“I can’t recommend them enough. My husband and I were really not able to do much because Ryder has separation anxiety. Charlie and Casey sent us updates through out the day and our baby looked so relaxed and happy. I definitely will not use anyone else. Thanks Charlie and Casey.”

“We were so nervous as this was our first time leaving our Sushi dog overnight with anyone. Stephanie was wonderful! She sent us updates and pictures and just really eased our minds. We will definitely be returning to Stephanie for our future needs!”

“Kayla was great! She was super responsive, really nice, and sent us lots of pictures and videos of Gucci. Most importantly, we could tell he absolutely loved staying with her, which says everything 😂 We felt really comfortable leaving him with her and would definitely book with her again!”

“Allyson and Tyler were great hosts for Oso! Super responsive and flexible and gave us nice updates on his time with them. We love that Oso could play with other pups and enjoy a de fenced yard! We’ll definitely bring him back for a future stay!”

“Hannah is very sweet and communicative and her dogs are just as nice. I’m sure my dog and his puppy energy was a pain in the butt but if he was they didn’t let on and the photos they sent showed them getting along perfectly. I would highly recommend Hannah.”

“Melissa exceeded my expectations! Yumi doesn’t usually feel comfortable around people she doesn’t know, but she absolutely loved Melissa from day one. Melissa kept me updated throughout her stay, including her meals, walks, treats, and how she slept at night. Everything went so smoothly, and I felt completely at ease knowing Yumi was in such good hands. I’ve had other experiences on Rover, but Melissa is definitely the best sitter we’ve had. I’m sure Yumi is already looking forward to staying with her again soon! 🐾❤️”

“Lanelle was awesome she kept me constantly updated with my dog in terms of playfulness, walks, temperament and etc. I would definitely come back in the future, and I highly recommend!!!”

“Angelica and Elizabeth were wonderful with my fur baby. I missed him like crazy but I knew he was in good hands. I received pictures and videos frequently. I will definitely use them again. They treated him like their own. Thank you”

“Madeline took great care of our little guy while we left town for a week. He was happy and healthy when we returned. Madeline was flexible with drop off and pick up times and we really appreciate that.”

About: We have both grown up with dogs since birth! Our families have always owned them. <3 We have experience walking, bathing, feeding, & giving oral medications to dogs of all breeds, ages, & sizes. We have owned dogs with our families before marriage & have each dog sat for friends & family.🐶Avery has experience taking care of her family’s senior shitzu including taking him on walks in a doggie stroller, walks in grippy socks, & exercising him in a bathtub because it’s good for his joints. (: 🛁🐾 Layton is blessed to work from home so he is able to watch, hangout, & play with your fur baby all day! No need to worry about your pup having anxiety away from a human or being lonely. Avery gets home from grad school in the evenings. We are both home at night and on the weekends as well, we have very flexible schedules. We live in a dog friendly, gated apartment complex with a dog park, sidewalks, and lots of space so we can get our exercise in💪🐶🏃♀️. We do not own any pets so you do not have to worry about your dog getting along with another animal or vice versa. (: We do not own any crates and feel no need to, we love letting our previous pets and dogs we’ve sat for roam freely with us and get as many pets & scratches as they please. We allow dogs on our furniture, just let us know if they are prone to accidents/not fully potty trained. We can’t wait to make your fur baby feel right at home when you’re away!
“Asia was truly an amazing and engaged sitter that treated our pup Ruby like she was her very own. She kept us updated daily with pictures and ensured we knew our Ruby was in good hands. We will be leaving our pup with Asia next time we are in the area. Thanks so much Asia.”

“She was great!! She was so reassuring when she found out I was boarding my dog for the first time and she was so attentive and kept me updated the whole time! Loved her!”

“First time ever using this app or even letting someone watch my dog but the experience was awesome and Nicole was the best she kept in contact the entire time sent us videos and pictures took our call at the last second and saved our vacation…..we couldn’t have ask for a better sitter”

“Gabriella did an outstanding job watching my precious girls, she made sure they were safe from the fireworks and she made sure they got plenty of exercise while we were gone. I missed my gurls while were gone but I felt comfortable knowing they were in good hands and would be loved on while we were gone. The pictures she sent we weren’t sure the gurls would want to come home they were having so much fun but they were definitely happy to see us. I highly recommend Gabriella and we plan on using her again on our non dog vacations. ( If she’ll have us 😊 )”

“Elexis was amazing!! From the get go they communicated well and eased my mind when it came to knowing my pup was in good hands!! At the end of his boarding I could tell that he had an amazing stay!! So much love for this sitter!!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Clinchmore home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Clinchmore.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Clinchmore sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
