Every morning starts with feeding my dog and taking him for a quick walk to get some energy out before the day begins. On weekends, I make time for grooming like brushing his fur or giving him a bath if needed and sometimes schedule vet checkups or pick up new toys or treats. It’s a routine that keeps me grounded, and it’s always nice to end the day with a loyal companion by my side. When caring for pets in either my home or a client’s home, I focus on creating a safe, comfortable, and consistent environment. For dogs, I ensure they have regular feeding times, fresh water, daily walks, and playtime to keep them mentally and physically stimulated. I also follow any specific instructions the client provides, such as administering medications or adhering to training routines. If I’m in a client’s home, I respect their space and maintain the pet’s regular schedule to reduce stress from their owner's absence. I clean up after the pet, monitor behavior for signs of illness or anxiety, and send updates (with photos) to the owner for peace of mind. Whether it’s overnight care, walking, or short visits, my goal is to make each pet feel safe and loved while their owner is away.
