About: Hello everyone! My name is Shelly, and I’m excited to care for and work with your beloved pets. I grew up on a dairy farm, where caring for animals wasn’t just a chore—it was a way of life. From milking cows to raising chickens and pigs, and always having a dog and numerous cats around, animals were at the heart of my daily routine. Those early experiences taught me responsibility, consistency, and the importance of attentive, compassionate care. Today, my husband and I run a small hobby farm of our own, where we care for horses, chickens, our beloved dog Luna, and many kitties. Animal care continues to be a central part of my life and is something I truly enjoy. I have also completed additional training and worked extensively with my own horses and dogs. Having been around animals my entire life, I have experience providing a wide range of care, including assisting with livestock deliveries (calves and swine), administering medications, and caring for animals with medical needs, including those associated with aging. I also frequently care for the pets and farm animals of friends and neighbors. I can't help but develop a special bond with each animal I care for. Working with animals is one of my deepest passions. I love to travel and explore the world whenever I can. Through my own experiences, I’ve learned how challenging it can be to find someone who is not only trustworthy, but also experienced and comfortable caring for both household pets and larger farm animals. Having peace of mind while you’re away is invaluable. My goal is simple: to give you the confidence to travel, work, or attend life’s events without worry, knowing your animals are safe, well cared for, and treated like family. Currently, I am home full-time and available 24/7 from June through August, which allows for a very flexible schedule. I return to my full-time position during the last week of August. At that time, my availability will vary, with weekends generally offering the most flexibility. From September through June, my regular work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. I am committed to working with pet owners to accommodate their needs as best as possible and will do my utmost to ensure your pets receive the care, attention, and consistency they deserve. My pets are part of my family, and I provide them with the highest level of care, love, and attention possible. Their well-being is one of my top priorities. When caring for someone else's pets, I treat them as if they were my own because I understand how much our animals mean to us. I also recognize how important we are to our pets and that being separated from their owners can sometimes be stressful for them. My goal is to provide the comfort, care, and attention they need while maintaining their normal routines as closely as possible. I make every effort to follow all instructions and preferences provided by pet owners to ensure their pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for while they are away.
About: I have been an animal lover my entire life! I treat my cats like they are my children and I would do anything for them! I would take care of your fur babies as if they were my own! I also love dogs, I've had many dogs in my family growing up. I don't have the living space needed for a dog while living in an apartment. I would definitely have one if I were able! That's a big reason why you should let me pet sit for you! My availability is pretty open right now. I want to do a little something on the side besides other projects that I'm working on. They say that if you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life! Pets definitely make me the happiest!! I like to keep the living space clean and sanitized, I clean litter boxes every day. I pick up poop while on dog walks. Also, while dog walking, if there's another dog near and the you're dog seems uncomfortable or threatened, I would move to the other side of the street or walk the other way to remove ourselves from the situation. Most animals, if not all, trust and love me back!

About: My love of animals started at a very young age. I grew up on a farm with many dogs, cats, and horses. I look forward to caring for your fur babies as if they were my own. I know it can be difficult to leave them, but know they are in excellent hands. I work as a nurse so I do have some extra time off during the week/weekends. I am mostly available early mornings or the late afternoons/evenings. On my days off, I can be flexible! I am here to accommodate yours and your fur baby’s needs! I will provide a fun, yet safe environment both on and off leash. I would want the best care for my pet as well.

About: I’ve grown up with pets my entire life and have always been a natural animal lover — animals tend to love me just as much as I love them. I currently have a few cats and live with my best friend, who has a dog of her own that I help care for regularly (she’s basically mine too!). I also have hands-on experience working with dogs from spending a couple of years at a doggy daycare, where I learned how to care for dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I’m currently a server, and with it being the slow season right now, my availability is very flexible and open for most days and times. I love caring for pets in their own homes, where they feel safe and comfortable. I follow all routines, feeding schedules, and special instructions so your pet gets consistent care and plenty of attention. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just snuggles, I make sure your pet feels happy, loved, and well looked-after while you’re away.
About: I love working with dogs. I have sat for a wide range of dogs sizing from a brussels griffen (14-15 lbs) to southern bloodhounds and black labs. Have given basic medication (a probiotic for the southern bloodhound), fed and walked dogs. I have also walked both together, so I am not against having 2 dogs at once. I have also used a couple different forms of restraints, such as gentle leaders, normal neck collars and shock collars while on walks to keep dogs under control as per owners instructions. One of the dogs I sit on a regular basis is an aging almost 10 year old southern bloodhound. I also have taken care of a shiba inu at weeks at a time, giving her longer 3-4 mile walks. My availability tends to lie in afternoons, evenings and some weekend availability as I have a 40 hour a week job. Generally what dog owners will like about my care is when I am given specific instruction, I will follow their instruction word for word, to keep their dog happy and healthy.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
