âHeather was amazing! She took on our 10-week-old puppy, Jack, for the day/evening. It was his first time with a sitter, and she was wonderful and put us at ease about leaving our pup for the first time. Would highly recommend her to anyone. We hope she will have us back sometime.â

âThis was our first Rover booking for a day of daycare. Our sheepadoodle was pretty anxious when we arrived. Scott did a good job of putting her at ease. His dog Brinley is gentle and did her part in making our dog less nervous too. It wasnât long after we left that we got a video of her playing with 3 other dogs. That was very reassuring. We chose Scott because we liked that he and Jess were full time dedicated to the care of dogs. We liked that there would be other dogs there because we felt being busy with playmates would be a positive. Itâs clear that Scott is serious about providing great care to dogs and it appears he has earned many loyal customers. I donât think anyone should have any qualms about giving them a try! I am glad we did!â

âCarls had an amazing first day of doggy daycare! She slept the whole way home. I appreciate all of the pictures and updates throughout the day. Tanya goes above beyond!â

âIvana did an amazing job! She treated our puppies like they were family, and they looked forward to going to her place every day. We will definitely have our pups stay with Ivana again.â

âJessica was great and Ginsburg had a lot of fun playing. Convenient location, great updates through the day from Jessica and easy to work out schedule options with my travel and variances. Jessica is a pleasure to work withâ

About: Dogs have always been in my life. I volunteered at Animal Lifeline for 8 years and had a dog daycare of my own for a while. Dogs are everything and Iâd be honored to love on yours. I currently work full time from home so doggie day care is definitely doable! My day ends at 3 pm so I can be that late afternoon or evening potty break or walk. Weekends have potential as well with pre-arranged time and notice. Should your dog(s) stay with me during the day, I have a fenced yard and no carpet in case of oopsies! If you request that I come to your house I am very reliable, responsible and respectful. I can guarantee a boat load of scritches and belly rubs as well as time for âbusinessâ.
âIt has been a privilege to have met Ali. Her joy over these silly, unique, fun, and personable dogs is infectious. Ali helped to train my dog! Ali helped me to better train my dog! Ali excellent communication skills, easy laughter and a person I could count on. Both Gracie and I will miss her greatly as we have to move out of town. But between Gracie's nose and my memory, we will hope to get near her again.â

âSarah was fabulous. We had another Rover set up, but they had to cancel, so with short notice, Sarah was able to take care of your two little dogs. Her communication from booking and throughout the stay was wonderful and she was flexible with times, which was very appreciated. Our miniature poodles are a little shy with small children, but they did not mind running around the very spacious house with her two little boys. We highly recommend Sarah to take care of your dogs.â
About: I believe that animals were put on this earth to show us how to love! The least we can do is return the favor â¤ď¸ I work from home so I have all the time to show your pet love away from home! When I'm not working I have most evenings and weekends available to check in when they are at home! I have a Fenced in yard and two dogs to keep your pup company! I also have an XXL crate needed if that helps comfort them, so that they have their own space when needed!
âOsvaldo, his wife and daughter are an amazing dog family! It was seriously like going to an amusement park for our dog. They did lots of walks/runs, playing, training and sent lots of pictures. We will be going back!! I'm am so thankful to have found them for our pup. They even took the time to work with my special needs son on training our pup. They deserve 10 stars! ?â

âKelsey was wonderful with our girl Bonnie! Bonnie is a little anxious at first and has a bit of a loud mouth đbut Kelsey was patient and had her relaxed and playing/napping in no time. We will absolutely trust her with Bonnie again.â

âMeghann was so responsive when we reached out somewhat last-minute and communicated seamlessly while providing care for Monte. Would absolutely recommend Meghann and weâll be using her again!â

About: I have cared for animals most of my life. I have cared for common house pets, rodents, birds, reptiles, and even live stock/ farm animals. My life goal is to become a vet and I have experience taking care of special needs animals. I currently work Monday - Friday 9 hours a day but will be home by 4. I live in a 3 bedroom apartment with 2 friendly cats that have both been raised around dogs most of their lives. There is also a park down the street that is just a few minutes walk. At the moment I do ask that if your furry family member will be a guest over night that a crate is provided for safety of your family and my own. I can care for your furry friends before I leave for work and after I return from work. I am also free most weekends and can watch them from Friday to sunday Your furry friends will not have access to anything harmful and will be allowed on my furniture. For their safety and mine at night I will have them sleep in a kennel.

âCorkie loved her doggy day care time playing with Bailey and Iggy in their big backyard! This was her first time away from home and it went so well! Will definitely have Sherilynn watch her again!â

âMackenzie was wonderful with my dog, Brooke! She was so good to take us on last minute. She sent lots of updates and pictures, and always responded immediately to my texts. We would absolutely return again!â

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Cumming
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 249 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Cumming. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your petâwhether thatâs early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Cumming commute.
If your schedule changes, itâs best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dogâs fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0â7 kilograms and/or 7â18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pupâs socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dogâs pack, check the sitterâs profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dogâs vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitterâs care.
Many sitters in IA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, youâre adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 249 sitters in Cumming, 82% respond to messages in under an hour.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
