“Larissa is so sweet and accommodating her and her husband always takes such good care of all our pups. My boyfriend even has a bad hip and is slow to get out of the car so they come out to the car and help get the dogs so he doesn’t have to struggle. They know what family is like and they treat you as such the pups were always joyful We fed and loved when they come home.”

“We've had Connie for well over a year and half and each and ever time her care of our pups is outstanding. Our pups have so much fun they come home to enjoy relaxation. Well taken care of just like home! Thanks Connie for your caring nature and for loving what you do!”

“Sarah was a wonderful fit for our new fur baby Brinx! Brinx is only 7 weeks old and Sarah treated him as her own! She updated me and sent me pictures of their time together. As a new puppy owner she was kind enough to give me so many pointers when training my little guy. This was my first time using Rover app and i am so happy to have experienced Sarah. She made me feel comfortable and reassured me everything was okay. Highly recommend! I know Brinx can’t wait for our family vacation in June so he can go back and see his second family now!”

“Amber is absolutely amazing. She sends updates with video and pictures throughout the day so you know your fury friend is safe, happy and well taken care of. I never have to worry about my pup when I’m away. I highly recommend!!”

“This was our first time boarding our baby Zoey and everything was perfect! Megan communicated with me and sent me pictures and videos everyday while we were away. I am very pleased with her services and will rebook with her again!”

“This is the first time we have used Rover. We have a large, energetic mastiff puppy that also has a health condition and needs a special diet and meds. We can’t say enough about Laurie and how good our experience was! She had great communication and sent us a lot of pictures, videos and updates throughout his stay. We wouldn’t hesitate to use Laurie again and highly recommend her! Thanks Laurie for a wonderful first experience with Rover!”

“5 stars! We were so lucky to find Heather! Our sweet doggy didn’t have a worry in the world because she was so well cared for! Heather and her crew are a blessing!”

“Christopher was pleasant to work with through scheduling and boarding. He was flexible and met my needs well even though they were a bit complicated. During my pet’s stay he sent photos and updated me on her well being. Overall great sitter! :)”

“I’m so grateful for the amazing care my dog received. They took such wonderful care of him and kept me updated with photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. It’s clear how much love and attention they give to the pets they care for. I was absolutely delighted with the experience and would trust them again without hesitation. Thank you for treating my furry baby like family!”

“Hannah did an amazing job with our fur baby! She communicated well and sent us a lot of pictures. This was our first “boarding” our dog since we’ve had him the past 5 years. Hannah made sure to send lots of pictures and he definitely appeared to be having fun and was well taken care of. We can’t thank Hannah enough for making sure our fur baby was happy and safe while in her care. We would definitely use her again.”

“Rebeca and Roman were an exemplary example of providing great service. In my experience with them, they were warm and caring about my pup. They sent photos of my girl was doing everyday and were very speedy when it came to responding back to a text, call, or adjustment with scheduling. I plan to utilize their services in the future.”

“Charlotte is absolutely amazing!!! She really helped us out with our two rambunctious 3 1/2 month old puppies when a family member was no longer able to watch the pups just days before our trip. With less than a week Charlotte was able to schedule an and meet and greet and add get us on her schedule. We were really in a jam and appreciate her so much. Charlotte has a lot of experience and with her background I felt very comfortable leaving our little ones in her care. Charlotte provided multiple daily updates and photos. Our girls had a wonderful time! We will definitely be using her again in the future!”

“They were wonderful with my sweet Minerva! I got regular updates on how she was doing and they were so very kind. After an unexpected extra day of being gone, they even kept her an extra day happily. There was the cutest outside and inside area the pups had free access to. It wasn't like a kennel where she was cooped up all day. She had play time and fun with the other pups. She didn't even want to leave. As we were leaving, she kept pulling on her leash back to Brooke. This is a dog who doesn't pull on leash without being exceptionally sure of what she wants. I would recommend them to absolutely anyone. They also allow you to see the area the pups are kept before you book which was great!”

“Excellent! Sabine was very easy to work with and gave multiple updates each day. Our little pup ate well there and was happy when she came back home, which are all signs that her care was very good. Would highly recommend.”

“Tracey took very good care of our sweet pea she called her diva and that name is so fitting. She is so kind, sweet and very knowledgeable of pet care. When I ever go out of town I will always want her to take care of my furry family. I recommend Tracey to any one that needs boarding pet care, you will love her too!”

“Audree took good care of Rueben and he loved it there with the other dogs also. You could tell he was really in his element. She shared videos and pictures and kept us updated with him!”

“Left my cats for a few days and she kept an eye on them while I was gone. She was very communicative, she made me feel comfortable. My shy unfriendly cat was very happy an open to her coming around. It made me happy to see them happy. THANK YOU Victoria”

“Jessica was wonderful, easy to work with, and took good care of our cat during a drop in visit. She left detailed notes of her visit and several adorable photos.”

“Sydney did a fantastic job cat sitting Draco for 10 days. Always kept me updated on schedule changes and did everything asked. Had a stress free vacation because of it!”

About: I am an avid animal lover of all kinds and have in the more recent years been able to care for feline only families and have gotten quite used to their care. I have plenty of references on cats of all ages, litter boxes of all kinds, feeding time with both raw and kibble, cats that need to be seperated or are fine playing together. Diabetic kitties. You name it. I’ve handled it.

“Holly is absolutely great with my cat, and I feel much better knowing she is caring for her. Highly recommend her to anyone who wants the absolute best care for their pet.”

“Working with Amber was a snap. She responded quickly to a last minute request, was up front when a schedule change was needed, and helped look in on my cat even when the weather was terrible.”

“Exceptional Pet Sitter! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amanda was absolutely wonderful! From the very beginning, she was incredibly sweet, helpful, and highly responsive. Her communication was perfect throughout the entire stay—she kept me constantly updated, asked great questions to ensure Winnie had everything she needed, and went above and beyond by asking if there was anything else she could help with around the house. The photos she sent on a regular basis brought so much peace of mind. It’s clear she truly cares about the animals she watches. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and I will absolutely be booking with her again. Thank you, Amanda! Highly recommended!”

“Elizabeth is an amazing Rover! She cared for our senior cat and provided compassionate care. She was very responsible and followed all instructions perfectly. She sent us daily photos and updates. We came home to a very happy cat and everything was left neat and orderly. We appreciate you Elizabeth! Thank you so much! 🐈”

About: I’ve taken care of cats in the past that are a bit skittish and weary of strangers but, with time and patience, grew to like me and be friendly. I have a cat as well who can be sassy at times but very affectionate other times. I’ve learned his body language of when he wants to be loved on and when he wants personal space.
“TOP ENDORSEMENT: Pet care is Kimberly's career. This dedication & training are evident in her professional in-person demeanor and ease with animals. Kimberly sat my two male, semi-feral cats for a week and I couldn't be happier with her care. Food, water, and litterbox cleaning was EXACTLY as I asked. The aloof, don't-touch-me cat now adores her. She was even kind enough to water my money tree and stack my mail. Her expertise and depth of experience enabled me to travel completely WORRY FREE. Highly recommend!”

About: Hi there! My name is Sam and I have experience sitting for all types of animals. From cuddly Pyrenees, and scary-smart German pinschers, to spunky chinchillas, their best cat friends, and curious pythons. I have been through partial behavioral training for dogs (and their humans), and have experience with animal hospice situations, as well as behaviorally aggressive dogs. I prefer to keep the animal's care as consistent as possible. The more details you have of your preferred method of walking, reward, or preparation habits, the better. Trust and care are my number one goals when it comes to animal sitting. Not just with the four legged babies, but with the parents as well. I know how important it is to feel comfortable with your care provider, and what a treat it is to know that you can trust someone with the care of your loved ones. Also, aren't dogs just perfect? I work for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and am currently on telework, so my weekly availability is early morning, and late afternoon. I also volunteer at the Old Dominion Humaine Society and occasionally foster for them at my house. I have one <1 year old puppy, and I have a home with a large yard but no fence. That means all foster dogs get leash walked always and there are many mind teaser toys for rainy days. I feed in crates and make it a safe space for them to decompress.
“Melissa was just what we needed to cover our cat while we went on a trip! She was so sweet, kept us updated, and kept our kitty entertained while we were away! I would definitely recommend Melissa to any others looking for help with their pets!”

About: I treat every pet like family and tailor my care to their unique needs. Whether it’s patiently helping a puppy learn routines, giving extra love and support to senior pets, or just making sure your furry friend feels safe and happy while you're away—I’m here for it all. I have hands-on experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, including senior pets who need gentler care and dogs who require medication. I’m also comfortable with basic training and reinforcing good habits for puppies. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are my top priorities. I take the time to understand their personality, routines, and quirks, so you can relax knowing they’re in good hands. Pet care is a meaningful part of my daily life, and I’ve structured my routine to make sure your pet gets the attention they deserve. I work full-time during the week, but I’m fortunate to live close to my job, which allows me to come home on my lunch break for walks, potty breaks, or a little mid-day playtime. My weekends are completely free, giving me plenty of time for longer visits, overnights, or extended care. Whether it’s weekday check-ins or weekend companionship, I’m committed to keeping your pet happy, safe, and loved. Whether I’m caring for pets in your home or mine, I focus on providing a safe, loving, and low-stress environment tailored to each pet’s individual needs. In Your Home: I follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible—mealtimes, walks, play, medications, and anything else that helps them feel comfortable and cared for. I treat your home with respect and keep you updated with messages and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. In My Home: I offer a quiet, pet-friendly space with plenty of attention, affection, and time outdoors (for dogs). I do have one friendly cat who is both indoor and outdoor, so I always ensure any visiting pets are comfortable and safely introduced, if needed. I also limit the number of pets I care for at a time to ensure each one gets plenty of individual attention. No matter the setting, your pet’s well-being and happiness are my top priorities.

About: My first cat was named Jasper. He was a tiger stripe American shorthair with Jasper colored eyes (hence his name). He was a stray we took in, and we noticed he had a slight limp. After a visit to the vet, and some x-rays were taken, it was clear his left hip had been injured when he was younger (vet approximated his age to be 10 at the time). I cared for him while he had his cone, after his leg was amputated (poor guy!), ensuring he received the proper medications on time. My second cat was an all-black stray (not sure his breed), but I named him Kuro. I had him for a year and some change and gave him to my friend after moving to a pet-free community. I missed having a cat, so I searched and found Naruto, who was only 10 days old, and I adopted him on the spot! I've taught him all his little quirks, including back-talking lol! I trained him to come at the sound of a particular whistle, to jump up on something after I tap, or scrape it in a certain pattern, and taught him to play fetch! I am able to administer medications Intravenous, or Sub-q, as well as advise on best care practices!
About: As an avid, pet lover I will take care of your pets, as if they were my own. I love cats and dogs and other small little creatures. Currently right now I have a pretty flexible schedule working from home so I have an ability to take care of your pets during the day. I will make sure your pets are safe in my care. When we go for walks I will always have them leashed and protect them from other animals.

“Larissa is SUPER responsive and our dear puppy absolutely adores hanging out with her and her pups! You can always tell he has a WONDERFUL time because he comes home worn out! We are soooo happy that we found Larissa!”

“They are amazing! I’ve never trusted anyone more with my dog. They treated my dog like he was their own and it made me feel so comfortable leaving him there. They were very flexible and I loved them!!”

“We are so very happy to come across Audree! She is a wonderful person, super nice and accommodating! We left our fur baby with her for day care as a meet and greet to see how they both took to each other. During his stay Audree was very communicative, send us pictures and videos. She also was engaging- asking questions about our fur baby making sure she knew all details about Boomer. We loved that. Boomer was happy at Audree’s and came back exhausted. Thank you for taking good care of Boomer and being such a good listener! See you in July!”

About: Hi there! I’m a caring and reliable dog sitter who truly enjoys getting to know each dog’s unique personality. I have experience with all kinds of dogs, including those who are shy or anxious, and I always take a calm, patient approach so they can feel safe and comfortable at their own pace. With anxious dogs especially, I focus on creating a gentle, low-pressure environment by slow introductions, calm energy, and routines that help build trust over time. I pay close attention to body language and adjust to whatever each dog needs in the moment, whether that’s space, reassurance, or a quiet walk. I also make sure to follow all care instructions closely and keep you updated with messages and photos so you always know how your pup is doing. My goal is to be someone you and your dog feel completely comfortable with, like a trusted friend who shows up and cares every time. All dogs need to be current on their vaccinations (including bordatella) and flea/tick preventative. Please provide a screenshot of their most recent shots through the Rover app. I currently do NOT take more than 1 pup at a time unless the client requesting themselves has 2 pups that need taking care of! PLEASE NOTE: If you plan on booking for extended stay, our price is $40 a night for 5 days. I'm currently not employed so your pet will be attended to at all day! Any accommodation you need for them, I can surely provide at any time. I have a fenced yard and currently no other pets in the house, meaning your pet will have 100% of our time and attention so they don't feel out of place!
“My dog Gigi loves it at Seyla’s place! While I’m at work I look forward to the videos of the walks and to just see how she is spending her day. The videos make my day knowing she is having a good time.”

“My dog and I just moved to a new area so I was anxious about finding someone to watch him while we get settled. Jennifer and Justin were so kind and sent me plenty of photos throughout the day. They even very kindly washed his bowl after he ate his food. My dog had an amazing time and I would trust them to watch him again”

“Vanessa and Geoffrey were so kind and professional with the initial meet and greet for doggy daycare. They sent lots of updates and pictures to put my mind at ease. This was our first in-home dog care experience, and we will definitely be back!”

“Ligia did a good job caring for my two dogs in their doggie day care stay. Does a good job of slowly introducing new dogs to each other and respecting if certain dogs don't want to play with others. Her house and yard are set up in a way that allows her to separate animals, if needed. She communicated well with me and was available at the agreed upon times. We will be booking with her again in the future.”

“Zorra and Theodore were SOOOOOO happy with their stay with Jorge's family! We received several pictures. We appreciated how they made our dog care request work out with their busy schedule! Next time we travel to Stafford, we will definitely request Jorge's family.”

I am currently working on installing a fence, so for now I can do leash walks to keep everyone safe, or supervised play for small puppies since we are acres from the road. “Melissa was great at taking care of Dasher Ron short notice. She communicated with me throughout the day and sent pictures. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter!”

“Tiffany was an absolute delight to book with!! From the very beginning, she was very prompt in her responses and answered any questions that I had. I am a newer dog mom, so she put me at ease due to her kindness and professionalism. She was very flexible with drop-off/pickup times, which I know can be tough for most. That was a huge plus! She also communicated throughout the day with updates and cute photos of my fur baby so I knew he was safe and well taken care of. If I could, I would give her 10/5 stars! I definitely plan to book with her again in the near future! Thanks again Tiffany!”

“I was so happy to find this sitter! We just adopted a rescue dog. He has a lot of anxiety. He needs special care while he is adjusting to his new home. Because of his anxiety he needs a low stimulation environment. She has been so good working with my dogs special needs! I can’t say enough good about her!! We are so grateful for the care she has given our dog!!”

She was very polite and professional as well as providing plenty of pictures and updates throughout the day. Our dogs had no problem warming up to her and she was extremely patient with our special needs and overly excitable pups!”

About: Hi! Taking care of animals has always been an enjoyment of mine. From helping lost or hurt animals to watching over pets, I'm always willing to take care of any animal. I regularly take care of stray cats and even took in a young pregnant one who needed the help. This resulted in me now having a bunch of kitties, they are all such sweethearts with their own personalities that I can't imagine life without them! I've also been dog sitting on and off for my neighbors and friends since I was 15, I have been the go to pet sitter for many in my circle these last few years. I pay special attention to their needs and make sure to follow any specific instructions given. I am more familiar with taking care of cats and dogs but I am open to looking after any animal! I adore all kinds As of right now I do work, my work schedule is slightly different each week, so a little flexibility might be needed to figure out the perfect time range for me to drop by and check on your pet!! I care for pets in my clients home by following any instructions given when it comes to the pets needs. I stay with them for as long as I can, giving them utmost attention and play time. I feed them on schedule and I am also able to give any oral medications as needed. I will do my very best to make sure your pet is happy and feels loved while you are away!
“Kimberly was great with Chase as always! She's great at communicating with us, both when things are going great and when things come up and some flexibility is needed. Her concern for Chase is the first priority and we really appreciate that. Highly recommend!”

About: I love all animals and enjoys their company. I'd love to take care of your dog(s) and cats while you're away, so you don't have to worry. When I'm not traveling, I work from home full time, so animals will have plenty of attention and go outside pretty frequently. I have a large yard on rural property and there's a dirt road to get in a several walks. Your dog will have supervised and/or leashed access to the outdoors. There's a lot of room to run. I have had experience handling medications for animals for several years, as my cocker spaniel took medications for glaucoma and congestive heart failure. You can trust that your pup will be spoiled here, like one of my very own. :) I am currently home full time but job hunting so animals have care 24/7. Hoping to find remote work but if this changes I will update here. My animals are friendly with all dogs. I keep all dogs leashes while outdoors. We make sure all doors are closed and all food and poison items are not within reach
“Holly is exceptional. She provides Lennon with great care even though he is a nervous chicken. She treats him with so much care. She is always punctual, patient, and provides Lennon with much needed exercise and mental stimulation. Lennon and I are grateful.”

About: I have always had a soft spot for animals. I began working in the medical field but once I became a stay at home mom I realized something was missing.. my heart was in the place to care for animals instead. When my youngest was just under 2 I started taking on small dog walking jobs to get us out of the house during Covid and enjoying some fresh air and I really just fell in love with it. I have my own "misfit farm" of unwanted animals and in my down time I am taking on dog walking/pet sitting. I am knowledgeable in many animals including dogs, cats birds, small animals, exotics and farm animals. I currently own a Great Pyrenees, two cane corsos, beagle and we recently lost our mini dachshund, a cat plus 3 rescue goats, bunnies and a ton of chickens. I can also help with basic training and using an E collar. Medications or special needs animals is also something I am comfortable with. I do have kids who love to go on walks with me when I am dog walking, but it is not necessary for them to come with . My dog sitting calendar is filling up quickly! At this moment I am boarding dogs on a case by case basis so just reach out and we can chat! I am available for house sitting, however cannot accommodate regular overnight stays but can accommodate frequent and lengthy visits. I am a mom to 3, but am pretty much open and available for your needs. Hanging out with animals is a strong passion of mine and I often use the extra cash to do things with my kids. I cannot accommodate overnights in my house sitting but can offer lengthy and frequent visits I am available for walking, feeding, caring, loving and walking your babies of whatever species and breed. I am extremely responsible and comfortable with administering medication if need be and am very cautious when it comes to walking or letting the animal outside or when it comes to rules you have for your pet. There is very little I wouldn't be able to do, so little I can't even think of one at the moment. You can trust that I will love and care for your animals like they were my own. I can even show you pictures and videos of my very spoiled pets for reference!

About: I’ve been around dogs and cats all my life and have always had pets since I was a kid. I’m really friendly with my friends’ pets and sometimes I’m more excited to see their pets than them😂. I’ve watched over some of my friends’ pets from time to time (cats and dogs). I have experience with both small dogs and large dogs as my one dog is a miniature dachshund, and my other is a Great Dane/German Shepherd Mix. I’m home from college so I’m free most of the day to care for pets whether it’s a walk, visit, to play, etc. I will be moving back to Richmond for college August 15th! I have family at home to watch my own pets so I can stop by and visit whenever if it’s at a reasonable time. I’m fairly perceptive of pet moods and, especially with cats, can tell when pets wanna be left alone or want to play. My pets all have different personalities so I can adapt fairly well to different personalities. I let pets out regularly and am down to play if they’re bored.
About: Hi! I’m home for the summer and excited to spend time doing something I love, caring for animals. I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life, and I recently lost my own, which reminded me just how much animals mean to me. While I don’t have time for a full-time pet right now, I still stay involved by volunteering every week at a local animal shelter and helping care for the cat I live with at school. I also worked as a vet assistant for a year, so I’m experienced with pets of all ages and temperaments. Whether it’s dogs, cats, or anything in between, I’ll treat your pet with the same love and care I gave my own. I’m currently taking an online summer course with a very flexible schedule, so I’m available throughout the summer for pet sitting, dog walking, and drop-in visits. Since I’m not working right now, I have plenty of time to give your pet the attention and care they deserve. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or overnight stays, I’m happy to help however I can! In your home, I follow your pet’s routine closely, feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions, so they stay comfortable and happy while you’re away. I make sure they get plenty of attention and care!
About: I'm a dependable, compassionate animal lover who knows that every pet deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their family is away. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I don't take that responsibility lightly. Whether your pet loves long walks, playing fetch, getting belly rubs, or simply relaxing with someone nearby, I'll make sure they receive the care and attention they're used to. I'll follow your pet's routine closely, provide plenty of love and patience, and keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you're away. My goal is to make your pet feel happy, cared for, and stress-free, while making your time away as worry-free as possible. I would be honored to care for your pets and treat them like they're part of my own family! I’m currently in school for my bachelors in psychology, I have a pretty flexible schedule within the time I’m not doing school work. I will take the best care of your furry friend in your home while you're away on vacation or work trips with love and reliability.

“Paprika had another wonderful stay with Sonja & Phil! She absolutely loves them and they always give us such a peace of mind when our dog stays with them.”

“We thought we were going on vacation - nope, our dogs had the vacation of their lives!!! They love Mary and she clearly loves animals. Our beagle actually moped on the ride home 😂🤣”
“Jim did a great job watching my dog while I was on vacation. In addition to giving her all of his attention , he took her on many walks and sent pictures of her throughout each day. We are repeat customers and will definitely use Jim’s services again!”

“Cadence was awesome! Not only was she available for a short-notice request, but she took great care of my Zoe and kept us updated with photos and notes on how she was doing. Zoe is usually a bit nervous in new environments so it is really comforting to get updates on how she is doing.”

“Sake returned back for another trailblazing/boarding adventure with Seyla. While the rest of the family went away for the last summer vacation of the season, Sake had a blast at boarding! I saw continuous photos/videos and evidence of her loving her hikes, swims, playtime, naps, food feasts (she had no leftovers in her food bowl), naps, being free to roam in the backyard at the Trailblazing Homestead. It is never a dull moment for Sake. I am afraid Sake had a better time at boarding then we did on vacation.”
