“Quia is excellent in how she handled Snacks, a 95 lb Akita with a lot of energy. She took charge right away and calmed him down. A true professional. Thank you so much, you are the BEST! Andrea McCartney (MsAMac)”

About: Hi! Thanks for looking at my profile. I’m Karah. I first began pet/house sitting when I was living in Ecuador in 2012. I am well practiced with dogs of all sizes, cats of many temperaments, and critters ranging from fishes to bearded dragons. I am currently working part time at a craft store. As such I can be with your critters for most of the day. Everyone will be well looked after and let out, walked, given specific care, et al. Quite frequently. I am not able to keep pets in my own home. I have my own two dogs and a cat who claims his own space.
About: What sets me apart is my patience, flexibility, and genuine love for animals. I understand that pets, like people, need time to warm up, so I always work on their schedule — not mine. As a mom of two college students, caring for pets fills my heart and time with purpose. I’m dependable, respectful of your home, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure every pet feels safe, loved, and understood. As a flexible part-time worker, I don’t mind driving or going the extra mile to make sure your home and pets are cared for like family I care for pets by following their normal routines as closely as possible. Whether in my home or yours, I provide a calm, loving environment where pets feel comfortable and secure. I take time to earn their trust, give them space when needed, and show affection when they’re ready. I handle feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions with care and attention to detail—just as I would for my own pets. My goal is to keep them happy, healthy, and stress-free while you’re away.
“Sarah went above and beyond and notified me of a leak in my kitchen when she came to walk my dog. Without her prompt attention the water would’ve continued flowing for several more hours!”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and grew up caring for them daily. I’ve raised a puppy and currently have a well-trained dog of my own. I’m comfortable with dogs of all ages and personalities, from energetic puppies to calm seniors. I’m attentive, patient, and genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs, making sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for. In a client’s home, I respect their space, maintain cleanliness, and make sure pets are comfortable, secure, and cared for the entire time.
About: I'm a lifelong dog lover with years of experience caring for friends’ and family members’ pups of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. I’ve looked after everything from 14-week-old puppies to senior rescues. I’ve also worked with dogs who need medication, have special needs like blindness or anxiety, or just have tons of energy to burn. I approach every dog with patience, compassion, and personalized care — as if they were my own. As a full-time student with a light class schedule — just a few hours in the evenings Monday through Thursday — I’m available nearly all day, every day. This flexibility allows me to provide consistent care, timely check-ins, and plenty of attention for your pup throughout the day. When boarding dogs in my home, I provide a peaceful, dog-friendly space where your pup can relax and feel at ease. I have a fully fenced backyard for safe outdoor time and live in a quiet, walkable neighborhood that's perfect for regular walks and sniff breaks. I create a calm, safe environment for each dog, keep communication open with regular updates, and do everything I can to make sure both you and your pup feel secure and supported.

About: Fortunately, I was born into an animal loving family so I was blessed to have and care for animals of all kinds. Includes but not limited too: hermit crabs, gerbils, fish and more. Since birth I’ve been fascinated about learning how to care for all animals especially mammals/dogs. I truly believe that dogs are a humans best friend and I’ve been potty training, house training, walk training and more since having my first fur baby Tyra (full blooded German Sheppard) at the age of 12 who just passed this last year. I’ve been rescuing animals since I can remember and I’ve been volunteering at shelters and in the community since middle school. Pets are truly my passion & I believe in caring for those who are sometimes unable to care for themselves. If God grants me the opportunity, I would be more than honored and grateful to care for your fur baby as well. Thank you for your time & consideration. Fortunately, I was blessed with a work from home job so I can give most of my time, attention & affection to the fur babies I need. With my own fur baby and when I baby sit others we stick to our schedule and routine throughout the day so they can be physically enriched and mentally stimulated; such as but not limited too 4-6 times of walking, a kiddie pool on hotter days, fruit and or peanut butter treats, new toys and more depending on the specific needs of your fur babies. Thank you for your time & consideration. Regardless of the environment pets are my passion and I will treat your fur babies like my own. Depending on the specific needs I’ll be more than happy to provide extra play time, extra treats or toys depending on trainings such as potty training or walk training so your pup no longer pulls you while you walk. I also don’t mind providing bath time, medications or even taking your pup to the vet or their favorite park for a pup play date. Lastly, I will be sure to provide hourly and or daily checkups so you can relax, unwind and have peace of mind knowing your fur baby is safe, happy and is in blessed and gentle hands. Thank you for your time & consideration.
About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 10 years, but honestly, it started way before that with my childhood sidekick: a stubborn little Scottish Terrier who ran the house. Since then, I’ve had experience with all kinds of pups—zoomie machines, cuddle bugs, picky eaters, and even dramatic divas. Whether your dog wants a new best friend or just someone to toss treats on command, I’ve got them covered. Safe, fun, and belly-rub approved! My current availability is weekdays from 8:30 AM to 4 PM for Drop-ins and I’m available all day on weekends. I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give pets the care and attention they need throughout the week. Your dog will be in a calm, pet-free home with lots of love and supervision. I keep things safe, clean, and comfy, and I’m happy to follow any specific routines or crate your dog if that’s what they’re used to. Their comfort and safety are always my top priority!
“Maxwell is great! He’s always on time and goes above and beyond every visit. It’s a huge relief knowing Maxwell takes such good care of my dog while I’m stuck at work. I couldn’t recommend him more.”

About: I love all breeds of dogs. I used to walk my neighbors doggies for fun when I was little. I've house sat for many friends with animals & plants for long periods of time. I've raised many puppies in my life time. I have two of my own that are now 2 and 5. They're everything to me. There's absolutely no better feeling than hearing the pitter patter of their feet on the floor as they're coming to attack me with love and kisses. I've never been without at least one dog in my household as long as I've been alive and I wouldn't have it any other way. I've also played sports my whole life so I love being active and playing games with the pups. I'm currently working part time so my availability is pretty open for the most part right now. I'm mainly unavailable after 4pm on Tuesdays and Fridays. I have two full sized crates at my home and a fenced in back patio with great sun for sunbathing. If I'm in your home, I'll respect your home as if it were mine & make sure the babies get soo much lot of love and attention. Picture/ video updates as often as you'd like. ❤️

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
