“Mary Ann is quite simply the best. This was our third time booking her to care for our elderly dog, and she did not disappoint. She creates a thoughtful care plan to cover all possible needs, provides updates while we’re away, and makes sure our canine child is loved in our absence. What more could you ask for?! Will absolutely book her again [and again]!”

“Kathleen is amazing! Molly had a great time. Our dog has seizures and requires multiple meds. She took expert care of our Molly. We will definitely try booking with her again.”

“Tyr had another great stay at Christine’s.. When I drop him off he runs right in without looking back. When I pick him up he greets me excited & comfortable . Happy dog 🐕🦺💕”

“This was our dog's first stay with Alan and Luis and we already booked another visit for this summer. They were so nice, responsive, accommodating and communicative - quick responses, sending updates and photos, etc. Laney seemed in great spirits when we picked her up. We are so happy to have found this lovely place!”

“Donna and her husband were both great. Very thoughtful and generous with Dakota. She has three dogs of her own and they were very well behaved and welcomed Dakota in. Thank you so much!”
“Angela has once again exceeded my expectations caring for my pup, Eleanor. I let her know she had an upset stomach before coming and Angela had chicken with rice ready to go. As always, I received daily pictures and updates of Eleanor with her besties, romping around the big yard. Thank you for opening your home a second time, we'll be back soon!”

“Ashley was very flexible with drop off and pick up times! She sent me photos of the dogs and let me know how they were selling in. My larger dog is easily stressed, but we picked him up and he was completely comfortable! We will definitely be using her for any other dog sitting needs!”

“We feel so lucky to have found Katie! She watched Mac for 3 nights and was incredibly flexible and communicative. She was accommodating of our rather last minute request and returned Mac happy and exhausted. Her house is clean and so well-equipped for a big mischievous puppy like Mac. We will absolutely be booking with her again!”

“We are so grateful for Philippe! He watched our dogs for an extended amount of time and we couldn’t be happier with the service we received and neither could our dogs. Our Goldendoodle was very anxious but due to Philippe dog handling he’s come back much more relaxed and easier to handle. We will continue to use Philippe as long as he’s available snd we highly recommend him to anyone and everyone who wants peace of mind that their dogs will be taken care of with love and care!”

“Peter was such a wonderful sitter. His updates were timely and detailed and I felt confident that Nutmeg was cared for, happy, and healthy during her stay. I will definitely ask Peter to sit again if I’m ever in the area again.”

“Jessica was great at watching Gwen! She was able to accommodate our last-minute request after another sitter cancelled. She was very communicative about Gwen’s stay and sent plenty of photos and updates. She took great care of our little pup!”

“Laura and fam were amazing in every way! So attentive and loving, and great communication! They were also very understanding when we were late! We will definitely book with them again!!”

“My dog had a great time staying with MJ and her family. I wasn’t worried about him while he was with them and they were great at sending photos and keeping me updated. I would definitely book with them again!”

“We Love Caroline! She sent the sweetest update pics and was lovely to work with. Easy communication, good vibes all around. I’ll def be contacting her again for hangs with my pup.”

“Gave Sheinaice a chance with my dog, Gigi, and she absolutely had a blast!!! With Gigi being a GSD, it made me feel even better that she owned one as well. Daily photo and text updates as promised. Will definitely be booking with her again soon!”

“Lora is amazing! Our boy Ash had a great stay at her place. She followed all of our instructions carefully and made sure he was well taken care of. Our boy is reactive to other dogs, Lora assured us she had lots of experience and was able to handle him on walk which put us at ease. She checked in with us daily and sent lots of updates and pictures as requested. Ash spent his days sun bathing in her living room watching hummingbirds and playing with Lora, I’m almost certain he didn’t want to come home because of how much he loves her. Loras home will now be Ash’s second home. Thank you endlessly Lora!”

“Fiona was fantastic! Meet and greet first and got comfortable with the setup. She sent pics and updates as requested and I will be booking with her again soon. I could tell my dog Cal was very comfortable there both during and after.”

“Alexis had a great time! Lots of room to run and play with other dogs. She came home early evening and went right to sleep — slept well into the next morning. A happy pup indeed! We can’t to go back.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Cornwall
I was so glad to have found Mary Ann on Rover to watch our dog Piper for 2 weeks while we were on vacation. On our initial visit with Mary Ann, I knew this was a great fit for Piper. She is such a sweet, caring, knowledgeable woman that I knew would take wonderful care of my dog. This was the first time using Rover as I was not comfortable leaving her in a kennel again for this long as my dog gets very anxious and sad when we are away and my usual in house dog sitter was with us on vacation. Mary Ann lives just 10 minutes from my house with a lovely fenced in side yard for her to go to the bathroom outside and just run around not being on a leash, which is just like home. Also being able to jump on the furniture and the beds was a plus too, again just like home. And she did not have any issues getting too anxious which is what I was hoping for. It was a perfect fit and a great find. I would not hesitate to book with Mary Ann again.

You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Cornwall.

Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
