“Angie was very responsive and easy to work with! I would absolutely use again. I was unfortunately in a poor service area, creating some communication issues and Angie was very patient and helpful through the process!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs but more recently have been watching friends and families dogs (including a young lab puppy). Tell me everything about them so I can make them feel more comfortable! No detail is too small. My weekdays and weekends are very flexible for walks and/or check-ins. Please see my schedule for booking—multiple visits per day is no problem for me. I cannot provide home boarding, but I can be flexible enough to spend as much time as you want with your fur baby at your place!
“Our kitties loved Tim, and they were very happy and calm when we returned home. He provided lots of play time for the younger cats, and lots of photos while we were away. I think they were disappointed it wasn't Tim when we walked in the door!”

About: I’ve grown up with pets my whole life. I’ve had 4 cats and 4 dogs throughout my life. I currently have a 5 year old cat and a Golden Retriever that will be 1 year old later this month. I very much understand that caring for an animal isn’t just feeding them and leaving. I put in a lot of care for every pet I’ve had, and I will do the same for yours. I currently don’t have a job, so taking care of your pet would be the main part of my routine. I can make time at any point of the week as long as I know where to be. I currently live in an apartment, so I don’t offer boarding in my home. If your home has a fenced yard, I would love to be out there with your dog making sure that they have a way to use their energy. Will always make sure to give walks and treats if permitted. For cats, it completely depends on the temperament of your cat. Whether your cat likes to play, lay around, or wants to be left alone, I’m prepared for all scenarios.
“Ashley did a terrific job taking care of our 2 doggos! She arrived on time and made sure they got their dinner , went potty, and had some good outdoor activity. Definitely recommend Ashley to care for your doggos!”

“Ashley made a couple drop in visits for me. She was easy going, and did well with my dogs. She seems very trustworthy and efficient. This was the first Rover visit, and I was very pleased.”

“Allison did a perfect job checking in on my two cats while I was out of town. Booking her was fast and easy. She is punctual, respectful, follows directions, and is very communicative. She gave a thorough update and went above and beyond in her care. I definitely recommend booking with her. Thanks again, Allison!”

“Heidi was so wonderful to work with! She was great at communicating and while we were gone, our heater breaker flipped off and she quickly helped identify it and fix it. Our cat Pearl was well cared for while we were away and we would gladly book Heidi again!”
“Christina is truly caring and patient with our cat Spaghettio. She was so kind and made even such a shy cat warm up to her right away. She replies right away and always has your pets interest in mind. I highly recommend Christina!”

“Rachael was wonderful with our dog from the moment they first met. I was having surgery out of town and any concerns faded when I saw how good Rachael was with her right off the bat! One less thing to worry about during my hospital stay. She included adorable photos and details of each visit. In our initial visit with Rachel, it was evident her knowledge, passion and caring for dogs, and I had no doubt our dog would be in great hands. Thank you, Rachael!”

“Jessica is amazing. I had flight troubles and had to add trips. she covered for me without any problems and played with my pup even in sub freezing temps. If I have to go on a trip without my pup again I will be calling Jessica right up”

“Kaden was absolutely wonderful with my crazy 7 month old kitten! Sequoia was so happy to have somebody stop by to give her a little bit of playtime and enrichment while I had an extra long day at work. Kaden made sure to cover all of the bases of care and included lots of pictures of my girl in the Rover card. He is very trustworthy, thorough, and hands down the best sitter for cats. I highly recommend Kaden and will 100% be booking again soon for the holidays. 😊”

About: I have extensive experience dog walking and dog sitting for my family, friends, and neighbors. I have also been a “Wag!” dog walker for a year and a half, and have walked and cared for many dogs in the Des Moines area professionally. I feel comfortable around all types of dogs and have been a dog owner my entire life (my current family dog is a sweet and energetic golden retriever/yellow lab mix). Overall I love spending time around animals and am excited about this new opportunity! I am in medical school and am usually available during afternoons and evenings, and during the days on weekends to dogsit. I am flexible and looking to choose my schedule as I go. I have a small comfortable studio apartment. There are several dog parks nearby and there is ample space around my building for walks! I do not have any pets at home.
About: I’ve taken care of animals off and on throughout my childhood, and most recently raised and trained a puppy. Neighbors, friends and family have counted on me to be dependable for walks, meals, play dates etc. and I love being there for a pup just like they are for us. Your pup will be sure to get lots of attention, play dates with other dogs at my apartment, walks along the trail or hikes, and belly rubs. I will take care of your fur baby as if they were my own. Available for multiple walks a day, and on a hybrid work schedule which makes it easy to take good care of your pup while you’re away. I live in a dog friendly apartment complex that has big areas for your pet to roam and play with other pups. I am mindful of each pet’s needs when watching them.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 447 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Cumming. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cumming. On Rover:
- 87% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 92% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
