About: I am new to Rover, but have several pets that I watch on a regular basis, including my niece and nephew (Cooper and Charlotte). My sister and brother in-law travel frequently, so I often have their two doodles and love to spoil them as my own. I also regularly watch pets for family and friends and volunteer at Cedar Rapids Animal Care & Control. I have experience with high-anxiety and high-energy dogs and can assist with any medication needs. Most of my experience is with dogs, but I love all animals and am happy to help with cats, reptiles, fish or any other exotics you might have- with the proper training and instruction :) Please reach out with any questions or if you’d like to schedule a meet and greet to make sure I’m a good fit. I currently work a full-time job from 7am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday. I work on the SE side of town and live on the SW side. I can offer care in your home or mine. My work schedule is usually pretty flexible, so I may be able to let your pets out over my lunch break depending on needs, availability, and location. I can't guarantee I can do a mid-day check everyday. I have a fenced-in yard for your dog to run and play and also love to take dogs for walks! I can adjust to your pets specific needs and routine.
About: Growing up, my parents ensured I was surrounded by animals as much as possible! We always had dogs growing up. Since I was an out-of-state student in college, I began Rover to be able to connect with pets near me. I now live in Iowa City, as I attend Graduate School at the University of Iowa. My girlfriend and I just adopted a cat, so I am also gaining experience with cats!! I am a graduate student at the University of Iowa studying School Psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis. I work at the UIowa Children’a Hospital Center for Disabilities and Development a couple of days a week- but my hours are flexible. I do have classes all day on Tuesdays, Thursday nights, and Friday mornings. In my home I have a very big backyard where we can go out and play and I have a fenced in patio where we can hang out at outdoors. We can always go inside as well as my house is spacious.
