Monty had such a great day with Ruby! We would 100% have him go to Ruby's again next time we are on the Vineyard. She was so accommodating, sent us updates, made sure he was comfortable, and even offered to pick him up/drop him off. Hue thanks!

Austin was Amazing! He took Coco at the last minute and helped me through my first use of Rover. I appreciate him so much! He treated Coco so well and sent pictures during the day. Austin was very patient with puppy behaviors and was polite and respectful during our time with him. I felt safe leaving our puppy with Austin and would recommend him highly.

Rebeka is very sweet. Marshall was nervous going to a new place but she sat with him and cuddled with him, which is exactly what works. She was responsive and professional with all communication and we highly recommend her! Marshall had adjusted and was happy by the time we came to pick him up.

Kevin was fantastic. He had a video meet and greet with me before booking, which I appreciate. And then he was very flexible/communicative during the drop-off and pick-up process. He sent me plenty of updates on my Willow while I was away with lots of photos. Overall highly recommend!

Milo had a wonderful time with Kimberly! He gets a little nervous in new places and being left with new people but he went in right away and didn’t even look back. I got photos and updates so I didn’t feel worried about how he was doing and he looked like he had a great time with everyone! When we got back to our hotel, Milo immediately fell asleep thanks to the busy day he had. Thanks so much for watching Milo!

About: Our mission is to offer people a simple, affordable option for boarding their pets: to keep them fed, safe and company while you're away. There's nothing worse than doubling the price of your vacation just to get your pets looked after! We keep our boarding price more than reasonable to give folks the financial bandwidth to spend their vacation money on their vacation--not on boarding their pets. We are both contract workers with flexible schedules, and Taylor is often able to work from home so your pets will have plenty of companionship! So we told you our mission-- There's a few ways this translates. We have a huge yard. So, we don't take your pups on walks. BUT. We play fetch, tug of war, and intentionally initiate zoomies. If your pup is conditioned to expect walks, it's probably most fair to find a sitter who'll get that walk in! We love a good daytime cuddle, but we also like a good night's rest. So, your pets sleep in the living room, helping us avoid chaos while we're getting shut-eye. We kindly ask that if you book with us, that you're confident your doggies can sleep out on their own without too much fuss! We have an array of options for creating ideal environments for your pets, with baby gates, a large yard that can be segmented for dogs needing smaller spaces or space from others, and multiple kennels. Coming soon, an electric fence with an extra collar for your pup if you'd like it!

About: Over 20 years of experience with pets- I trained my very first dog at only 10 years old! I grew up with a Great Pyrenees and am experienced with large / xl breeds. I absolutely love dogs and animals in general. I have two precious dogs of my own currently who I love more than anything. I’d be thrilled to care for your dog! I work remotely full time as a software engineer! Your pets are welcome to hang out with us for the day when you’re busy. Weekends I can provide even more active care since I have the days off. I have a fenced in yard but depending on your pets needs I can take them out on leash still. I let the dogs out to play frequently, every 2-4 hours.

About: I've had animals in my life since I was 1! I've always had dogs, cats, birds, and small animals in my home. I've trained 3 of my own dogs. I've also trained horses and farm sat. Comfortable with animals of every size and most dispositions. Happy to tackle medications and baths. My daughter just started preschool so I'm transitioning out of the 'stay at home mom' portion of my life. Her current schedule makes returning to my prior career difficult so I thought I would try and make some animal friends to fill my quickly emptying best for the next two years as she transitions to full time big kid school I do not have a fenced in yard but I have a long lead and love across the street from Jamiels park and a block from the east bay bike path and town dog park. If your dog is comfortable with other dogs I am happy to take them in my home. If not, I would love to provide care at your home or take them for enriching walks

we were looking for a home close by to our house where Quinnie could have some time to interact with other dogs in a safe and living environment. Jackie‘s home was perfect for what we were looking for. A large securely fenced yard plus a dog door. Quinnie seemed very comfortable with Jackie, her husband and their three adorable dogs. She spent six hours there and came home tuckered out, but she seemed very happy with the day. Jackie was very attentive and kept us informed. We would very highly recommend her!

About: My wife and I have taken care of dogs and cats our entire lives. We currently share our home with, Bailey, our 5 year old playful mutt. We love all animals and look forward to meeting and caring for new animal friends. We also have extensive experience caring for farm animals, including horses, cows, goats, chickens, etc. We work from home and generally can adjust our schedules in order to accommodate your pets' needs. We will gladly hang out with you pet and give them all the attention they deserve throughout the day. We own our home and have a fenced in private yard. Bailey loves to play but if your pet isn't into her, we get it and can separate them if needed. Our home has plenty of room for everyone to be safe and comfortable. My wife works from home most week days and I work from home part time. We are available to supervise your pet, provide frequent outside time, and play. Bailey will also keep them company. We will treat your animal as part of the family. We want to make sure they are happy and comfortable throughout their stay. They will never be left alone with my dog unsupervised as we want to keep everyone safe. We will always keep your pet leashed when outside of our fenced in yard.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 201 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Cuttyhunk. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Cuttyhunk commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 201 sitters in Cuttyhunk, 86% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Don't let your 9-to-5 stop you from being a great pet parent. When you're heading to work, drop off your beloved pet with a loving dog sitter near you. Your dog will get the love and care they're used to at home, and you'll get photo updates and the peace of mind that comes from finding great care for your pet.
