“My dog Barkley was so well cared for by Megan & Jacob! I could tell he felt comfortable right from the start, and I appreciated their great communication before and during Barkley’s time with them.”

“Megan and Vincent were amazing with our girls! We got plenty of photo and video updates throughout the entire time we were gone and were always super quick to respond. This was the first time leaving all three of them for longer than just a few days and with someone who wasn’t a family member and I couldn’t have felt more comfortable than I did with Megan and Vincent.”

“Karen was fantastic at keeping me updated on Bailey and even sent pictures. I was very pleased at how well Bailey was cared for and I would certainly use Karen again!”

“Alexandra and her family took amazing care of our sometimes nervous dog bella and sent her back to us as happy as we left her. As caring and competent a dog sitter as you'll find.”

“We are very pleased with the care Pamela provides for our dog! She really takes great care to make our dog feel comfortable. She has a great fenced yard where our dog can run around and explore. Pamela also keeps us posted on our dog’s activities with daily pictures! We wholeheartedly recommend Pamela!”

“Tabby came through for us when we were in a pinch with finding a place for our two boxers and we are forever thankful.. Our boxers certainly enjoyed their time in her big back yard.”

“I dropped my five-year-old dog off on a Thursday morning and came home on Saturday to pick her up. You could tell she was well cared for from the moment I saw her. Justin and Stephanie sent pictures the entire time and I could tell she was enjoying herself inside and outside. She had space of her own or she could play with all the other dogs that they took very good care of. I will definitely be using Justin and Stephanie again and I would suggest that you do too!”

“Thomas and his sons took great care of Tucker while I was away. He responded quickly every time I reached out and Tucker seemed right at home when I picked him up at the end of his stay!”

“Jessica was very accommodating throughout the process. She even agreed to having our furbabies meet before the stay so I was comfortable with their likeness to each other. She was also very accommodating and get me updated on my little Oliver was doing. Would definitely book again with Jessica :)”

“Ollie felt right at home. I loved the large fenced yard for off-leash exercise and that I got lots of picture updates. He enjoyed the extra company from other pups and children too. Thank you!!”

About: I have taken care of dogs, my whole life whether they were my own or somebody else’s I absolutely love animals your animal will always be safe in my care and have the best time. I’m currently a stay at home mom so if I leave the house, I only leave to go to the grocery store or to grab the little one something to eat if they want it I have a huge backyard my house backs up against the woods. We are not close to the road at all. You’re dog would never be let outside alone my kids would run around in the backyard with them 💕
“Jenn & Bob were awesome! First time we used Rover and it was a great experience. I can't say more about how they took care of our dogs while away. We even received report cards on each dog along with daily pictures and updates. We will for sure be using them again!”

“Geosselyn is friendly and very kind. She gave me frequent updates with photos/video to let me know how my dog was adjusting at her home. My small Maltese truly received excellent, personalized care. I highly recommend Geosselyn and will place my dog in her care again!”

“Gisel and her family were great with my special needs dog. I could not be more grateful for the love and care. I hope to that this family will be my go to. My little guy was happy to see me but was sad and kept wandering around because I think he was looking for the kids.”

“Daisy fit right in with the family! It was good to know that she got to hang with the kids and snuggle on the couch just like she does at home. The family did a great job communicating and being flexible about drop of and pick up. We will be booking again!”

“She and her family were very kind. She took care of my dog and loved him as if he were her own. My dog also seemed very comfortable. She even surprised me with a thoughtful gift. Thank you for your kindness”

“Fantastic people who took excellent care of my dog while I was away for work. They were very communicative and easy to work with. Also very accommodating when my work training schedule changed. Highly recommend!”

“Where do I start!? This was our first time going away and having to leave our Megan! She’s an elder fur baby and we couldn’t think of anyone who would properly take care of her. We turned to rover and it may sound strange but when I saw Barbra picture I knew she would be perfect! She sent pictures, and updates constantly! Our Megan looked so happy and taken care of! I am so pleased with her service and I will definitely be using Barbra in the future! Thanks a MILLION Barbra we appreciate you more than you know!”

“Peal was everything you could ask for in a sitter for your pet. She was communicative, flexible, welcoming and kind. My dog, Freddy, stayed with Pearl while my son had a baseball tournament at Cal Ripken in Aberdeen. Tournaments are challenging to plan for and I didn't know how long we would need Pearl to care for our dog. Pearl and I communicated throughout the weekend as my son's team continued to advance towards the championship Sunday night through rain delays, and reassured me that she could care for Freddy as long as we needed. It was such a relief to know that our dog was in a safe environment, allowing me to focus on baseball. Pearl was a huge contribution to the success of our weekend! I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone in the Aberdeen area as a loving home for your pet.”

Every sitter on Rover has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Colora home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Colora.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
