“We were in town to visit the National Parks and Kendra did an incredible job with our skittish dog. She was able to build trust quickly and get her the exercise she needed. I appreciate her patience and professionalism. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who may be passing through and needing someone trustworthy!”

About: I have a 5 year old German Shepherd named Elza and a 9 year old German Shepherd named Zelda. I also have a horse named Cashmere! I have had animals all my life, I have raised rabbits, kittens, puppies, foals and even chickens! Need even your horse ridden or taken care of? I can do that! I have been riding since I was 5! I promise I'll take care of your dog, cat or farm animal like they're my own. Don't subject your pet to the distress and separation anxiety they experience in kennels. I will make sure your pet feels happy, comforted and loved while you're away. As a stay-at-home mom to a beautiful daughter, incorporating pet care into my daily or weekly routine is both fulfilling and enjoyable. About: I've taken care of dogs for family, friends, and neighbors for 4 years now. I have some experience grooming others' dogs, however mostly my own. They still loved the way their buddy came out and continue to come to me! I enjoy doing this job so I decided to make it more public. Hope I can help many other people and their babies even more! I'm currently working part-time, so my schedule is open and flexible. I don't like to leave pets alone for too long, so for no more than 4 hours. Whether it's just to give them a potty break or to give them the attention they deserve. I have a fenced yard and live in a community with a dog park. How I take care of your babies is up to you. I understand every dog is different and so if their owner! So just let me know what you do for them and I will integrate it into their daily schedule. During the summer, the dogs will be kept inside an air conditioned home. Preferably when no one is home then they will be in a crate, however if they are guaranteed not to chew on personal items or pee inside, then they can roam inside freely. During winter, dogs can be kept outside, but it really depends on the owner's preferences.

About: I’ve taken care of several different breeds of dogs since I was 5yrs old. Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to care for their pets while they are away. I love getting to play with them and go on walks. I am always very careful with animals in general and do my best to go above and beyond for them because there is so much that they can’t fully communicate to us. I have always loved animals and am so thankful that I not only get to enjoy my dog but others as wellz I currently work from home and I am home most of the time. I walk my dog in the morning and once in the evening. We play throughout the day in the backyard. I feed, walk, play, brush, cuddle, pet, play, and love your pet like my own. I know how to bathe most dogs as well as use a dryer to dry them.

About: I’ve been an animal lover since birth and began actively helping care for cats and dogs at age 6. I’ve cared for pregnant stray cats and fostered their newborn kittens to young adulthood and beyond. I’ve both raised and helped train dogs from birth as well as caring for elderly pups. I’ve seen animals at all stages of life and cared for them at all stages of life, both cat and dog. I am active and love to walk so if that’s your dog we’ll get along great! I also love relaxing while drinking tea, reading, or gardening, so if your fur baby is a bit on the calmer side or elderly they’ll get plenty of rest, cuddles, and love. I work part-time but I walk/bike daily and have the majority of my days free to walk, play, and love on sweet fur baby’s. I miss having animals in my home and would love to help you with yours! I have a good size fenced-in backyard and am not too worried about little (or big) paws on my furniture. There's room to play either inside or out, a quiet neighborhood to walk in, and a park a few minutes away. If your companion is crate trained I do have my own crates if that is something you need/are interested in. I have had to care for sick as well as elderly babies, both dogs, and cats, so if your pet needs certain accommodations or extra attention I have some experience in working with those that need a little extra help.
“Aly was a huge help while my wife and I went out of town for two weeks and our 90lb energetic Irish Setter needed to expend some energy while my mother who would have had a difficult time walking him was dog sitting. Thank you for the walks every day! Would easily recommend Aly’s services and will book again!”

About: I’ve taken care of a lot of animals my whole life. As well as worked with an animal chiropractor for 6-7 years. My family works with them so I’ve spent time with all shapes and sizes. Dogs that tend to be shy always warm up to me and I’m always willing to play with them. Some love from a pup can make your day but it can also make theirs. Im in the military and work from 4 pm to 1 am Sunday- Thursday as well as having to be called in at a moments notice and sometimes on the weekend. I live in the barracks so I don’t have animals but love taking care of them and spending time. Back home I would take my dog for runs and walks daily if not every other day. I also played with him a lot.
About: I’ve been dog sitting & providing services for over 10 years now! For 5+ years I’ve dog sat Gracie the pit bull (see photos) as her father is always traveling for work for extended periods of time prior to coming back to this platform. I would dog sit on multiple occasions for weeks or months at a time, therefore I'm comfortable working extended periods of time with multiple animals. I treat every animal as if they were my own so I understand on a personal note how sentimental they mean to their owners! I pride myself in my patience & professionalism. I carry myself with a lot of compassion & empathy however, which is why I wanted to begin working & applying more of my time with animals again! Complete availability Monday through Friday, I’m open between 7:30am-10:30pm for any doggie daycare needs, dog walking or drop ins! Very easy going & willing to do weekends for repeated clients! ❤️ I currently have a huge fenced backyard & will always make sure they’re monitored. I love to be present with every animal I watch so I always ensure the doggies are safe while they’re playing or resting. I’ll never leave them unattended!
“Nancy is such a caring and polite professional. She is great with communication and will make sure she makes you and your little furling comfortable and happy. She’s prompt with timing. If a requested time doesn’t work out, she’ll reach out beforehand reach an agreement. There were many times I changed times on her last minute and she was very flexible with me, thankfully! My little fur baby LOVES her. Once I came home as Nancy came to walk kiwi and kiwi was so excited to see her and jumping with joy. I know my dog is in great hands with her!!! I’ve booked Nancy while being out of town for a prolonged period and for days I’m stuck at work late. I’ve had another 5-star rated Rover walker before Nancy and she was persistently 1-2 hours late! I’m so grateful I found her and you will be too!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
