She eases my anxiety with all the love she gave him and it showed through the rover card photos and summaries. She was so great with him and he loved her. He usually looks worse for wear when we come back from trips and this time he looked so healthy and happy when we got back. He was very well taken care of. About: We lost our Great Dane several years ago after having dogs for 35 consecutive years. I signed up for Rover to help fill that “pitter patter, tick tick of the nails across the floor and the wagging tails greeting me at the door” void. The friends we have made through Rover have brought so much happiness and filled a void that I didn’t know would exist. This is my third year on Rover and have made so many new pup friends! Our dog a had a lot of health and anxiety issues and that made it difficult to find the right care for him when we traveled. I hope to remove that obstacle for you and provide you and your pet what you need for a stress free vacation. I have owned or taken care of all kinds of dogs ranging from 5 lbs to 130 lbs and am ready to help you with your dog. I can’t say enough about how much my family enjoys the snuggles and smiles the dogs offer. They quickly become part of the family and we always look forward to when they will return for a visit! I primarily Work from home and can therefore accommodate most pet’s needs. I am a very active person and enjoy spending time outside, Going on walks.etc. I have a large unfenced yard but a great neighborhood for walking. We have 3 kids , aged 13, 17 and 20 who all love dogs.

“Randi did a great job looking after my cat over the holidays! She checked-in promptly, sent detailed updates with photos, and also was helpful accommodating a booking on short notice. The cat was clearly well cared for and happy when I arrived home.”

About: I’ve had cats my whole life and dogs my entire adult life. I love animals! I own a husky & a husky mix so I have lots of husky experience (and I’m aware at how smart and good at escaping they are), I also have 2 cats. They are my world and I would do anything for them. Let me show your pets the same kind of love and care I give mine! I am typically off work Monday-Wednesday, I am not available on weekends. I have my own two dogs to care for, but if given enough notice I might be able to move things around with work. I have a fenced yard and two fur babies to keep your dog company. If I am going to your house I will make sure your dogs get the full amount of time you paid for, no short cuts. I want to make sure they get the best care.

“Sarah is very dedicated and communicates extremely well. She clearly enjoys being around dogs and my dog Buddy was always happy to see her. I had forgotten to bring Buddy's toys on the trip, so one day Sarah shows up with a toy she had bought for him. I thought this was extremely nice of her! I highly recommend Sarah!”

About: I grew up with dogs my entire life! I have pet sit internationally and around the US. I am a professional dog sledding guide and love any animals! I have done it all from pet sitting to animal rescue and rehabilitation to dog sledding! I am wide open! I am a seasonal worker so I am completely free in the spring and fall, 7 days a week. I am open to walking/overnight pet care whenever. I love playing outside and will take your pup out as much as possible! I have a super sweet 4 yr old dog who loves to play and keep your pup company!

About: I love animals and like to care for them. I have also dog sat, overnight or just for the day, for many of my friends and families dogs. I love to go on runs and I am really active, so if your dog needs to let some energy out, I am able to provide that! I am able to handle bigger dogs that may pull on the leash; I am not scared of big dogs! I am working part time and have a more free schedule. I live right in town and can be flexible with times for letting your pet out. I do have a fenced in yard where I’m living currently. I also know the area well and will make sure your dog is safe.

About: Not only has my entire life been full of all sorts of animals from cats and dogs to lizards and horses, I've also spent my time in Leadville caring for and training sled dogs! I've worked with a kennel home to over 120 amazing dogs of all ages and personalities. While the work is incredibly fun and rewarding, it gave me a unique skill in handling strong bodied and strong minded pups. Even if it means being dragged 50 feet, I don't let that leash go. I've also gained experience caring for litters of puppies from birth as well as caring for retired seniors. I haven't yet met a pup I haven't gotten along with, at worst we had to get to know each other slowly. Along with all my experience with dogs, I've raised and cared for many cats for friends, family, and myself. Most recently, I have started doing pet photography and putting my love and patience for animals to work! The results have been lovely and so much fun! I've also been on the team of the local pet store, working in the daycare and taking care of in home requests put through the store by locals, allowing me to get to know Leadville's very best. One day a week I spend the full day at a dog daycare in Leadville, caring for and entertaining our local pups. Otherwise, when I'm not making art, photographing our best friends, or going on adventures with my own pack; I'm taking care of any animal that needs me. As a bonus, I'm such an introvert I don't often participate in town events and tend to be available for pet care so all the humans can get involved in the event without worrying about loved ones left at home. I do have a reactive, senior dog in my home, so I don't offer boarding or visits to my home for her sake. Otherwise, I have no issues getting dogs or cats in their crate, on their leash, medicated, or fed. As a rule, I do not walk dogs that aren't mine without a good leash and a collar with a proper I.D. tag. Nor do I ever leave a pet unattended in my care, whether in the home or in a fenced yard. Food allergies are common, so I do not bring any treats/food of my own for another's pet and only feed what is instructed and provided. I want to have proof of updated rabies vaccines before working with a dog or cat, as well.

About: Hello, thanks for visiting my page! I am currently working in the animal welfare industry and have for the last 5+ years. I have grown up with animals my entire life and have taken care of cats, dogs, ferrets, cows, horses, rabbits, rodents, reptiles, birds, and more. I would be delighted to meet, spend time, and care for your pet and be their furry Godmother! Once I watch your pet, they will always be part of our pack! I am able to take a dog with me to work, or stop by for a walk, adventure, or visit. I have 3 days off a week and am able to go out and do daily adventures or if your pup is more comfortable staying at my place, I have a doggie door and big backyard for easy access in and out of the house and yard. I have a large 6 foot and 8 foot wooden privacy fence in the yard. I have a doggie door. I am able to stay at your place or stop by to walk your dog, stop by for a visit or potty break. Currently my pack consists of a fun and energetic shelter Husky and an Irish Wolfhound who is working to become a therapy dog. Both love playing with other pups and are good with cats as I also have 2 older cats that get along with other animals. I am able to crate your dog too, if needed.

Shahrzad G.
“For as long as I have known Sharzi, she’s been an animal lover & advocate. She has 2 dogs and 2 cats - all from shelters while tiny puppies or kittens. She has revived various wild animals (birds, bunnies, cats & dogs & other animals) in distress and nurtured them to health and released them with care. She stopped consuming meat products most of her life, primarily because of her compassion for animals- I know any animal she has ever taken in or cared for or sat for to help friends were cared for as if they were her own, and has passionately gone after those who showed any inclination of mistreatment or abuse. In my view she makes a wonderful and caring sitter or caretaker of any animal she becomes accountable for. Needless to say, animals she cares for love her and always happy to see her. “”
