About: Hi, I’m Shyann and I’ve had pets as long as I could remember. Currently a cat owner! I will make sure your pet will feel comfortable, safe and cared for! I was a dog walker at a local shelter and have had multiple dogs of different breeds as well as taken care of family’s Great Dane/Irish wolf hounds! No dog is too big or small! Only accepting Spayed/ neutered pets! All pet ages welcome :) My schedule is pretty flexible as I work part time from home so I have plenty of time to care for your Furry family! <3 For dogs I love giving them plenty of walks and playing them a much as they desire, feeding them yummy treats and feeding them as needed! For cats I will scoop litter, they can get a bunch of play time with me, yummy treats and feed them!

About: I've worked in the veterinary field for 3 years now, working my way up from kennel technician to assistant, and currently I'm in school to become a registered veterinary technician. I've worked with dogs and cats of all ages and temperaments and am able to give medications if needed. Making pets and their people happy are what I do. I'd love the chance to be able to help you too! I'm currently working full time at a veterinary hospital in Leonardtown, MD. I typically have 2-3 days off throughout the week and can usually make early morning & later evening visits work when I am scheduled to work. Days vary, but I want to help where I can For dogs, I ensure proper fitting collars and leashes while on walks or playing outside, and I know how to get rid of some of their excess energy. For cats, I do 20 minutes of play and snuggle time (if they allow it). I will always ask about vaccination status, medical conditions, their established veterinary hospital they attend, and any quirks I should know about your furry friend.
“Stephanie was wonderful with our 17 yr old Yorkie . She came over to our house and met Maggie before we went on vacation. She sent us lots of pictures and was punctual for all visits. She administered medication once a day for us too! We would highly recommend her and will definitely use her pet services again!”

About: Several years of experience in veterinary care, behavioral knowledge, & gentle handling of dogs & cats of all ages & medical needs. A lifetime of well rounded experience & love for species of all shapes & sizes. I am a Veterinary Technician with variable hours, making it easy to fit in pet sitting jobs into my schedule. My weekends & evenings are always open, but can adjust my daily routine to fit in your pet care when needed. I have lots of experience in pet & house sitting. I treat every home & animal with the same respect & care that I would treat my own. My goal is to gain the trust of your pet, minimize stress & maximize their comfort.

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life, I currently have five cats of my own, so I’m very comfortable with different personalities, energy levels, and care needs. I also have an 8 month old husky, so I’m experienced with high energy dogs, routines, and the patience and consistency they need. Friends and family have always trusted me to care for their pets, whether that’s feeding, walks, playtime, or just making sure they feel safe and loved while their owners are away. I treat every animal like my own and pay close attention to their behavior, comfort, and routine. I’m comfortable with multi-pet households, and keeping things clean and organized. My goal is always to make your pet feel secure, happy, and cared for while giving you peace of mind. My schedule is very flexible right now, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention and consistency. I’m available most days for drop-ins, walks, and house sitting, including weekends. Because I have pets of my own, I’m already in a daily routine of feeding, cleaning, playtime, and walks, so adding your pet into that routine is something I genuinely enjoy. I’m able to accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening visits depending on your pet’s needs. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. In your home, I will follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible to keep things consistent and low-stress. I pay close attention to behavior, appetite, and overall well-being, and I’ll always keep you updated with messages and photos. I’m very mindful of things like secure doors, leash safety, and making sure pets don’t have access to anything unsafe. With my own experience caring for multiple cats and a high-energy dog, I’m used to staying organized, clean, and attentive. Whether your pet is playful, shy, or needs a little extra patience, I create a calm, safe environment where they can feel comfortable while you’re away.
About: Hey there! I’ve been caring for animals for over 25 years…or really, my whole life! From dogs and cats to birds, hamsters, bearded dragons, and even fish, I’ve shared my life with animals of all kinds. I currently live with four cats who have taught me even more about patience, play, and intuitive communication. I’ve also helped friends with pet care, walked dogs of all sizes, and provided loving attention to pets while their humans were away. Animals tend to gravitate toward me, and I feel deeply connected to them. I believe in meeting each animal where they are, tuning into their energy, and ensuring they feel safe, seen, and nurtured. Whether it’s a playful walk, cozy check-in visit, or overnight care, I’m committed to showing up with love, attentiveness, and a calm, grounded presence. Your pet will be treated like one of my own! Pet care fits beautifully into my current schedule. I’m seeking flexible work that keeps me close to home so I can care for my four cats and continue pursuing my passion for baking. My days are open and adaptable, and I love spending time with animals. I’m currently available most days and times, and I genuinely enjoy being outside for walks or tending to pets’ unique needs. This work is a natural extension of my lifestyle. I treat all pets like family, tuning into their needs with care and calm energy. Whether in my home or yours, I create a peaceful, loving environment. I’m attentive to each pet’s unique personality, maintain clean spaces, and follow feeding or medication routines exactly. My four cats are well-loved and cared for, and I bring that same intention and presence to every animal I care for.
“There’s nothing like traveling and worrying the entire time! I was hesitant to use this app and I wasn’t having any luck finding a sitter…until I came across Emily! She kept me informed everyday! My fur babies were in such a better mood when I came home. They are usually boarded and that was not the best environment for them. It would take them days to resettle in at home. Thanks to Emily they were very well cared for! I will rebook for sure!!!!”

“Kendal was very prompt and made sure to give my animals plenty of attention. She also communicated with me of there were any issues. Highly recommend and will be requesting her services in the future.”

About: I love animals with all my heart. I’ve never met a pet who hasn’t loved me. I agree with the statement that animals are very energy in tune and I’d like to think so am I! I’ve done lots of dog sitting and cat sitting jobs for people close to me and they’re satisfied with how I did, so you 100% will be too. Your pet is in responsible, attentive hands. I have a free schedule and I’m in desperate need of a side hustle. I have too much free time and I think this would be the perfect thing to book my schedule with, especially because of how much I love being outside and animals. I’m very mindful of the safety even of my own animals so your pet is in the best of hands. Although my yard is not fenced, I take my dog out for walks leashed and for the few times she has escaped, I’m not near any major roads for there to be any accidents or for her to be in harm’s way. I am very vigilant and I would never put your animals or my own at risk because pets are apart of the family and I’d never let anything happen to a family member, even yours.

“This was the second time Vanessa took care of my 2 cats. She was able to capture a few photos of them while we were away, and as always, took great care of the kitties and house.”

About: I have been pet sitting and caring for neighbor's pets since a teenager. They have always trusted me with their pets and know I will be cautious and attentive. I am currently a stay at home mom to a toddler and we are looking for extra income. I have lots of time to entertain your pets and take care of them. I have a nice neighborhood with lots of scenery for walking your pet. You're pets will love hanging around the house with me and playing all day!
About: I am sarah I am 28 years old I am a stay at home mom with my 3 year old baby. We walk my dog Max twice a day religiously. I have a medium sized dog who is playful and gets along with most dogs! I am a certified veterinary assistant and have volunteered at the Humane Society in Louisiana. I would treat your pet like mine with days full of cuddles, play, walks, nap time, and treats! I would also provide socialization if they like dog parks and make their time away from their owner as fun as possible. I currently am a stay at home mom so we walk our dog regularly twice a day. We cuddle him throughout the day and allow him to lounge where he feels most comfortable and currently teaching him to getting used to being around a crawling baby. I would follow any instructions the owners give me and send them updates via phone/text. I would walk, give them snacks, and feed them, and play with them.
About: I love all animals especially dogs. I think they are the most loyal and loving animals on this earth. I have over 19 year of caring for dogs of all sizes. I have trained all my dogs myself, and they are very well behaved. Dogs love me and they will be in good hands. I can crate your dog if you require and work on obedience training. I have over five acres that the dogs can run around and play, supervised of course. I have two dogs Latte and Brown and they provide great company to their visitors. I can provide pickup and drop off service. Cost is based on distance. Feel free to send me questions. Free meet and great upon request, and I can bring Latte and Brown for introductions.
“We had a wonderful experience with Jake, who stopped by twice to care for our three cats and did an amazing job! Communication was excellent throughout, and he was reliable, attentive, and clearly genuinely cared about our cats’ well-being. We would absolutely trust Jake again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for dependable and trustworthy pet care.”

About: I grew up with cats in the house and have always loved all sorts of animals! I have taken care of friends pets before while they were traveling, including feeding and playing with both cats and dogs, walking dogs and helping in the crate training process, and cleaning litter boxes. I am flexible with my time right now and looking to spend time outside during the day, or time inside with a cute kitty! I’m currently working part time, so I have plenty of time to hang with your pets! I am able to build my schedule week by week depending on my preferences, so if you have a request, send it my way and I’ll see if I can make it work. For visits, I feel it should be your rules in your home. On a baseline, I leave a place better than I found it, I will clean up after your pet and myself before I leave! I like to know where a pet likes to spend time and a general daily routine before a visit too (if mom or dad says dinner is at 5 I won’t be so easily fooled by a begging puppy). Overall, each pet and owner is unique so my biggest priority is communication!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
