My cats can be complicated, especially because one of them has a complex and unusual medical history and can be reactive. Mara has handled everything extremely well. She’s gained both cats’ trust and has flexibly adapted when the situation required it, for example extending her visits and adding extra check-ins as needed. About: I grew up very hesitant of dogs, but I’ve grown to adore them! Spending time with animals has been like a form of therapy for me and being outside makes it even better! I’m currently on summer vacation and I don’t have a job at the moment, so I’m free for pet care at any time! About: I have extensive experience caring for pets at every stage of life. I’ve been caring for pets since I was 5 years old, starting with my first cat, Rosie, and over time I’ve gained hands-on experience with both kittens and senior cats. I’ve raised four kittens (three rescues) myself, so I’m very familiar with the patience, attention, and consistency needed for young pets. Additionally, I have experience caring for both puppies and senior dogs, through the care of my own pups and friends’. I have lots of experience caring for senior pets, including administering medications, managing special diets, and assisting with more advanced care such as subcutaneous (IV) fluids. Because of this, I’m very attentive to changes in behavior or health and can provide a higher level of care for pets with medical needs. I treat every pet like my own and prioritize their comfort, safety, and overall well-being. I work as a Medical Assistant full time on weekdays from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, but my evenings and weekends are wide open, giving me plenty of flexibility to care for pets. I’m based in Utica and am happy to travel as needed for drop-in visits, walks, or longer stays. This schedule allows me to provide consistent, reliable care while being attentive to pets’ needs. I provide care either in my pet-friendly, secure residence (keycard access) or in the client’s home, depending on their needs. About: I've taken care of dogs as long as I can remember, but have been doing it as a side job since I was about 12. I love all dogs, whether they are big, small, old, or young. I am currently working in the morning and early afternoons, so evening and night (walks, check-ins, etc.) would be ideal for my schedule at the moment! About: I have multiple friends who trust me to give their dogs an adventure and also be their dogs’ cuddle buddy on the couch. I do my best to know the individual(s) and their dogs to cater to their needs, whether their trips are short term or long term. I’ve dog sat in people’s home or my home and while the owner is gone, I have trained their dogs as well if needed or if they ask. I’m a communicative and intentional individual for the owners and the fur buddies. I make my own schedule for work so I can be as flexible as I need to be in order to care the pet. I keep a routine in my phone and calendar in order to give better intentional care for the pet(s). I do my best to help the pets become familiar with their surroundings, with me, and also help them by being a consistent and calm sitter for them. I can be firm and assertive, but also fun and goofy with them.

About: I have been taking care of animals since childhood and would often pet sit for family members, some of which were entire farms for a week at a time. Neighbors and family members have relied on me for daily care of their dogs and cats with care tasks including feeding, walking and sometimes bathing. I am currently in nursing school and I have a very flexible schedule during the week (except Mondays, Tuesdays) and on weekends. I currently have an almost 5 years old Australian cattle dog (very friendly w/ other dogs) and also live on a hobby farm. You will see my reviews are from Canada, where I lived for 6 years, but moved back home in the last couple of years and wanted to start my account up again :) I have a large property for walks and playtime without having to drive to a trail. I am also able to crate your dog if that is needed. I am available for frequent potty breaks (every 0-2 hours).

About: I grew up in a house with 2 springer spaniels (and several other pets), one of which I'd received for my 9th birthday. I was completely responsible for training and caring for my own dog and really worked hard at it. She was such a pivotal part of my growing up years. Now many years later, I house and dog sit often for friends and really enjoy getting to know their pets. I have no dog of my own (although I do have two wonderful cats), my kids are grown and in college, and I have lots of energy and a pretty good amount of free time. I work full time in Clinton but rise early and have time prior to work, during lunch, and in the evenings. I love long walks! I've also taken great care of my own home so am happy to care for yours, your plants, a cat or two, what have you. Two in college so hoping to have fun with dogs and earn a bit of extra income!
