her feet, and we were lucky to share two more wonderful years together. I also cared for her through a late-in-life diabetes diagnosis, which included daily insulin and increased mobility support. I’ve administered medications to dogs including insulin, ear drops, and oral meds, and I’m especially mindful about keeping pets calm and comfortable during care routines. I’m always happy to learn your exact process — whether through an in-person tutorial or a video — to keep your dog’s stress to a minimum. I’m open to caring for dogs with medical or physical needs, with the understanding that for mobility support using a harness, I’m most experienced with dogs 45 lbs. or less. That said, I’m absolutely comfortable walking and caring for dogs over 50 lbs. as long as they are well-mannered on a leash. While I may not be the strongest person physically, I’m confident with larger dogs who don’t pull or lunge too much. If your pup is a gentle giant, we’ll get along just fine on walks! My youngest (age 12) and I work great together playing and giving positive attention to dogs. She has attended most of the dog training classes with me and shown an interest in attending more. If you would prefer myself only, I completely understand! Should your animal need urgent care and I am able to take them to the vet, we are very familiar and close with Morton Animal Hospital and Banfield Pet Hospital. I cannot recommend them enough! If more assistance is needed than the general care/dog walking, I will adjust the rate and will be happy to discuss this with you. Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions! I am currently off for the summer and will have various appointments and activities to do with my children and animals. I am able to adjust my schedule at this time but will let you know if I have anything scheduled during the days needed. I understand sometimes extra or unexpected trips are needed to check on your pet. At this time, I am off for the summer and am able to provide care throughout the day for my own pets. Depending on your dogs activity level, I would prefer to care for your dog at your home due to my dogs young and energetic puppy self, as well as my four indoor cats. Should it work out with bringing your dog to my home and remaining outside with me, I do live on a busy street in town and do experience unsafe, fast driving cars at times (Idlewood). With that said, our yard is completely fenced in, though our back and front fence is 5 ft. in height. Larger, escape artist dogs may have the ability to hop the fence and if that is a concern, I would rather not risk bringing your dog to my home.

“Julie helped us out so much when we needed a last minute sitter for our dog. She kept us very informed and sent us lots of pictures! She even bought our dog treats! HIGHLY recommend and will definitely use her again in the future. Thank you so much!”

I’ve had cats and dogs in my home since 2014, and I am very comfortable around both. I currently have a full time job; I work primarily in the mornings with evening shifts thrown in here and there. I don’t do much outside of that, so I am pretty available otherwise. I want to keep all pets feeling comfortable, following their routines/schedule, and keeping them company (within their boundaries). I no longer live with my cats and miss them greatly, so I will make sure they receive extra attention, pets, and playtime (within their boundaries).

About: Hi, my name is Justine! I have grown up with dogs and have a lot of experience house sitting, walking and caring for dogs of all sizes. I have experience house-sitting for puppies through senior dogs. I have grown up with dogs in my home from a very young age. I understand the anxiety of having to leave your pet for too long or not wanting to board them, so I enjoy helping people not have to worry about that. Let me know how I can help! I currently work-time. I have a hybrid schedule, so I work from home 2 days a week and in office the other 3. I am available mornings, nights, and mid-day when I am working from home. I prefer to watch dogs in their own home setting. This allows them to remain comfortable and not be stressed by a new environment. This way they can also remain as close to their usual schedules as possible.

“Michelle & Caleb did an awesome job. This is the first time my pups have had someone come let them out while we were gone. One of my dogs had an accident as she is anxious sometimes with new people but they cleaned up the mess and took very good care of my four legged kids.”

“Justine will love your furry friend like he or she is her own! Our pup absolutely adores Justine, and I know, without doubt, that she is in great hands when under Justine's watch. Justine has stayed with our dog numerous times over the last 5 years. We couldn't be more at ease and comfortable with her as our dog sitter -- I never worry if she is getting fed at the right times, played with and walked enough, and certainly cuddled and loved under Justine's care.
