“My first time to use Rover.com. Very satisfied. Natalie was quite dependable. Cats warmed up to her (as much as cats do). I will definitely be using them/her for future pet care needs.”

“Hannah was absolutely wonderful. She gave my girls lots of love and was very friendly. Communication was great and thorough. It was so nice being able to leave my dogs at home knowing they would be fed and let out. It made our trip worry free.”

“Kaity has been great with communication and even sent me a video of my lil one. My dog has been taking a couple of medications and Kaity was great at dispensing them. Thanks Kaity!”

I play softball at Sam Houston so my schedule is tight but I will work with what accommodates you and what is best for you and your dog! “Jessica was the absolute best when watching my Ziggy. I have never left him before and she made me feel so much at ease. I would recommend Jessica to anybody! I am truly thankful for her!”

“Savanna has been a blessing to us. I booked her originally for 5 days while me and my wife travel to New York. I didn’t come back until 2 days after those 5 were over and I was able to pay her to come do those andditinal days plus tip and she was very understanding. She is so great with my big dog Poppa as well as my little pups. Hopefully I can keep her as my regular dog sitter. We love her🫶🏾”

About: I’ve had animals around me basically my whole life. Right now I have 2 dogs, Kiki and Chloe, but growing up there were always pets in my home. I’ve also helped take care of pets for family friends, so being around animals has always been a normal part of my life. I love dogs of all ages, especially puppies and senior dogs. I know every pet is different and has their own personality, so I always try to make them feel comfortable and loved. What makes me different is that I genuinely love doing this. For me it’s not just about making money. Of course getting paid is nice, but I really enjoy spending time with animals and taking care of them. I treat every pet like they’re my own and give them all the attention, patience, and love they deserve. Right now I’m on summer break and have a very flexible schedule, so I’m available most days and at different times throughout the day. I’ll be starting college in August, but my schedule will still be pretty flexible. I’m available for walks, drop in visits, feeding, playtime, and just keeping your pet company. I can also do multiple walks a day if needed and I’ll always do my best to follow their normal routine. I live in a house with a fenced yard and have 2 friendly dogs of my own. Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my priority. I’ll follow any instructions you give me and make sure your pet gets lots of attention, care, and love. If I ever notice that something seems wrong or that a pet isn’t feeling well, I’ll contact you right away and make sure they get the care they need. I know how important pets are because I feel the same way about mine, and I’ll treat yours like part of the family too
“Morgan did a great job with my kiddos! Moxie absolutely adores her and the kitties came around after a short time. Morgan was responsive to questions while we were away. She took the time necessary to prepare raw food for everyone, give Moxie eye meds, and take plenty of photos to quell my anxiety over leaving the kids for two weeks. Being the first time to use Morgan, this certainly won't be the last time!”

Arya (aussiedoodle) and Rollo (bernadoodle). I currently work a full time job. I am available on week nights (even if you need me to stay and watch the pet), but I would only be able to let them out in the morning and at night. If your pet stays with us, your pet would be let out in the morning and evening. Also my husband comes home on lunch! We have a dog door that your pet can use if your pet is not created during the day. We have a fenced in yard, a doggy door, and all the dog toys! I am also available to come and watch your fur babies! I will be sure to give all the love, take on walks and go to the dog park.

Randi did an outstanding job checking in on my dog, Storm, over the weekend. She was reliable, attentive, and clearly cares about animals. I appreciated the updates and the peace of mind knowing Storm was being well taken care of while I was away. I’d absolutely trust Randi again and highly recommend her to anyone needing someone dependable to look after their pets.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
