“Kelly was wonderful and sent pictures throughout the day. We so appreciate her diligence in helping us with our dogs. One of our dogs requires daily medicine and an ointment. Kelly didn’t seem to have an issue with it and took wonderful care.”

“we love leaving our dog with Mickey. We know she truly loves her and takes her for wonderful walks and takes good care of her. Daisy is always happy to go to Mickey‘s house. Amy.”

“Lacey was amazing with my fur babies, even my 55lbs of crazy lol. They both came home happy and calmer than I even expected, she needs to tell me her secret to calm my crazy girl lol. I will only be using Lacey for my fur babies care in the future!!”

“I am so incredibly grateful for Samantha and her family. Her communication from the start was so reassuring. She asked all the right questions when I dropped her off and I knew she was in good hands. She sent tons of pictures and it was clear that Daisy was totally enjoying herself and felt comfortable in her new space. When I picked her up, my heart totally melted by how happy she was. I will ABSOLUTELY be using Samantha in the future! I highly recommend!”

“Olsen came back happy and exhausted from his time spent with Jill! She sent us updates and it gave us peace of mind to know Olsen had people and animals to play with while we were gone.”

About: Ive taken care of dogs of different breeds and sizes since 11years old. I’ve had pets dropped off at my house to dog sit, I’ve gone to others houses for the weekend to dogsit family, friends and neighbors that have entrusted me with their pets. I’m currently working and doing online classes from home. So I have plenty of time to focus on the pup/dog. I work wells with schedules so I can work around the normal schedule you have your dog/pup at. I don’t have a fenced yard but I do have a yard, which I walk the dogs around town to get their walks in. I have 3 cats but depending on the dog they can stay on the 3rd floor. I also have a neutered male husky and a unspayed cattle dog mix (she’ll be fixed in a few months) we have 4 adults at the house as well. I’ll do onboarding , walks , and also checking in on them if you’re away.

“This was our first time leaving our 15 week old Bernese. After meeting Beth and Ron, we felt very comfortable leaving home with them. He had a great time, he was well taken care of and Beth updated us the whole time. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to board our boy.”

About: I currently have a cat and a golden retriever and would love to help you take care of your dog while you are in need. I work from home Monday through Friday so my schedule allows me to be very flexible for potty breaks and general playtime while I'm taking care of your best friend. We have over 3/4 of an acre of property and are also located in the heart of Berlin...So a walk or outside playtime is no problem.
“Gabrielle was great! I had to book last-minute and she was able to take my reservation on short notice, and she was great with my dog. She took her on multiple walks over the stay and when I came to pick Bug up she was happy and well taken care of”

“Brenda did a terrific job watching over and caring for our dogs. She asked good questions, showed genuine concern for their care and kept us in the loop. She has a great place for them to run around in a secured fenced-in yard and a spacious home for them to play. I really think you can’t go wrong with her.”

About: I have loved dogs my entire life, and grew up taking care of them from a young age. I have attended many dog training classes with my family dog, and understand that every dog has its own personality and needs. I’m experienced with daily walks, feeding schedules and administering simple medications, and play time. As a pet sitter I am dependable, responsible, and I pay attention to detail. I will treat your dog as if they are my own. I have reliable transportation and lots of available time during to the day to either come let your dog out for a good walk, or I also offer dog boarding at my own home that has no other pets and has a large fenced yard.
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Cross Keys
Kelly was amazing! Would definitely trust her with any pet of mine. Her house was clean and it’s pretty much perfect for any boarding or pet sitting. Kenji took to her right away and I didn’t even worry about him once, this was the first time we’ve been seperated this long during the day. Kenji is a high energy dog and he came back home and went right to sleep so I know they played hard. Thank you Kelly for everything, will 100% be back.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Cross Keys home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Cross Keys.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Cross Keys sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in DE ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
