“I cannot express how much I appreciated the service. Above and beyond in all respects. Pretty last minute booking, very quick to respond. So sweet and kind. Top notch communication and sent all kinds of pictures. Even swept up the litter and did other extras that were absolutely more than was needed. So very appreciative. Absolutely the best pet sitter experience! Thank you so much for your time and effort. You're amazing!”
“Shakarra was great with our 2 dogs! They can be a lot but they loved her! She was very responsive and sent pictures. I was so grateful to have her here and take care of them!”

“Tasha was amazing! She took great care of our pets while we were out of town for a week. It took a lot for us to trust someone to stay at our house with our pets and I am glad we gave her a chance. We came home to happy animals and the house exactly as we left it. She also sent daily pictures to keep us updated. 100% would recommend, she loves animals and will be great with your pets 😊”

About: I have worked in the pet industry for 10 years. I have done everything from cleaning kennels, to working as a vet assistant in a clinic. I also have experience with farm and exotic animals. I currently don't have furbabies of my own, but I find them very therapeutic to interact with. Life is boring without furbabies in my life. I will enter the home as instructed by owners, and proceed in a professional manner. I will use my education as a vet assistant and future vet tech to ensure the animal(s) experience minimal upheaval of their daily routines.
“Kristle was amazing!!! We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter to watch our Coco Bella! Kristle was loving and caring! She was so good to Coco! She took her out on walks, played with her, and made sure she was well taken care of. She sent us pictures everyday and was quick to respond! I am so happy we met Kristle and we will be in contact with her for future needs! I highly recommend her services! Thank you Kristle and family! Coco loved you guys!”
“Katie was a hit!!!! With Griffin and with us. Please come back soon!!! Thank you for being an eager player of dog games AND for leaving the house so clean. Five-plus stars for Katie.”

About: I’ve worked with both cats and dogs in a humane shelter setting for multiple years, and I’m ready to meet and get to know your pet! I work full-time but mostly weekends and evenings. I have most weekdays off of work and am always available for a morning check-in for your pet. I am able to move pets between rooms and crate animals if needed in your home. I do not host pets for boarding at my own home.
“This was our first time using Rover. We had Ben come over for a meet and greet. Ben paid close attention and took notes on everything we discussed. We had him do one overnight at our house with the dogs. He communicated well and let us know how the dogs were doing. Also sent daily pictures of the dogs. We would recommend Ben for dog sitting.”

“Zach went above and beyond. This was our first time using this service. He continously updated us with how our animals were doing and sent countless pictures. He loves animals and will use him again in a heartbeat.”

About: I have my own dog. I've grown up with dogs. I worked at a pet store when I was a teenager, and have house/pet sat before. Although, I'm not a vet, I'm observant and will keep an eye out for issues that concern you. Pet health is important. That includes nutrition and grooming. I know some think there is such a thing as over involved pet parents, I think they're family and should be treated as such. I volunteer at my church every Thursday, Backpack Program fifth Wednesdays (when they occur) and Orphan Grain Train every other month on the third Thursday. Otherwise, I take care of my dad who has COPD. I have to be home to cook for him. And take care of my own dog. Eventually, I will allow dogs to stay with me overnight, but I want to make sure my dog and said dogs get along. So that is my availability. I have a pitbull mix. She is very good around other dogs. Especially after she gets to know them. She's not aggressive, just tends to hump when excited. All dogs will need a leash if they are coming with me. I have walking trails in my community. I have no problem walking your dogs in them. Please make sure they have up to date tick meds. Also I live with my dad he will be petting and loving any pet that spends the night. My house is two story, so if you have a senior dog that needs help just let me know.
“Stacey was amazing and went above and beyond for me and my pets. She mentioned she has 3 large dogs and her experience really showed. At one point I ran out of dog food and she offered to go pick some up. She also watched over my guinea pig and took great care of him, since she has rabbits of her own. I will definitely be booking her again and again!”

About: I just finished my sophomore year at Purdue University. I have an animal science background and a lot of experience taking care of dogs and cats. This includes large dogs, small dogs, old dogs, and puppies from a variety of breeds. I also own 2 cats. I am a prior high school wrestler, so I'm confident in my strength to handle and walk large dogs. As my mom says we’re the “designated dog sitters” for our neighborhood. I’ve been watching, walking, feeding and taking care of dogs and cats since I was little I am home from college. I am free 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I love seeing lots of pets. Even if I already have multiple visits in a day day, I'll be sure to make time for your pet. I have multiple cats. They are comfortable around other animals as they have been exposed to many different cat and dog breed from my past pet sitting services.

About: I’ve taken care of cats and dogs my entire life. I’ve always had animals in my household. Neighbors, family, and friends have always trusted me to watch their furry friends while they were away. I work part time at a school from august to may. I have plenty of time every day at home to watch and play with your animals. I have a large fenced in yard for my dogs at home. I live with parents so my dogs have multiple people to let them out and play when needed. In clients homes I let them out often and I am able to walk them and play with them frequently.
“We had a fantastic experience with Matthew as our dog sitter while we went out to dinner to visit family in Greencastle, Indiana. He watched our two dogs for about 3.5 hours and did an excellent job. Matthew was professional, punctual, and took great care of them. He kept us updated with messages and photos, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Both dogs were happy and well-cared for when we returned, and it was clear that Matthew genuinely loves animals. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter. We’ll definitely be reaching out to him again in the future!”
About: I don’t just care for pets—I love them like family. I have a Brittany Spaniel puppy of my own, and before that, I had a sweet companion who was with me for 10 years. Losing her taught me just how deep the bond with an animal runs. To me, caring for your dog isn’t a “job”, it’s giving them the same love, patience, and attention I give my own kids (and yes, my pup too!). Hi, I’m Kylie! I’m married with two kids, and we’re a family that truly loves animals. I work full-time 9–5, which means I’m home every evening and off on weekends—the perfect time to give pets the care, attention, and exercise they deserve. I spend a lot of time outdoors and enjoy walking, hiking, and running. I walk my own Brittany Spaniel puppy daily (we’re training to start running together soon!), so keeping up with active pups comes naturally. I also cared for a senior dog for over 10 years, which taught me patience, compassion, and how important it is to treat pets like family at every stage of life. With me, your furry loved one will get reliable, loving care—whether that means long walks, playtime, or just plenty of snuggles. Your pet’s safety is my top priority. I keep a watchful eye on playtime, walks, and interactions to make sure everyone stays happy and safe. I follow your instructions closely for feeding, routines, and medications, and I always keep fresh water available. At home, pets are cared for in a clean, family-friendly environment. I have a playful pup of my own and two children, so your dog will always have company, stimulation, and affection—but I’m also mindful of boundaries and comfort levels to make sure your pet feels secure. Trust is everything when it comes to pet care. I treat every animal like my own, with patience, love, and respect. Whether it’s a walk, cuddle, or just sitting quietly together, I want your pet to feel safe, loved, and right at home.
About: I am currently a proud parent to two cat, so I’m very well versed in their play styles and respecting their boundaries. However I spent my childhood with a loving dog who recently passed away. Navigating his senior years taught me that care isn’t just about walks or treats but about patience, sometimes administering medication, and recognizing subtle cues of a senior pet that may need a little extra comfort. Whether your pet is a high energy pet or senior pet who needs a gentle hand, I provide intuitive, dedicated, and delicate care that I’d want for my own. I’m currently a college student, but have lots of time to care for your pets! I’m available on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:30 PM-4:00 PM or 5:30 PM-10:00 PM. Thursday- Sunday I’m available anytime after 7:00 PM. Whatever your pets need, I have it covered and their safety is always my number one priority. From double checking that every gate is latched and every lease is secured/correctly on to closely monitoring your pets for any sign of discomfort, ill treat your home and your pets with the highest level of care. Whether it’s following a strict medication schedule or navigating a high energy walk, I’m prepared for any situation!
“Josh was fabulous! Our dog really needed extra care emotionally since we had to have our other dog put down a month ago. Josh was here with him most of the time! During the meet and greet he took meticulous notes! He even brought him a treat (after checking with me.) Josh was able to administer several different meds too with confidence. His communication and pictures throughout his stay was a wonderful way to keep up with his care. He's very responsive, responsible, respectful, and kind. I will use him in the future and look forward to keeping in touch with him!”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Coatesville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Coatesville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Coatesville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Coatesville. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
