From milking cows to raising chickens and pigs, and always having a dog and numerous cats around, animals were at the heart of my daily routine. Today, my husband and I run a small hobby farm of our own, where we care for horses, chickens, our beloved dog Luna, and many kitties. About: I’ve always had a love for animals, so much so that I turned it into a career. I’ve been a vet tech for about 15 years and have been caring for animals the majority of my life. I can administer medications if your pet has been prescribed any. And if anything seems out of the ordinary I will notify you right away. The care and wellbeing of your pet is my priority. I am currently working full time during the week with every other Friday off. The weekends, and every other Friday I am at home and we can arrange a time for pick up and drop off that works for you. When playing outside your pet will we supervised closely and will not be left outside alone. We do have a fence on the back side of our yard. And we live in a cul-de-sac, so no need to worry about being on a busy road.

About: I love working with dogs. I have sat for a wide range of dogs sizing from a brussels griffen (14-15 lbs) to southern bloodhounds and black labs. Have given basic medication (a probiotic for the southern bloodhound), fed and walked dogs. I have also walked both together, so I am not against having 2 dogs at once. I have also used a couple different forms of restraints, such as gentle leaders, normal neck collars and shock collars while on walks to keep dogs under control as per owners instructions. One of the dogs I sit on a regular basis is an aging almost 10 year old southern bloodhound. I also have taken care of a shiba inu at weeks at a time, giving her longer 3-4 mile walks. My availability tends to lie in afternoons, evenings and some weekend availability as I have a 40 hour a week job. Generally what dog owners will like about my care is when I am given specific instruction, I will follow their instruction word for word, to keep their dog happy and healthy.

About: I have fostered both dogs and cats in the past. From childhood to the present day, a home is not complete without some form of animal companion. I tend to be an early riser and am very flexible. Cleaning up after myself as well as your pets is my specialty. I enjoy camping and antiquing when there’s no critters to hang out with. I am familiar with many types of leash and collar. I prefer to keep a dog heeled on most of the walk, letting them run and play when it’s appropriate to do so. If you have a preferred method of control I’m happy to accommodate. I’m comfortable giving meds and have experience with all kinds of feeding. When sitting, I’d love to water your plants and get the mail-any little extras that you need. I often take my dad shopping or to doctor’s appointments, and set my own schedule with my other jobs. How long your pets can be left alone (if at all) is up to you! I’m great at following orders, especially written instructions; please tell me how you usually handle your pets so I can keep it consistent for them! I like to go for walks, and like it even more if I have company. I also always enjoy a good snuggle.

About: I’ve been working on the farm since I was able to walk. I’ve worked with numerous animals from dogs to cats to even donkeys and llamas. About: Dogs have been my passion since my earliest memories. When I was a young girl, I was always training my family and friends dogs. I also would take care of my friends dogs when needed. I started to get involved with dog sports around the age of 12. In addition to this, I trained my dog to be a therapy dog. When I was 16 I started to volunteer at the Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley for a few years before going to college. I graduated from the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities with a degree in Communications and a minor in Leadership. About: Oh my gosh, where to even begin... :) I started and built, Girl Meets Dog Pet Care Services - Chicago, from 2000, through 2018 (I’m relatively new to doing this in the Rover route, so most of my reviews are posted on other sites), when I became too ill with Lyme Disease, and needed to move back to my hometown to be closer to my family until I became well enough to get back on my feet. Now, I have little home in Spicer, MN, with a big deck and a fenced in yard. I work from home (fashion reseller) so it's me and my big sweet Ni'ta Girl, a 9 year old 100 lbs. of Great Pyrenees sweetness), little Henry (dog loving little 4 year old Bichon-Shih Tzu), hanging around here all the time, so we've decided it's time some other sweet kids get to come soak up this perfect dog loving life with us! I so miss having a house filled with 'nieces and nephews' for me to dote on and spoil rotten, so, if your kid deserves to be treated like like true children (or even better than that, in my book ;)), then this is where they belong. I had clients that called it 'going to camp' when they were coming to stay with us (it's just me, and my fur kids here. Note: due to Nita’s senior age, we don’t take any ‘high energy’ doggos at this time, but all others are welcome!). Since I work from home, I am home with my dogs and kitty 95% of the time, so I am able to provide all the love and company to visitor kids they could possibly want. I do daily walks and have a fenced in yard. They own the place. I just live here and dote on them, basically. :) I am almost always here (at most I'm gone for a 4 hour stretch 2-3 times a week).

About: I have 4 playful dogs of my own (and sometimes a foster dog!), worked at a boarding facility a good chunk of my working career. Nice fenced in yard in a quiet neighborhood. I currently not taking in-house boarding due to having a foster dog at the moment, can do doggy daycare. * due to having 4 dogs of my own; I do NOT take non-social dogs. About: I've taken care of all types of pets from a very young age. Whether it be a tiny chihuahua to a sizeable Bullmastiff, a cat, birds including chickens, reptiles, fish, even small furry friends like rabbits or ferrets. I have adored and been fascinated by animals my whole life and am up for any challenge you throw at me. I've personally trained my dog to follow voiceless hand signal commands and he is also special needs, so caring for a senior or special needs animal is a breeze for me! I've even provided end of life care for my grandmother's cat, which included administering fluids via injection, so don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it. Not to mention that I have experience raising young kittens and squirrels at milk drinking ages! I am available from 7am to 5pm Monday through Friday and overnights on Fridays and Saturdays. I could possibly do extended overnight stays in my own home if your pet is dog, cat, and young child friendly. Whether it be for a walk, potty break, comfort while you're away, socializing and training your puppy basic commands (and maybe a few tricks), or even just taking your furry friend out for a pup cup and to a sniff spot, I'm the gal for you. I will even provide litter or doggy doo doo cleanup for an additional price. Your pet will always be safe and loved in my hands. I am currently in between jobs, and my kiddos go to daycare from 7am-5pm M-F, so I am available to help between those times, or overnights at your house on Fridays and Saturdays. I could be purr-suaded to do extended overnight stays at my house if your feline is cat, dog, and young child friendly. If I am caring in my home, I have 3 cats-all fixed- a special needs male dog who is NOT fixed due to medical reasons, and two kids under the age of 5. If you choose to keep your pet at my home, they need to be able to get along with them or be kept in a separate room. If you have a female dog, they would need to be fixed with proof of spay. My special needs dog has no business procreating! I have a large home and a decent sized yard with a tie-out cable so that your pet can explore my whole backyard safely without fear of taking off. I also have a screened in porch that I often let the cats roam in during the nicer months. I have a Honda CR-V, so I can keep decently large dogs in the car as well for transport or in case of emergency. If I am caring for your pet in your home, I will cuddle, play, exercise, and feed & water them to their hearts content. I will ask however for an extra fee to pick up any dog poo or clean litter boxes.

About: I grew up with six dogs and a great love for animals. I’ve worked as a kennel technicians multiple years and have worked at many horse barns. I helped train puppies for Southeastern Guide dogs, based in Florida. I have volunteered with my dog at retirement homes. I’ve taken care of others’ dogs, cats and horses for seven years. I’ve cared for many of my own animals (dogs, cats, horses, small animals, reptiles). I recently graduated college and am looking to continue getting my animal fix! I am a full-time college student at NDSU. In the summer, I work 40 hour weeks. I will have to be gone for about 8 hours at a time. I am clean and respectful of everyone’s home. About: I can provide a safe quiet home for your pet to visit when you’re away. I work from home and spend the days with our almost 8 year old boxer mix, Aggie. We love taking walks to the park near our home and we have a small fenced in back yard with a privacy fence. Aggie gets along with almost every dog and will sometimes play. She can be pretty vocal when she plays but is otherwise super quiet. She’s a great role model for younger dogs :) I work from home so I am usually home with the pets for most of the day. We take daily walks when the weather is good. We have a large dog crate if your dog needs. Our yard is fenced in and dogs wouldn’t usually be home alone for more than a few hours.

About: I love working with dogs. I have sat for a wide range of dogs sizing from a brussels griffen (14-15 lbs) to southern bloodhounds and black labs. Have given basic medication (a probiotic for the southern bloodhound), fed and walked dogs. I have also walked both together, so I am not against having 2 dogs at once. I have also used a couple different forms of restraints, such as gentle leaders, normal neck collars and shock collars while on walks to keep dogs under control as per owners instructions. One of the dogs I sit on a regular basis is an aging almost 10 year old southern bloodhound. I also have taken care of a shiba inu at weeks at a time, giving her longer 3-4 mile walks. My availability tends to lie in afternoons, evenings and some weekend availability as I have a 40 hour a week job. Generally what dog owners will like about my care is when I am given specific instruction, I will follow their instruction word for word, to keep their dog happy and healthy.

My partner Andrew and I share a true love of animals, as well as traveling, and over the past 11 years we have offered our services as pet sitters and care-givers as a way to pursue 2 passions at once! About: I’ve always had a love for animals, so much so that I turned it into a career. I’ve been a vet tech for about 15 years and have been caring for animals the majority of my life. I can administer medications if your pet has been prescribed any. And if anything seems out of the ordinary I will notify you right away. The care and wellbeing of your pet is my priority. I am currently working full time during the week with every other Friday off. The weekends, and every other Friday I am at home and we can arrange a time for pick up and drop off that works for you. When playing outside your pet will we supervised closely and will not be left outside alone. We do have a fence on the back side of our yard. And we live in a cul-de-sac, so no need to worry about being on a busy road.
