“This is the first time we used a Rover sitter. I am sold! Connie took care of our big Golden Retreaver for two weeks. My dog came home happy and very well cared for. Thanks for taking such good care of our baby!”

“We couldn’t be happier with the care our two puppies received from Amber! From the moment we met her we knew they were in great hands. She gave them plenty of attention, playtime, and care while we were away. We received regular updates and photos, which gave us complete peace of mind. It was clear that our puppies were happy, comfortable, and well cared for the entire time. We came home to two healthy & happy pups! If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, reliable, and genuinely passionate about animals, we highly recommend Amber. We will definitely be using her services again!”

“Chris has alway been amazing!!! Great communication and flexibility. This is our third or fourth time booking and it won’t be our last!!! Thank you so much for always taking good care of Gunner!!!”

“Meredith is an angel with our sweet pup! She kept him for the duration of our cruise, and updated us with several pictures and a video. She was able to cater to our specific feeding needs, as well as administering medication. We are so lucky to have a puppysitter that treats him with such love and care.”

“Linda and her family were great! I loved that she sent videos and pictures throughout the day. My Yorkie, Titan, was very happy and well taken care of during his stay. I would highly recommend using Linda and look forward to using her again in the future.”

“Ingrid was amazing! I took a chance in contacting her for a last minute sit for our fur baby and she was very accommodating! Received updates and pictures and our fur baby was so comfortable. So glad that Ingrid’s kids loved our baby and were especially helpful in her care too! Warm loving home for your fur babies? Definitely will reach out again.”

“Shadow had thee best time staying with Seyla! I was able to really enjoy my trip knowing my dog was in great hands and being kept abreast of the walks and feedings definitely gave me peace of mind. Shadow got to socialize with other dogs and got plenty of daily exercise! Because he was walked in the woods and forest, he did bring home about 5 or 6 ticks but I will get him on a preventative in hopes that it will help for future visits with Seyla. As a fellow dog sitter/walker myself, I highly recommend Seyla and will definitely be booking with him again in the future!!!”

“Spartacus enjoyed his stay with Rebecca! My flight was delayed and she allowed Spartacus to stay an extra day! Spartacus didnt want to leave and I could tell he really enjoyed himself! Rebecca has the absolute best environment for your dog and I highly recommend leaving your pet with her!!”

“We couldn't ask for a better person to board our dog. Morgan is the best, he sent us updates and photos through out the boarding week. Our dog was clearly loved and received excellent care. We highly recommend Morgan to any dog owner looking for a trustworthy and loving place for their furry friend!”

“Christie was great - kept us informed, sent us videos and took plenty of time to get to know our doodle puppy and gave her plenty of exercise and love. Also, when a massive rainstorm hit just before pickup, she gave us some extra time to get which was greatly appreciated. She is caring and offered suggestions about diet and treats and worked with her on her first nite getting to sleep in a strange place. Her large doodle ended up being a great play buddy outside. We will use her again for sure.”

“Mr Warren and his wife Ashley did such a wonderful job keeping Mini Trix. They were my saviors over the Mother's day weekend, as I'd chosen someone to watch Mini Trix, but once they were paid they wouldn't respond. I quickly canceled and chose Mr Warren. Mr Warren and his wife are very experienced with dogs. They were patient with Mini Trix and helped him become comfortable with two other dogs they had. I felt confident they were going to do a great job. I was right!”

“Erin was great with Lucky! She provided a clean, safe, and happy environment for him. She kept me updated via pictures and text messages. She made me feel very comfortable about selecting her to care for lucky during my time away. I will definitely be requesting her again in the future. Thanks Erin!”
“Mozey loved Tahliyah! She is great with dogs and very communicative. She sent photo and video updates every few hours, which we appreciated. We will definitely be working with her again in the future!”

“Duke was very happy after his weekend with Vanessa and Geoffrey. Their setup is amazing and I got several updates and pictures while away from my fur baby.”

I have to say Heather more than provided a replacement......she excelled beyond my expectations!I can not say enough how having Heather's services gave me peace of mind while I was away.I really appreciate the emails and photo updates during my trip.I find her very knowledgeable and passionate about what she does. She's fantastic!!! If you are looking for someone to care for your furry friend/s, DO NOT LOOK ANY FURTHER, you have found the right lady!!!! Love, Ella & Family”

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
95% of sitters in Comorn can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Comorn home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Comorn.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
