It has been quite a few months since I last traveled for work and it made me so happy to see how excited Buddie was to see Mike again. I am so grateful to have Mike, Amy and Bear to leave Buddie with because I know he is getting way more attention and love than he ever would at a conventional boarding place. I used to worry every day I was gone when I left him at boarding that wasn't getting enough attention or maybe he was cold at night when he was trying to sleep in a kennel, but those days are over.!!! I already have planned my business trips for the next six months based on when Mike is available. 100% recommend💜🐾

Sue was the absolute best! We had a very unique situation where we really wanted our dog, Maui, to be a part of our wedding day and weren’t from the area so we were unsure how to find someone that could pick him up from the venue while we were getting married and board him overnight. Sue went above and beyond to pick him up and board him. Sue also kept us updated with how Maui was doing and he had a great time playing with her cockapoo Ninny! Highly recommend Sue to anyone in need of dog boarding!

Samantha and her partner Zachary took fabulous care of our two dogs for three days. They are both high energy young dogs, one 7 months and one 13 months old and we were worried that they were going to be a problem. They love each other, romping like crazy with each other indoors and out and Samantha and Zach had no problem dealing with them. When we went to pick them up, it was obvious that both dogs really liked their caregivers. What more can one hope for in someone taking care of their dogs? We will be using them again when we are back in the Albany area. Thank you, Samantha and Zachary! Clifford and Ann Wagner

Megan was amazing with my dog Caroline. I was blown away by how attentive she was with my dog. She had her paying outside, took her for walks, had her swimming in a doggy pool, and the best part was she sent me pictures and updates the whole time she had her. I 100% recommend Megan and will definitely be using her everytime I go on a trip.

I would definitely refer my friends and other pet owners that are seeking a great sitter to jenny. She was very patient with me and was very flexible with her time. I will be using jenny as his primary sitter going forward. ??

Anna was fantastic! She messaged everyday with updates on how my pups were doing, along with pictures. My 2 dogs are vastly different ages and temperaments and Anna seemed to have no trouble making sure both were happy and comfortable. They got walks each day, even with the cold weather. We even needed to extend our pups stay with her on short notice and she was extremely helpful and accommodating. Then when we picked up our dogs, Anna gave us a couple new toys, several printed pictures of the pups during their stay, and little "report cards" of how they fared during their stay with comments. We would happily have Anna watch our dogs again any future times we needed.

Pam did a great job with my dog who has never been comfortable with other dogs. I’m very glad that Pam not only took care of my anti-social dog (got her during COVID) while I was away, but also helped her learn social skills with other dogs!

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is the level of individualized care and attention I give every dog. I don’t just “watch” pets — I truly get to know their personalities, routines, and needs so they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I have experience training puppies, including basic commands, leash manners, crate training, and reinforcing positive behaviors. I’m also confident caring for senior dogs who may need a slower pace, extra patience, or mobility support. Whether your pup is high-energy and playful or calm and cuddly, I adapt to their unique temperament. I prioritize clear communication, regular photo updates, and creating a stress-free experience for both pets and owners. Your dog’s safety, happiness, and well-being always come first. Pet care is a natural part of my daily and weekly routine — I intentionally structure my schedule to make sure I have dedicated, unhurried time for each dog. Whether it’s morning walks, midday check-ins, playtime, feeding schedules, or evening cuddles, I plan my days around the pets in my care so they receive consistent attention and companionship. I build flexibility into my week to accommodate different energy levels and needs, from active pups who love longer walks to seniors who prefer shorter, gentler outings. Because I prioritize reliability and routine, your dog can count on consistent care, and you can count on dependable communication and updates. Caring for pets isn’t something I squeeze in — it’s something I genuinely make space for. In My Home: When pets stay with me, I create a calm, safe, and welcoming environment that feels as close to their normal routine as possible. I follow your feeding schedules, potty routines, exercise needs, and any specific instructions you provide. Dogs receive plenty of supervised playtime, walks, mental stimulation, and affection. I’m mindful of introductions (if other pets are present), keep the space clean and secure, and make sure every dog has a comfortable area to rest and relax. In Your Home: When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their usual routine to reduce stress. I stick closely to feeding times, walks, and preferred activities. I also respect your home by keeping things tidy, bringing in mail if requested, and ensuring everything is secure before I leave. My goal is to make your absence feel as smooth and normal as possible for your pet. For both services, I prioritize safety, communication, and regular photo updates so you always know how your pet is doing. I treat every animal as if they were my own — with patience, attentiveness, and lots of love.

Jeannie was a great sitter! She took excellent care of my dog and kept me updated with some fantastic photos. In fact, one of the pictures she took was so good that we’re going to use it on our Christmas card this year! I would definitely trust Jeannie with my dog again and will happily use her in the future. Highly recommend!

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
