“Our (very) senior girl had a fantastic stay with Katlynn and her family! She was clearly very well cared for. Katlynn communicated often, sending daily pictures of our dog fitting right into their family life and was super accommodating. We’ll definitely book again, if she’ll have our gal!”
“Tasha was absolutely wonderful! Always in communication, flexible and accommodating. She provided love, care and fun for our sweet Pippin so we could focus on health at a very stressful time. We are so grateful!”

“Christine and her crew were incredible and did a great job. Thor came home exhausted and without any bad habits (begging from the table, attempting to get on furniture, etc). Great communication before and throughout the stay. Thor loved his time with Cornelius and is looking forward to his next visit.”

“Katie and Justin were fabulous! Samson is an old dude and they made him feel so comfortable. They let him sleep in their room. They even picked him up as I was in a bind! I would highly suggest using Katie!”

“Janelle was fantastic and knows how hard it is to leave behind your family member. She was very reassuring and sent us photos and wonderful messages everyday. We could not have asked for a better caretaker for our pup!! She had fun adventures with their dogs and got plenty of play time outdoors. Janelle went above and beyond and helped ensure all things went smoothly. We are so grateful for the care she gave our dog and we couldn’t be happier!”

About: I have many years of experience both cat and dog sitting for families in West Palm Beach, Florida, as well as around Gull Lake. I have cared for many animals of all different ages, with all different care needs. Big time animal lover! I am currently a stay at home mother and wife. I am home quite a bit and able to care for animals in our home, and our completely fenced in back yard which is quite large and great for animals. I am a reliable, attentive and nurturing mum. I love to care for kids and animal. I am trustworthy and reliable, easy to get in contact with, and flexible with to help meet the needs of any animal at any age.
“Alexandra did a perfect job sitting for my pet. She made my dog feel right at home, kept me updated throughout her stay, and was very accommodating and flexible. Would happily have my pet stay again!”

“Jenai and Sean were lovely!! We had Jenai and Sean watch our dog Bernie for a weekend while we tied the knot! We hardly ever leave our baby and were a little anxious about it until we met them and they are just so great!”

“Fantastic pet sitter! I have a very stubborn and specific elderly dog and after talking with her once, I felt completely confident that he would be well taken care of. I received multiple updates throughout my dog’s stay, and she was even gracious enough to allow me to pick him up after midnight. Everything went smoothly and I can tell from my dog’s stay, as well as the sweet attitude of the other animals in her home, that this is a very loving place for pets! Thank you very much!”

“Shawnia was the best pet sitter ever. Seven really enjoyed herself and she made me feel at ease during my whole trip by sending me pictures and updates. I’ll definitely be booking with her again. Thank you so much.”

“This was the first time we took our big ole pups to Kim. She was so kind and so flexible. We are especially thankful she was willing to sit on New Yests Eve and Day. I would recommend Kim to anyone who is looking to board their dogs. ❤️”
“Amy was a wonderful sitter for our dog while we were away for a week. We loved all the updates she would share and I could see that our dog was very well cared for and absolutely loved staying with Amy. Thank you so much!”

“This was the first time I had to use Rover. Dale sent daily messages and photos which helped ease my anxiety about leaving my "baby". He was also flexible with drop-off/pick-up timing as my flight home was delayed. I definitely recommend Dale. You can tell he loves animals.”

“Jayme took exceptional care of my senior dog while we were gone for almost 2 weeks. She was easy to communicate with and we arranged a meet & greet after I initially booked, which went well. Her home and yard were perfect for my dog and she answered any questions I had. My dog has a few medications she had to take and this was not an issue at all. She and her family were so welcoming and loving to my dog, who has mobility issues and separation anxiety. She also sent me photos and updates throughout the time she was watching my dog, which was so welcomed. I never once felt like I was concerned or worried about how things were going while in her care. When I picked up my dog, she was very obviously comfortable in her home! She and her family were a true blessing to us in our time of need for a pet sitter and we’d love to have her help again in the future. Thank you!”

“We were so grateful for finding Amy through Rover only a day before our trip. She made time to have our dog over for a meet and greet, and she had experience with dogs with a similar personality to our Mimi, so it felt like a good match from the start. Amy sent pictures and updates throughout our trip, and the drop off and pick up situations were easy. We would recommend Amy to anyone in need on doggy watching for up to one week! Thank you Amy!”

“Jenn was awesome! From the meet & greet to the weekend boarding. I was so nervous as it was our first time having to board our Aussiedoodle Jax. Jenn made sure to send us pictures & videos multiple times per day. It was such an added bonus to see our puppy just having the best time! She had toys & even took him swimming! I know Jax had a great time, he was wore out & sleeping as soon as we got home. She was really understanding & listening when I brought up his food allergies. I will continue using her for boarding & recommending her to our friends with dogs that may need it.”

“Reed and Natalie were great to work with. They were both very kind and worked with my dog that is a little kiddish around new people. They took the time to slowly get her to come out of her shell. They sent many text updates, photos and videos. This was my first time using Rover and I will definitely book with Reed and Natalie again!!”

“Jenna is amazing! She was ultra responsive when it came to booking and she made it super easy. The boys absolutely loved her and had a great time. They came home all tuckered out. We can’t wait to see her again!”

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
96% of sitters in Cloverdale can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Cloverdale home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Cloverdale.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Cloverdale sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
