About: I have experience in home health care for the elderly, often providing support that extends to their pets as well. My experience with pets have been primarily dog walking for clients, feeding, pet/home maintenance I’m currently making myself entirely open to this experience into pet care as to making this my career. I enjoy being connected more with present life, and I feel as taking care of animals would set me on that track. I offered care to pets by fulfilling their needs, wants, and offering companionship. I also intend on extending care to making the environment more hygienic for the pet.
About: Hello, I grew up with a houseful of pets and now I am an owner to 3 small dogs and 3 kitties. As a mom to four daughters and six pets, I understand the stress of trying to plan a vacation away from home. I have dealt with my share of good and bad Pet Sitters over the last few years. I am 41 years old and have strong moral values and am very compassionate/ empathetic to all people and I feel that it is important to say about my character in these wild, uncertain modern times. I do have a full-time job that is 100% remote and very flexible in my daily schedule. I would like to meet new local families and help provide reliable, trustworthy care for your beloved pets! I have a fully remote, flexible schedule. My kids do not play any sports so I don’t have extra curricular activities to attend regularly. I’m hoping to find people in my area or surrounding neighborhoods. I am not ready to board in my home since it is a full house here with four kids, three dogs and 3 cats but I have the freedom and ability to come to your home, let your pets outside, feed them, give medicine, take a walk and give lots of pets and belly rubs.

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover who has been surrounded by pets for as long as I can remember. Over the years I’ve cared for all kinds of animals, from furry friends to reptiles, so I understand that every pet has their own unique personality and needs. I treat every animal like they’re my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. Whether your pet loves to play, go for walks, cuddle, or just needs someone patient and reliable to care for them, I’m happy to provide the attention they deserve. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I’ll always care for them with the same love and dedication I’d give my own. I can’t wait to meet you and your amazing pets! When you book with me, you can expect dependable, loving care for your pets while you’re away. I have experience caring for a wide variety of animals—from furry friends to reptiles and even slithering companions—so I understand that every pet has unique needs and deserves personalized attention. Because I have my own wonderful crew of animals at home, I’m unable to offer overnight stays or boarding in my home. However, I’m happy to provide drop-in visits, walks, and attentive care to make sure your pets stay happy, comfortable, and well cared for in their own environment. I’ll treat your pets like family, keep you updated with photos and messages, and make sure they receive plenty of love, attention, and care while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I understand that trusting someone with your beloved companion is a big decision, and I’ll care for your pets with the same love, patience, and respect that I give my own animals. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any special instructions so they can feel as comfortable as possible while you’re away. Whether it’s sticking to feeding schedules, administering basic care, or providing plenty of playtime and affection, I’ll make sure your pet receives attentive, individualized care. Communication is important to me, so I’ll keep you updated with messages and photos during each visit, giving you peace of mind while you’re away. My goal is to create a safe, low-stress experience where your pets feel secure, loved, and well cared for until you return home.
“I’m incredibly grateful for Hannah accepting my last-minute drop-in request! I appreciated the timely updates, and photos. It was such a relief knowing my Kaxo was in good hands, happy, and well cared for despite the short notice. I would gladly book with Hannah again and highly recommend her services!”

About: I love animals and I will go above and beyond to make your furry friend happy. I am reliable and patient. I would love to meet your furry friend! I’m currently working full time as a teacher and looking to start dog walking for exercise after work! I am especially looking for summer time walking and drop ins to make some extra income! I am trustworthy and always on time to the job. I will make sure that I treat your dog or cat the way I would want my cat treated.

About: I have experience caring for pets with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. I’m comfortable with walks, feeding, playtime, potty breaks, and providing plenty of love, attention, and companionship. I work full time at the moment but I am looking to do this full time so that I can go to dental assisting school. I myself have a fenced in yard, but I am comfortable with non yard homes, walking dogs, going to a dog park, groomers, providing medicine and cuddles.

“My senior Goldendoodle was so loved and cared for during visits by Emma. Emma was easy to work with in organizing the visits. She was on time for appointments and truly spent quality time with my pup. I trust her with being in my home and caring for my pet-family. I will call on Emma again...she's awesome!”

About: I have had animals since I was 6 and I take care of my animals and my friends and family! I would love to spend time with your furry friends! Currently I am just looking for jobs but in the meantime I am trying to earn money for payments I need and care for my animals! I always have a phone on me so if I need to contact someone or I need contacted that will never be an issue and I am never late and will always be there for your furry friends!
About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats since I was a child. I have helped my girlfriend train our current dog which is a bernedoodle. He knows how to sit, shake, go to his pillow, and he is currently learning to roll over. I currently have a Doberman at my parents house that I help take care of while I am home. I am currently a dental student at Ohio state and I am in school from 7:30-4:00 daily but the weekends I am free. Some days I will finish before 4:00 but that depends on the week. I feed and water my current dogs and cats every morning and every evening. They get treats throughout the day when they exhibit good behavior and listening skills so they know that is a positive thing to keep doing it.

About: I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember and have grown up caring for pets of my own as well as family members’ dogs. Over the years, I’ve gained plenty of hands on experience with feeding, walks, playtime, keeping them company, and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I especially enjoy spending time with small dogs and love getting to know each dog’s unique personality. I understand how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your pet in someone else’s care, and I’ll treat your dog with the same patience, attention, and affection I would give my own. Pet care will be my full-time focus, so I’ll have plenty of time and flexibility to give each dog the attention and care they deserve. I’ll be available throughout the day for walks, feedings, potty breaks, bathing/cleaning, playtime, and companionship. My priority is making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’ll follow their normal routines while giving them plenty of attention and affection throughout the day. I’ll take the time to learn each dogs personality, preferences, and routines and I’ll always approach them with patience and kindness so they feel comfortable and loved while in my care. I typically only care for one dog at a time for overnight stays so I can give them my full attention and make sure they get the individualized care they need. If siblings are coming from the same family, I’m happy to care for them together. I want every pet to feel happy, relaxed, and well cared for while their owners are away. 🫶🏼
“Hailey did a great job taking care of our cats and loving on them while we were out of town! She also did a good job giving my elderly cat her insulin injections. Would recommend Hailey to anyone looking for a pet sitter!”
About: I’m a massage therapist with too much time on my hands, I have three crazy cats and a 2 year old boxer. I grew up with both cats and dogs and can’t wait to meet yours! I work Monday 11:30-5 , Tuesday and Thursday 8:30-2 and Wednesday 3:30-9 other than that I am free! Weekends I’m free to pet sit, and even sometimes during the week I wouldn’t have to leave for more than 6 hours a day. My pets are more than spoiled and I would I’ve to do the same with your pet. From playing with or taking them for walks, whatever they need!
About: I’ve taken care of all sorts of animals since I could remember. Been around Great Danes to yorkies and love them all. I also have a cat and dog of my own both I’ve rescue and adore. I’ve also trained my dog, I’ve had her since she was 7 months old. I train with positive attitude and treats. I was relied on by family and friends to watch, walk and feed their pets. Occasionally would do some basic training to help keep up and of course cuddles. My pets are friendly with other animals, my dog gets excited when she gets to meet new friends and then goes about her business. I also have a crate for my dog if anything. I try to give the visiting pup a chance to sniff around first and get warmed up before I let my dog meet her. Allows both dogs to calm down and be relax by then.

About: I took care of my sister's dog for most of last summer and fall. I have developed strong dog-walking skills from this experience as she is quite the timid and confrontational dog. I have learned out to be extremely vigilant when walking a dog and I can read a dog's behavior as well as a human's at this point. My time management skills are par for the course and I have plenty of free time. I have plenty of free time – I have plenty of free time... there.. enough words. I have a fenced yard and beautful quiet neighborhood to walk your dog in. I can also learn the layout of any home and method for taking care of any dog by the standards of any owner within any home.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
