About: I’m a dedicated dog mom to two pups of my own, so I understand how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care. My dogs have very different personalities, which has given me experience with both calm, easygoing dogs and larger, high-energy ones who need structure and engagement. I also have light experience with cats and am comfortable respecting their space and routines. Safety and consistency matter a lot to me. I follow feeding and medication instructions carefully, keep doors and gates secure, and try to maintain your dog’s normal routine so they feel comfortable while you’re away.
“Michael shows up when he says he will; takes pictures; reports accurately about our dog and makes adjustments when asked. We will definitely have Michael watch Livee again if we need someone and if he’s available.”

“Emma will not disappoint you. She will take excellent care of your pets just the way you want it done. Her love for animals and understanding of their needs is evident. My semi feral cats show up when she arrives instead of hiding. 🐈⬛🐈⬛”

“Michael B. did an excellent job pet-sitting for Jewel and keeping us informed about how the visits were going. He was very conscientious and helped Jewel feel comfortable with him there. We highly recommend Michael for your pet-sitting needs!!”

About: I've been an animal lover my entire life. We are caretakers of all creatures, great and small. I've had all sorts of pets including cats, dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits, lizards, birds, even an opossum! I love all animals. It's my belief that my purpose on earth is to care for animals in any way I can. I rescue abandoned or injured animals on a regular basis. I live in a rural area so I often try to save wildlife when I come across them. I've been a Pet sitter on the Central Coast for over 10 years. I also volunteer for Woods humane society. I treat my clients as I would want to be treated. So I will text you pics of your pets while you're away to help set your mind as ease. I've been lucky to be able to work from home for the past two years due to the pandemic. So I can basically stay with your babies 24/7. My goal when staying in a client's home is to leave no trace of my stay when I leave....except happy and healthy pets! I bring my own bedding and food so you don't need to do anything for me. I am lucky enough to be able to work from home. Which means I can work from your home as well. I'm pretty much a homebody. While petsitting, I will stay at your home most of the time, only leaving occasionally to go home to check on things, depending on the length of the petsit. While caring for your pets, I prefer to have written instructions which tell me when to feed them, how much and where the food is kept or where they are fed. (Sometimes dogs are fed in separate areas, etc.) And all other things I should do whether it be taking in mail or putting out garbage, etc.
“Oscar is terrific and very reliable! I have three Labradors and he handles them all beautifully. I really appreciate the notifications when he arrives and photos of the dogs having fun. One is still in training and Oscar maintains my standards and requirements. What a load off my mind to have him!”

About: Hi! My name is Sherlynn, and I’m a Salinas local with over 8 years of hands-on experience caring for animals of all types. I’ve grown up around pets and have cared for dogs, cats, birds, and even a bunny. I raised my pit bull mix from puppyhood into adulthood, and I currently care for a German Shepherd who I’ve had for over four years. I’m experienced with dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and energy levels — from calm companions to more active, strong breeds. I enjoy taking pets on safe, enriching walks at local parks and beaches, and I always tailor care to each pet’s needs and routine. Safety and communication are my top priorities. I’m confident handling unexpected situations calmly and responsibly, and I make sure pets feel comfortable, secure, and loved while in my care. I’m open to working with all breeds and always treat every pet as if they were my own. Your pet’s happiness, safety, and well-being will always come first. Feel free to reach out with any questions — I’d love to meet you and your pet! I am Medical Student at the moment with a part time job trying to pay for school doing Rover as my side hustle! I am willing to work with you on dates & times you need. I do live in house that has a fenced yard. I live less than 1 minute away from a dog park which is so convenient. My neighborhood is calm.
About: Ive been an animal lover since I was little, Ive had all types of animals growing up and absolutely love caring for all pets. My roommates travel often and I take care of their senior dog Riley, he is deaf and blind so he needs a lot of extra TLC. I am local to south salinas, I have my own business and make my own schedule. I have my office 3 mins away from home so have the flexibility. Commutation is the most important thing for me, making sure you have updates about your pet and making sure they feel safe and protected weather it’s on a walk or home sitting.
About: I’ve have experience caring for both cats and dogs of all ages and sizes. I currently have two 6 year old cats in my home, that I raised from kittens. Before them, I had a cat for 16 years and a beagle for nine years. As a child, we had multiple dogs and cats and there has been very little time I’ve spent in my life without a pet of some sort. I am open and flexible all days of the week as this is my only source of income. Same day appointments are also an option most days. I currently live in an apartment with my partner. Having a partner in my own home to be with our pets helps me to be more physically and mentally available for my clients, especially for house sitting jobs that may be long term.

About: Hi! I’m a veterinary professional with 6.5 years of experience in animal medicine, including 2 years in emergency and specialty care. Animals are my life and my career — I genuinely love what I do. Whether your pet needs medication administered, has special medical needs, or just needs lots of love while you’re away, I’ve got them covered. I’m communicative, reliable, and will keep you updated every step of the way so you can enjoy your time away with total peace of mind. I’m regularly available Saturday through Monday each week, making me a great option for weekend getaways, short trips, and Monday holiday travel. I work in veterinary emergency medicine during the week so my schedule is consistent and reliable — when I’m available for your pet, they have my full attention. Please note that I occasionally pick up Saturday shifts at the hospital, so I recommend reaching out a week or two in advance for weekend bookings so I can confirm my availability. I always communicate promptly and will never leave you without plenty of notice. When I’m in your home, my priority is making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and as close to their normal routine as possible. I always follow your instructions carefully — feeding schedules, medication routines, exercise needs, behavioral quirks — nothing gets overlooked. I’ve spent 6.5 years in veterinary medicine learning that every animal is an individual, and I bring that same attentive, personalized approach to every visit and stay. During drop-in visits I make sure your pet is fed, watered, exercised, and given plenty of genuine attention — not just a quick check in and out. During house sitting stays I treat your home with the utmost respect and your pet as if they were my own patient. I maintain their routine as closely as possible so they experience minimal stress in your absence. As an emergency and specialty veterinary professional I’m also trained to recognize early warning signs of illness or distress that most pet sitters wouldn’t notice — changes in breathing, appetite, behavior, mobility, or energy levels. If anything seems off I will contact you immediately and if necessary can coordinate directly with your veterinarian given my medical background. I send photo and video updates throughout every visit and stay so you always know exactly how your pet is doing. I know how hard it is to leave your animal behind — my goal is to make that as easy as possible for both of you.
