We feel incredibly lucky to have found Deirdre. She is warm and compassionate! She is the kind of person who instantly renews your faith in humanity. She is a true animal lover in every sense of the word, and her connection with animals particularly, our senior girl was immediate and deeply reassuring. Caring for an older dog requires patience and experience. She was especially skilled with seniors, thoughtful about our dog’s needs, and communicated with us clearly which gave us complete peace of mind. Because of her, our family was able to enjoy a ski trip and spend meaningful time together, knowing our dog was not just watched, but truly cared for overnight. We cannot recommend Deirdre highly enough. She goes far beyond “pet sitting” — she provides loving, trustworthy care, and we are profoundly grateful to have met her.

I would highly recommend Tiffany to anyone looking for a loving, reliable sitter. My regular sitter wasn't available and my first option on Rover had to cancel at the last minute. Tiffany cheerfully accepted my last minute request and my dog Camille immediately took to her. I got regular updates and photos of Camille playing happily with other dogs and sleeping peacefully in the house. Tiffany treated my dog like her own. This was a great experience all around.

I’m so grateful for Deborah! I was worried about how my dog would do being the first we’re apart and she made her feel at home and welcomed. She eased my anxiety with daily updates and returned my dog happy and healthy. I would absolutely work with her again!

Karen and her family took incredible care of my 90 pound lab mix. My dog became part of the household in a short 24 hours. I’ll definitely use her again when I’m in the area.

Erica was wonderfully patient and kind with our elderly Chihuahua, Suzie, while we explored local attractions while traveling through the area. Suzie is typically anxious in new situations but she looked relaxed in the pictures Erica sent to us throughout her stay and was calm and happy when we picked her up. We are extremely thankful for Erica’s focused attention and compassion with our senior girl.

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats ranging from under one year to 14 years of age. I have administered medication for dogs and cats (orally and via shot). I have provided care for extremely social dogs and anxious pups—I am confident in my ability to provide connection and care.I have also taken care of chickens and am comfortable doing so. I have been living with a golden retriever puppy for the last two years so I’m eager to spend time with some pups of kittens! I am a middle school teacher on summer break. My schedule for July is empty!!! I need work in July before going back to school. Trying to save up to get my own pup… I am unfortunately not available to host dogs at my house since I am living with my parents. I am 24 years old and that’s a bit too much of an ask. Thank you for understanding.

Oz had a great time. Biggest thing was, he gave Niko one sniff and decided to show himself to the door. He definitely felt at home. Plenty of walks and pictures as well.

About: I grew up around animals of all kinds on a farm and had the privilege of owning and loving our dog, Betty Lou for 14 years. I work from home and am looking for ways to make extra money while staying active and fitting in with my kids' school schedule (9 am-3 PM). We have a fenced in yard and I will follow whatever guidelines are needed in the client's home. I understand each situation is different and each pet needs specific care.

Our 6 year old dog Coda stayed with Dima for five nights. Our dog is anxious in new environments and Dima did an amazing job making her as comfortable as possible! Dima communicated with us the whole time, letting us know how our pup was doing and I was grateful for her calm patience. She provided a lot of focused attention to our dog and you can tell she cared about her well being. I highly recommend her!

About: Now offering adventure daycare (pick up and drop off service and hiking during the day) and boarding in my home which includes adventure daycare.... Over 16 years training, walking and exercising high energy dogs. I have extensive experience with working dogs, special needs dogs and have certifications in dog obedience and other disciplines. I am licensed as a public school teacher and fully background checked. Contact me for the best care. Boarding and adventure daycare is my speciality. I have limited drop in availability. Dog walking and exercising is my full-time job. I want to provide a concierge service that makes it easiest for you to take your time back and be well. Your wellness is key to your dog being well. My joy for this profession started when I couldn't find a trusted sitter and dog walker for my own animal. I decided to provide that service to others so they wouldn't have the same problem. I give love, attention and exercise to your family member as if they were my own. I am a licensed public school educator who is fully background checked with glowing references that can be provided.

Every sitter has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.

Sitters may also include daily walks in the neighborhood during your dog's boarding stay. You can also request photo and message updates throughout so you can see which local landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.

If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Crown Point home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Crown Point.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your Crown Point sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
