“Ivi did such a great job watching our pups! She was with them for 2 weeks and sent lots of pictures that they looked very happy and well loved in. She was very responsive any time we reached out and also went above and beyond caring for our home. Thank you Ivi!”

“We can’t say enough wonderful things about Roxi! She took such incredible care of our furbabies and our flock while we were out of town. Knowing they were in her hands gave us such peace of mind. Roxi cared for our animals and our home as if they were her very own. She went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy, safe, loved, and well cared for. It’s such a special feeling to find someone you can completely trust with the things that mean the most to you. Roxi is truly a wonderful soul, and we feel so lucky to have found her. We came home to happy babies and a well-cared-for home, and we couldn’t be more grateful. We will absolutely be using Roxi again for our next out-of-town trip and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and dependable. ❤️🐾🐔”

“Journey was great! This is the second time that she’s watched my two dogs and she was awesome. She took excellent care of the dogs and the house and she communicated often with pictures of the dogs. They looked happy and comfortable with her which helped me be at ease and enjoy my vacation fully.”

“Josue watched our golden for almost three weeks. He communicated and sent videos on a regular basis. I never worried that Stella wasn’t given the attention that she demands/is used to. Josue is very caring, transparent and he also helped with little things around the house like watering plants. He is willing and able to help in any way and has the energy to deal with our energetic fun loving golden. Highly recommend”

“This was our first time using Rover and Gisselle was great! We really appreciated the photos and videos she sent while we were gone as this was our first time leaving our puppy and cat with someone for a long time. Will be using her again!”

About: As a young child, I remember my first love with a four legged pup named Snowball. It was then that I learned of their unconditional love and knew dogs would be a huge part of my life. I’m a grateful FurMama of 4 rescued pups and our newest addition of 4 hens/roosters. We have raised all our furry babies since birth and they will forever hold a special place in my heart. Anyone that knows me, knows that if a dog is ANYWHERE in the vicinity of my eyesight - I’m going to pet/love on them with their parents approval. It’s normal for me to refer to my pups as “my kids” because we provide everything they could possibly want/need including home cooked meals on a weekly basis. If given the opportunity to love on your babies, I will do so with the upmost care and will send pics/videos during our hang out sesh. I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life. I rescued my own sweet girl as a puppy over 14 years ago and have rescued others over the years. Family and friends love the thought and care that I take of their sweet babies while they are away. I’m currently working part-time so my schedule is flexible to spend time with your four legged family member. My weekends are open when needed or during the week. I have a large fenced in yard with plenty of space for your pup to roam. We have 4 dogs in our home (ranging from small to XL) who love play dates with friendly pups.
“Wow! Can’t say enough good things about Bailey. One of our dogs was recently diagnosed with diabetes and she was experienced with that easing my mind while I was on vacation! She kept me updated providing some cute pictures and was super easy to communicate with!!! All my fur babies fell in love with her! Can’t wait to book her again!!!”

“If you need a rockstar dog sitter, Tory’s it! She watched our two girls over spring break and did an amazing job. She was communicative, paid detailed attention to their schedules, and sent the best pics. It was clear from the pictures and videos that our girls were having a great time and being so well cared for. She also went above and beyond and the house was spotless- couldn’t tell she’d been there!”

“Laura was so friendly and kind with my dog. My dog absolutely loves her…and so do we! We felt comfortable leaving my home and dog in her care. We will definitely be calling on her services again.”

About: I am a veterinarian,I have 30 years of experience as a veterinarian, I've worked in clinics, I live in a place where I have several animals, it's my passion. I have experience with different types of pets. In my daily routine, they are the most important thing, as I live with several pets in my home. I am very patient and dedicated to them every day. I like to observe the animals' behavior daily so I can monitor their health. I prefer to provide care at the client's home, as recommended by the veterinarian; it's better not to take the pet out of its familiar environment.
About: Growing up I always had dogs and would constantly watch dogs 101 and vet shows. I learned their language to better connect with them especially if they have anxiety. Right now I am raising 3 cats and caring for my elderly dog who has seizures so I know how to handle a situation when it come to it along with schedule medications. My dog also only chooses me to cuddle with during thunderstorms so if your pup has a fear of storms while you're gone you can rest assure I'm making them feel as safe as possible. I have pretty big gaps between my day schedule, between school and work. I have time for morning, afternoon and night visits. I usually get out of work 830 the latest so medication will be able to be given before too late in the night In the client's home I would normally make sure I can see their pet at all times to guarantee no accidents happen on my watch. I also depending on the breed and personality of the dog will walk them or give them enrichment more often as needed.
“My experience… actually Jovie’s experience as well :-) with Adelle was phenomenal. Adelle’s professionalism, care for Jovie and my house was exceptional. I would recommend Adelle without hesitation to everyone who is looking for a caring and knowledgeable sitter for their pets. Thank you!!”

“Could not have asked for a better pet sitter! Ashlee was absolutely wonderful with my dogs while I was away for a week. She stayed at my house, took incredible care of everything, and gave me complete peace of mind while I was on vacation. Most importantly, she went above and beyond with my senior dog by making sure he received his medication every single day. That meant so much to me and made it so much easier to relax knowing he was in such good hands. Ashlee was also extremely responsive throughout the entire stay and sent me multiple pictures of the dogs each day. Seeing them looking so happy, comfortable, and well cared for while I was away was honestly the best. It was clear that she genuinely cared about them and wasn’t just there to do a job. She was responsible, communicative, trustworthy, and incredibly attentive—not only to my dogs but to my home as well. I came back to happy dogs and a home that was exactly as I left it. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would 100% recommend Ashlee to anyone looking for someone they can completely trust with their pets and their home. I will absolutely be booking her again! ❤️”

“Honestly the sweetest person! She goes above and beyond. She took great care of my sweet boy and left my home in impeccable condition. She communicated well and voiced concerns she had about my Major during her short stay which was really important for me as he's just experienced a significant change in his health in recent weeks. She was prompt in notifying me of changes in my dog's health as well as communicating with the vet on my behalf while I was experiencing flight delays. When I returned, my home was just as clean as I left it to her and not a hair out of place. My dog was ecstatic to see me but probably secretly wished it was her walking through the door lol. I could tell he warmed up to her quickly. Couldn't recommend her enough and I really hope to have her back for future stays!”

About: My name is Melody and I have always loved caring for pets and helping out in the community. I have a small background in pet sitting, totaling about 2 years now. I am bilingual, consider myself to be very friendly and love it if I can bring a smile to someone’s day. I look forward to meeting new people and being able to lend a hand by taking good care of your furry friends, big or small. I have a fenced yard and can provide your pets some exercise time outside. I also have 2 golden retrievers who are very friendly with other dogs and would love to make some new friends.

About: Dogs have been a consistent and meaningful part of my life for years, and caring for animals is something I approach with intention, structure, and deep respect for their individual needs. I began walking neighborhood dogs in high school, cared for my own dog, Lady, for 15 years, and began fostering in 2024 in her honor. Since then, I have fostered 8 dogs, including multiple litters of puppies and adult dogs with a wide range of behavioral, emotional, and medical needs. My experience includes bottle feeding, potty training, basic training, senior care, medical recovery, and working with shy, anxious, reactive, and high-energy dogs. This has given me a strong ability to read behavior, adjust my approach, and create a calm, structured environment that supports each dog’s wellbeing. I currently have cats in my home, and any boarding or in-home care is thoughtfully considered in advance to ensure safe and appropriate compatibility. I prioritize slow introductions, supervision, and clear routines so animals feel secure and stress is minimized. I live an active lifestyle, and dogs in my care receive consistent walks, enrichment, and attention. I am comfortable with crate training, medications, and caring for multiple pets when appropriate, always prioritizing safety, structure, and stability. My approach is simple: thoughtful care, clear communication, and a calm environment where animals feel safe, understood, and well supported. Pet care is intentionally built into my daily routine, and I approach each booking with structure and consistency so pets feel secure and settled. I organize my day around feeding schedules, walks, enrichment, and check-ins, creating a predictable rhythm that supports each animal’s comfort and behavior. I am typically present throughout the day, with occasional short absences for workouts or errands, and I plan my schedule in advance to ensure I can fully meet the needs of each pet I take on. I only accept bookings when I am confident I can provide attentive, reliable care and maintain a calm environment. I provide calm, structured, and highly attentive care rooted in extensive hands-on experience with fosters, reactive dogs, puppies, seniors, and medically complex animals. I currently have cats in my home, so any in-home care is thoughtfully evaluated in advance to ensure safe, appropriate, and stress-free compatibility. I prioritize slow introductions, supervised interactions, and consistent routines to create stability and reduce uncertainty for every animal in my care. I am comfortable with crate training, medications, and supporting a wide range of behavioral needs, and I take care to ensure each pet’s environment is calm, predictable, and well-managed. When caring in a client’s home, I follow established routines closely to maintain continuity and reduce stress, treating each home with respect and professionalism. I accept bookings when I can fully support the needs of the pet and provide the level of care I would expect for my own.
“Marcella was wonderful. She came by before the sit to meet us and get a run down of responsibilities. Major took to her instantly. She's kind, reliable, and trustworthy. She arrived on time, maintained my pup's routine and sent lots of pics. I knew my boy was in great hands. I could tell he was well loved and cared for in my absence. She's welcome back anytime!”

Whether they need a long walk or some cozy couch cuddles, I’ve got it covered! I am currently a student with classes only on Mondays and Wednesdays. While I do have a fully fenced backyard and can crate dogs if absolutely necessary, I prefer traveling to your house to maintain your dog's regular routine, environment, and peace of mind.
About: I have years of personal experience caring for dogs. I had my Shih Tzu for 15 years, which gave me experience caring for a dog through every stage of life, from puppyhood to their senior years. I also recently welcomed a Maltipoo puppy into my family, so I’m familiar with the extra attention, patience, playtime, and routine that puppies need. I truly love dogs and will treat every pup in my care like they’re part of my own family. 🐾💕 Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give each dog plenty of time, attention, and care throughout the day. I’m able to provide regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, feeding, and lots of love and attention. Since I have a puppy of my own, caring for dogs is already a part of my everyday routine! I live in a comfortable townhome with a backyard where dogs can enjoy supervised outdoor time, potty breaks, and playtime. 🐾 I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. I follow each owner’s feeding, walking, and potty schedule as closely as possible and provide plenty of attention, playtime, and cuddles. Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Daisetta walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Daisetta maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
<b>Tip:</b> Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Daisetta choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
