“Recent travel and an old cat at home required added attention that Elizabeth was able to provide. The reassurance from her correspondence allowed me to feel less guilty knowing the cat was well cared for.”

“Treates my boys so well. Spent time with them, gave them their meds, and sent lots of photos. Gave us peace of mind, especially with two anxious pups that aren't used to new people. Definitely re-booking for when we go away again!”

About: We have a 9 year old dog named Arlo. He is a bulldog, cattledog, and collie mix. He is very energetic and loves to play but if a dog is laid back.. he will get the message and give space as well. We also have a 2 year old cat at home as well. I have watched all types of dogs from small to very large. Your dog will be well cared for, and well loved. My kids love playing with dogs as well, so you know he/she will get plenty of play time! I am very flexible and can work within your schedule. I am also home a lot so he/she will rarely be alone. Can provide a discount if paid in cash Home most of the day. Really flexible most of the time but more available for last minute drop ins during the week oppose to weekend. I am home most if not all day so the dog will never be alone for long periods of time. I try to follow the same routine the dog is used to at home and ask for owners to bring their comfort items if they have any.
“Lily was wonderful! She dropped in on my kitty while I was out of town, taking great care of him and providing timely updates on how the visits went. I would book her again, and would recommend her to anyone!”

“Hanna is great and I will definitely be a repeat client! Our kitties were well taken care of, even though they are both picky and can be catty, Hanna kept them happy! We really appreciate the care and continuous updates and pics/vids of our kitties. I would give more stars if I could! 💕”

About: There has always been a pet in the home since childhood, I’ve watched and taken care of 5 personally owned dogs from puppyhood to adulthood! I have babysat my aunts cat Tammy for a few months now, and I have taken care of my own dog Maestro when my parents are on vacation, or need an extra pick-me-up. I also have been volunteering at Humane Society of Harrisburg for about a few months now! I have always had a huge heart towards animals of all personalities and sizes. I’ve worked with nervous big dogs, to crazy little puppies! I would be more than willing to meet your amazing animal someday! 😊💕 I have access to a car, so I am easily able to provide as much time and energy as your animal needs. I also do not have a typical job, so my schedule is pretty flexible. I will be super respectful of your space and keep notes about certain things your animal needs, and provide spectacular feedback on how your animal is feeling, how the day went, overall what happened during my service! I am a wonderful listener and I learn extremely quickly.
About: I have spent over four years working hands on in a busy rescue shelter, providing daily husbandry, medical care, behavioral support, and safe handling for animal friends of every temperament and condition. I supported new arrivals who came in confident and social, shy friends who shut down from stress, and pets who needed calm guidance before they felt safe. Working with furry friends who were excited, anxious, grieving, fearful, or adjusting to major life changes taught me how to respond with patience, steady communication, and professional skill. My background includes senior care, medical needs support, and specialized routines for friends who rely on consistency. I have managed medication schedules, wound care, mobility challenges, special diets, and emotional needs with confidence. I worked closely with veterinarians and served as a vet tech at the shelter, gaining hands on experience with medical procedures, behavior observation, and safe handling for friends in all conditions. I am trained in SAFER assessment handling and comfortable supporting pets who benefit from structure, reassurance, and predictable routines. I am equally confident with playful energetic friends who enjoy activity and quiet friends who prefer soft company and peaceful days. I have also been trusted to support furry friends during palliative care, something I approach with deep respect. Being asked to be present for a friend in their most vulnerable moments is a quiet honor, and I always offer steadiness, comfort, and calm attention. My shelter team often turned to me for these situations because of the way I understood each friend’s needs and the gentle presence I brought to difficult moments. Those experiences taught me how meaningful it is to provide warmth and reassurance when a friend needs it most, and they continue to shape the way I care for every pet I meet. In addition to hands on care, I also worked in customer experience at the shelter, helping match our furry friends with the right adopters. I learned how important it is to understand each friend’s personality, needs, and comfort level so I could communicate clearly and honestly with potential adopters. I spent time getting to know our friends, explaining their needs, and helping families understand what would make the best fit. Guiding adopters through those decisions taught me how to advocate for each friend with clarity, kindness, and confidence. Every furry friend is welcomed with respect, understanding, and genuine care. Whether a pet arrives full of energy, feeling uncertain, or simply looking for a reliable presence, I adjust to their pace and their comfort level. My goal is always to meet each friend exactly where they are and provide care that fits their age, personality, medical needs, and emotional state. I recently made the difficult but exciting decision to pause my career and stay home with my little one. During this chapter of life, I am also pursuing my education to become a Certified Veterinary Technician, allowing me to combine my love for animals with continued learning and professional growth. As a result, my schedule remains flexible and open, giving me the opportunity to accommodate a variety of pet care needs. If you have specific scheduling requests, I am always happy to discuss options and find a solution that works well for both of us! I believe pets are happiest when they can stay in the comfort of their own home, and my goal is to make your time away as stress free as possible for both you and your pet. I treat every animal with the same patience, kindness, and attention I would want for my own, taking the time to learn their routines, preferences, and unique personalities.I'm a big believer in clear communication and appreciate detailed instructions. The more I know, the better I can provide consistent care and make sure everything is done exactly the way you would do it yourself. I am always happy to double check details, ask thoughtful questions, and go the extra mile to prevent misunderstandings.During each visit, I will care for your home with the same respect and consideration I would my own, keeping everything clean, secure, and just as you left it. You'll receive plenty of updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, loved, and in good hands. Whether your pet wants playtime, cuddles, enrichment, exercise, or simply a calm and comforting presence, I'm committed to providing care that is tailored to their needs.

About: I LOVE dogs and cats! Growing up my family always had big dogs and fluffy cats around the house! I adore dogs of all sizes, but big dogs will always have a special place in my heart. We owned a Rottie/Lab mix, a Great Dane, an English Mastiff, and various Doodle breeds. We also had 3 Ragdoll cats. I currently have 3 Domestic Short and Long haired cats of my own with my fiancé and I love them dearly; but I really miss having a dog around the house. So helping people care for pets on Wag seemed like the perfect way to help me hang with pups! I frequently assist my friends and family with pet sitting, dog walking, and caring for their animals while they are away. Outside of animals, I work for The Department of State as a Legal Assistant and sit for 8 hours a day at a desk. Taking a dog on a nice walk or having a play session with pets sounds like a very pleasant way for me spend my time after sitting in an office all day. I also love to read, cook/bake, do yoga, play video games, and play softball on my women’s community team! I’m currently working a full time office job from 7:30am to 4:00pm, so I can be available on weekdays any time after 4:30pm or early in the morning . I can be available anytime on weekends with enough notice to plan. As much as I would love to help people board their pets, I can’t given the size of my apartment. My home is just for me and my cats :)
“Mikayla is an amazing sitter and set my mind at ease the entire time we were away by sending pics and updates with every visit. When we met her, we could tell she has so much compassion and love for all animals. I feel lucky to have found her and will definitely be booking with her again!”

About: I've been a pet owner for 30 plus years, to include cats and dogs. I have also done pet sitting many times for families in and around Camp Hill, PA. I am currently a proud momma of three amazing furry friends: a 14 year old cat, a 9 year old catahoula leopard doggies, and a very energetic 2 1/2 year old mini golden doodle. All of these animals are rescues. I am currently working a job that ends at 3:30 each week day, and am very flexible with my availability of time over the weekends. I am up very early each morning to let my two dogs out in our backyard, which is fenced in. I also administer medication to our cat at that time, along with feeding all of my pets. All of our pets have free range of our house, but our youngest dog can be crated at times when necessary. I also love taking both of our dogs for walks every night.
“Heather came into a dicey situation, as Daisy was dealing with an upset stomach. Heather jumped into action and cleaned up what she could and helped Daisy maintain her dignity. She's top notch as far as service goes. Always happy to have her help.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Cove
We were able to book Sandy on short notice, to check in our cat while we were gone for three days. We told her not to be alarmed, if she did not see him, because he disappears when there are strangers in the house. Because there was no cat to be seen, Sandy sent us pictures of his empty food dishes. :-) When we arrived home our cat greeted us. Having Sandy was a good experience. We would not hesitate to use her services again. Thank You Sandy...

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cove. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
