“Jada did an excellent job with our kitty Geno! She came at the same time daily, fed him, gave him fresh water, and scooped his litter box. She even spent extra time playing with him! We were so happy to receive daily reports of how Geno was doing and get the sweetest pictures! I can’t recommend Jada enough to take care of your pets. We will definitely be hiring her again in the future!”
“This is the second time Jennifer has watched my cats and she is just the best! She brought in our mail, took out the trash without even being asked, feeds the fish, and spends time with the cats rather than ducking out early. We appreciate her!”

About: I’ve spent my entire life caring for animals and have experience with everything from dogs and cats to horses, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small animals. Animals have always been a central part of my life, and caring for them comes naturally to me. Professionally, I worked at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute, one of the nation’s leading veterinary hospitals, where I gained hands-on experience supporting animal health and recognizing changes in behavior, appetite, mobility, and overall wellness. I also helped train dogs through Wildcat Service Dogs, which taught me how to work with dogs of different temperaments, reinforce training, and build trust through consistency and positive interactions. In addition to my animal experience, my healthcare background has made me highly dependable, detail-oriented, and attentive to safety. Whether your pet needs a long walk, medication, extra exercise, specialized care, or simply companionship while you’re away, I tailor my approach to their individual needs. I understand that pets are family, and I treat every animal in my care with the same patience, attention, and affection I give my own. My schedule allows me the flexibility to provide reliable care throughout the week, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays when available. Animal care is already part of my everyday life. I currently care for dogs, cats, horses, chickens, and other animals, so maintaining feeding schedules, exercise routines, medication administration, and daily enrichment is second nature to me. I understand how important consistency is for pets, and I make every effort to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my highest priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, medical needs, and any special instructions before care begins. Pets staying with me enjoy access to 30 fully fenced acres in Gibsonia, providing plenty of room for exercise, enrichment, sniffing, and play in a secure environment. All outdoor time is supervised, and activities are tailored to each dog’s energy level, age, and comfort. With experience in veterinary medicine, service dog training, and caring for a wide variety of animals, I am comfortable administering medications, monitoring for signs of illness or distress, and handling pets with unique behavioral or medical needs. I provide frequent updates and photos so owners can enjoy peace of mind while they’re away.
“Stephanie is absolutely wonderful with our cat Cocoa! She was willing to work with our hectic schedule and and is so nice and accommodating. She also sends pictures and updates throughout her visit with our cat. I would recommend Stephanie to anyone looking for pet care. She’s the best!!”

“Abigail is great! Our young Chihuahua (also named Abigail) is very leery of new people. Abigail took the time to get to know her and build trust. To us that is priceless. Our dog also has Addison's disease, and it is comforting to know Abigail is a nurse and comfortable giving her needed daily meds. We highly recommend her even if it means sharing her with others. You won't regret choosing her to care for your beloved pets.”

“Maria was amazing from the start for us! She agreed to take care of our babies last minute the day before we left for our trip! She came and loved them like they were her own and kept us updated on everything! She was kind enough to grab our packages for us too! We had no worries while being away knowing she was caring for our baby doggies 🩶”

“Lindsay did an awesome job checking in on my cat while I was away on vacation. She sent great pictures and videos and helped ensure my cat was well taken care of in my absence. Highly recommend her for your pet care needs!”

“Meagan was great! We were flexible about times, but she always came when she said she was going to and gave detailed summaries after each visit. We could see her playing with Louie on the outdoor camera, and he looked like he really enjoyed her company. She took great care of our buddy while we were out of town and we couldn’t be happier!”

“We’ve entrusted our 4 cats with Kelly twice now and each time she goes above and beyond caring for fur babies. The daily updates and pictures really go a long way in letting us be at ease on vacation. Our cats and house were well taken care of under Kelly’s expert care. I can’t recommend her services highly enough.”

About: I’ve been working with a variety of dogs of all different breeds for roughly 6 years via dog walking, dog sitting, etc! I love dogs of all kinds! I’m a doctoral student of occupational therapy, so most of my time is spent working via fieldwork and doing homework. I am free on Tuesdays & Thursdays for drop ins/walks, and on weekends for housesitting. I’m happy to help with any household needs specified during housesitting! Please leave me comprehensive instructions for caring for your pet(s), including meal details/times, walking schedule, etc.
About: I have had a dog for 7 years! He is super playful and joyous. I have had to brush his teeth, clip his nails, and give him medicine, along with all other responsibilities that come with a dog. I love big dogs and am very patient with all animals. I currently work part-time and have availability in the mornings and nights! I walk everyday and am hoping to include a pet in my daily walks! I am very tidy and considerate of people's space as well as the animal's environment. I take care to keep anything dangerous locked away from my pets in my home and am very careful with opening and closing doors to the outside due to my cat!
“Olivia was great with my cats. They were very comfortable with her and she gave them lots of individual attention. She was very communicative and understanding. I would definitely recommend her for any pet sitting needs ❤️”

About: My name is Amanda, I’m thirty nine and child less so that means more time for dogs! I recently lost my senior bulldog Junior so Im new to this site but figured it would be a good idea to try and fill my time when i’m not at work since all my free time was spent with him. I work at night so morning/afternoon walks and/drop ins are ideal. Can be flexible on my off days too and am open to caring for pets while you take a short trip if needed Love to take a walks and keep your dog company while you work or even take a trip. Though I’m the case or a vacation; I’d prefer the pet stay at their own house because that’s where they feel most comfortable but am flexible since I’m dog less

“I booked Sarah through Rover to check in on my pets while I was on vacation, and she was amazing! She visited daily, walked Yogi three times a day, and made sure Luna was happy and cared for. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Curtisville. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 92% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
