“Angie and her family are wonderful with my pup Boone. He’s always worn out when I pick him up, which I appreciate greatly! Will definitely be using her as my go to as long as she’ll take us!!”

About: I have experience caring for pets with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. I’m comfortable with walks, feeding, playtime, potty breaks, and providing plenty of love, attention, and companionship. I work full time at the moment but I am looking to do this full time so that I can go to dental assisting school. I myself have a fenced in yard, but I am comfortable with non yard homes, walking dogs, going to a dog park, groomers, providing medicine and cuddles.
“Samuel loves going to see Rosemarie. He runs straight up to the door in the morning. I know he's being left in good hands. Rosemarie always communicates several times a day by sending pictures and giving me updates on how the day is going. Reliability is a huge thing for me and I never have to worry. When we book with her, she always comes through. She also communicates clearly what her availability is and keeps me updated on future dates she may not be available. I appreciate her so much. If you need a sitter that your animal will love and you can feel more than comfortable leaving them with, Rosemarie is the one!!”

“I was so pleased with the services provided by Amber while watching my little one. She interacted with her wonderfully and gave her lots and lots of attention. Amber kept me updated with pictures and messages and I feel truly comfortable with leaving my dog with her, and I look forward to the next opportunity.”

“Kathie is very attentive and will treat your dog with care and compassion. I appreciate Kathie sending me updates throughout the day to put my mind at ease. I highly recommend!”

“Nicole is an excellent caring host. She has a wonderful large grassy backyard with a big tree providing shade and has a pack of nice regulars that are all easygoing . Overall it was an excellent experience for Cookie.”

“Karla is hands-down the best dog sitter I’ve ever experienced. Her love for dogs is immediately clear in everything she does. She has a spacious backyard that gives the dogs plenty of room to run and play, and her home is always clean, well-kept, and welcoming. What I appreciate most is how she allows dogs be themselves while ensuring a safe, well-managed environment. She pays close attention to group dynamics, making sure all the dogs interact well and play safely. I felt completely at ease leaving Bruno in her care, and that peace of mind is priceless. I would book with Karla again and again without hesitation. Highly recommend!”

“Michelle was fantastic! Reached out on short notice & she happily watched my pup. She was very responsive the whole day, sending pictures and videos with updates. Tucker had a great time, I will certainly be a returning client! Highly suggest to anyone looking for a sitter!”

“Thank you for taking care of our pup and the daily updates. Chad and Cara were great communicating with us regarding Buddys stay and meeting his daily medication needs. Seemed like they had an easier time/merhod of giving Buddy his med than we did. Could not be thankful enough!!”

About: The first dog I ever met was a stray my family found in the winter—she was trying to stay warm under my dad’s truck. We had just returned from cutting wood and happened upon her all curled up and shivering. I begged my parents to keep her and am grateful they did! We named her Maddie and it was through caring for her that I learned how to properly love, train and take care of animals. I knew early on that I wanted pet-sitting to be a big part of my life. As a kid, I became the neighborhood dog walker and pet-sitter. Friends, family and neighbors would hire me for my services, sometimes for months at a time while they were away! I have been pet-sitting as an adult for awhile now and have helped keep over 30 dogs happy and healthy through house-sitting and walking while their owners were away! A little about me: I’m a student-athlete at Ohio Dominican University, where I study and run track. Being a student athlete for much of my life has taught me how to manage my time and has also instilled in me hardworking values. These are transferable skills that definitely help me manage my pet-sitting business and if you asked one of my clients, I’m sure they would agree that I am kind, caring, professional and hardworking. I can give dogs all the love and care they need, even when it is hard work or demands extra patience! I am also sure to keep in constant communication with my clients and send updates about their pup in real time. I want you to know that your dog is safe and happy when in my care and will do everything I can to make sure you feel satisfied with my work!

About: I provide dedicated, attentive care tailored to your pet's unique personality and routine. Having spent years caring for a wide variety of animals for friends and family, I treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether it’s daily drop-ins, feeding, playtime, or giving your pet extra love and attention while you are away, I prioritize their safety, happiness, and comfort. I am highly dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to giving you complete peace of mind while you're out. I have excellent availability throughout the summer and am open to caring for your pets seven days a week! My schedule is highly flexible Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. On Mondays and Thursdays, I look after my two young grandchildren, which means I will be hanging out at home with them. If your pet loves a lively, family-friendly environment, they will fit right in on those days; otherwise, I can easily tailor my focus to match their preferred routine! Your pet's safety and happiness are my top priorities. I have a spacious fenced-in backyard perfect for safe outdoor playtime and bathroom breaks. Your furry family member will have plenty of company here, as I have two friendly dogs and a welcoming cat who are all completely accustomed to sharing their space with new guest dogs. Whether they want to run laps in the yard, socialize with my pets, or just find a cozy spot to relax, my home is a secure and loving environment.

“We have two dogs that they have been sending to Kieran and Nicole for doggie daycare. Our boys absolutely enjoy going there to hang out for the day and learned how to be around cats. Kieran and Nicole love your dogs and treat them as family. They send us lots of pup-dates and pictures to let us know how our boys are doing through the day and my hubby and I love that! They are truly a great pair to send your fur-babies to!”

“Sydney was a huge lifesaver when I needed someone to watch my dog while in town for a few days. She was awesome with my dog Atlas, who’s usually pretty skeptical of new people, and he loved playing with her dog Honey”
“Lindsey was great with my dog. She sent pics when requested and Maisey came home worn out. It was nice to get a break and be able to sleep. Will be booking again in the future.”

About: Hi! I am a pet owner and enthusiast. Since I am a professor, I work from home and have a lot of free time in summers and holidays to hang out with your wonderful dog. Additionally, my husband works from home so your pooch will never be alone and will have frequent walks around the many green spaces in Franklinton. Our favorite is the river. I love getting to know a pet’s wants, anticipate their anxieties, and most importantly play! My work requires me to be on-site part time, so I am quite flexible for overnight stays, extra long walks, and boarding at my place with my sheltie Flora. I have a two bedroom apartment with my sweet, spayed sheltie Flora who loves to play and take naps. I am quite active so I would be happy to take your dog on long epic walks.

About: I adopted a hound mix from the shelter who was so afraid of the world and has become the most well-adjusted, friendly boy in the world! I also adopted a stray dog in December who has already grown leaps and bounds! I would love to pet sit/dog walk for you and love taking dogs to their own private sniff spots when they spend numerous days with me :) I am pet-sitting full time, so I have all the time to focus on caring for pets :) I am willing to come to your home anytime of day or pet sit in my home, 7 days a week. I have two friendly dogs at home and can watch your pet at home. Otherwise, I am more than happy to pet sit at your home! Dogs stay on leash unless we are at a fenced sniffspot, as approved by owner :)

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
