1. Angie M.
“Angie did a great job taking care of my two kitties they were both relaxed, healthy, and happy when I returned. I highly recommend her... she spent a good amount of time each visit not only feeding and cleaning up but also holding and petting them. I am booking her again for my next trip this coming February.”
2. Amy D.
“Amy is wonderful pet sitter. She is very responsible and punctual. Amy asked a lot of details about my cat and how to care about him. It was very easy to communicate with her - she sent a report about each visit (with photos) and responded promptly and in detail. I recommend her as a pet sitter.”
3. Sasha L.
“Sasha has watched my two cats many times and always does an amazing job. She communicates with me each visit and sends me updates and photos. Highly recommend Sasha, she is great!”
4. Chloé G.
“Super great pet care!! Each check in was described well and I got photos of my pets each time. She even met me an extra time so I could hand over my keys before leaving, and was super understanding when I forgot to send a delivery code once! I felt like my pets were in great hands!”
5. Kylee S.
“Kylee has strong attention to detail with dogs. She has a gentle touch and a solid foundation in canine obedience. Kylee is not someone who just wants to hang out with your dog, she wants to ENRICH them while in her care. Kylee is not just a "dog lover", she is a dog "person"”

About: I have always been around a huge variety of animals, including dogs of all different breeds and ages! From caring for my own dogs as well as friends and family, I’m well versed in all of your typical pet care routines! My biggest constraint to my schedule at the moment is my classes. I have the most availability on weekends and some on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays! My philosophy with any animal is to care for it the way I would want someone to take care of my own. I will give the same amount of love and consideration to a pet and their parents as I would my own!
7. Samantha M.
About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 11 for my neighbors during the summer. Later on, during high school, my family adopted a dog as we planned to train her to be a service dog for my sister. I helped care for Lexi and even taught her some tricks like shake in exchange for belly rubs. I could also help with Pet Transportation and Pet Walking. I'm currently enrolled in college but am free every weekend. I am also available Monday and Friday nights. However, I do not currently own a pet, but I have had to care of my sibling's pets since they were younger and often forgot to do it. I have cared for my sister's dog Lexi and my brother's hermit crabs, and will sometimes take care of my aunt's dogs. I am often good with pets after meeting them. I normally list down important information related to the pets. I also often ask for more detail on how I can accommodate the client's pet.
8. Jolene S.
“Our Buddy loves going to Jody's place, whether it's for a day or several. It's a natural setting for the dogs to stay and play and Jody takes excellent care of our pet. Highly recommended!”
9. Ellie M.
“Ellie has worked with animals for over 10 years. They are receptive to her and show immediate trust. With her job skills from working at different zoos, she has worked with a variety of animals with their care, nutrition, exercise, and habitat. She would be an excellent addition to the field.”
10. Karynna J.
About: Hi! My name is Karynna and I have taken care of many different dogs at all stages of their life. Family, friends, and neighbors have relied on me to watch their pets. I just graduated in May at DesMoines Area Community College. I have a lot of free time to spend with animals, I am usually available at anytime. My boyfriend and I have a cat named Marvin, he is a little younger than 2 years old. We also have a great pyrenees. She is almost 3 years old and weighs 110lbs. They are our pride and joy so I know how it feels to leave your furry babies at home. But I will do everything in my will to make it a fun and calming experience for everyone! I have a lot of free time, therefore I am available most days. I will mark off the days that I am not. I am very excited to meet some amazing animals! At my apartment I will take Boo, our great pyrenees on daily, afternoon or night walks. I also take her out 2-3 times a day just to potty. When Boo is on her last potty for the day I will also bring our cat Marvin. He loves the dog park!
11. Elizabeth "Libby" K.
About: Trustworthy dog owner and enthusiast seeking four-legged friends! I care for all pets like they are my own as they deserve nothing less. My passion for animals emerged even before my summers volunteering at the Ames Animal Shelter as a young girl. Any opportunity to pet sit for family or friends had me thrilled I was able to spend time with an animal. I now have three years of professional dog grooming experience, starting off working as a dog bather then eventually graduating grooming school. I left my job as a dog groomer last year and I currently work part time at a vet clinic as well as serving tables at a restaurant here in Ames. The services I currently offer include: » Dog walking » In home drop in’s ✓ Extended stays and special requests are welcomed! LGBTQ+ friendly 🌈 I have 15+ years of caring for dogs and am comfortable handling dogs of all sizes. I have four years of experience administering oral medication to dogs as well as history caring for diabetic pets. I’m also comfortable caring for cats, reptiles, small animals, fish, and exotic animals as I worked at a pet store for about a year caring for all kinds of creatures from cats, ferrets, fish, hamsters, snakes, bearded dragons, and chinchillas. Reach out with any questions you may have. I look forward to hearing from you, and give your pets my best! 🫶 I currently have two part time jobs, one at a vet clinic and the other as a waitress. I work at the clinic every Thursday from 2-7pm and I serve tables most weekend evenings. My shifts typically do not exceed 6 hours so even on the days I work, I’m still able to provide between 4-5 potty breaks throughout each day for the pets in my care. I prefer to do a meet and greet before booking any services. The meet allows your pets to get acquainted with me, allows us to walk through a typical day in your home, and helps cover the bases of any potential obstacles we may face while in my care so I am well prepared for whatever situation that may arise.
12. Gloria B.
“I’ve seen Gloria with Rico and she would be a perfect candidate for a pet sitter. She takes him to the park which he loves and also finds fellow dog lovers to come with so that Rico has a friend. He loves playing outside her apartment with all his toys and going on walks with her, even though his little legs don’t let him go very far. She has trained him on fetch and he loves it, he also loves playing tug of war with Gloria on the couch. She takes very good care of him and he’s a happy dog.”
13. Nicole & Matthew B.

About: Graduate student with flexible schedule. Flat rate, any time, any day. Open to custom plans. I have a wide range of experience with various animals, including cats, dogs, hamsters, fish, bearded dragons, horses, and chickens, making me a versatile and skilled pet sitter. Here’s an overview: - 2 years experience in a veterinary clinic in NYC, where I gained knowledge in assisting with injections and providing specialized care. - 8 years of volunteer work in animal shelters, pet day cares, and farms in MA/VT/NY - 8 years experience being a pet sitter and pet walker in my spare time - 14 years taking care of 10+ pets Here are some specifics: - Taken care of pets with chronic health conditions like asthma, cancer, paralysis, diabetes, and IVDD - Administered or helped others administer certain medication (e.g. pills, eye drops, inhalers, etc.). - Trained puppies and adult dogs (e.g., use indoor pad, do tricks, leash walking) - Trained cats (e.g., use a litter box, run on a cat wheel, how to sit, how to come on command) - Gone on walks with dogs and cats, (long or short depending on their needs) - Given dogs haircuts and showers - Given cats grooming sessions and showers - Brushed dogs and cats teeth - Cut dog and cats nails - Cleaned litter box or indoor pads - Taken care of pets who experience incontinence - Done rehabilitation therapy exercises Note: I have worked with pets who are “owner-reactive”, have a lot of anxiety, or are shy. My doggie came from a rough background so it has been a long but rewarding road to get where we are today. If you want to know if I have any experience doing something or if I am willing to help with something specific, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I am willing to take care of your pet as much as I as take care of mine. I prioritize their well-being by having a pet first aid kit on hand and providing a stimulating environment with toys and treats. I will even take care of your plants if you are away! I know how hard it is to find someone to do that as well. I set my own schedule so I am pretty flexible with times and days. Most days, I am free from 6 am until 11 pm. When caring for pets in my client’s home, I prioritize maintaining their familiar routine to minimize stress. I adhere to their feeding schedule, take them for walks or play in the backyard, and provide companionship. I also follow any specific care instructions provided by the client, such as administering medications or adhering to house rules. Communication with the client is key, and I keep them updated on their pet’s activities and well-being throughout my visits. My primary goal is to ensure the pets’ comfort, safety, and happiness while maintaining open and transparent communication with the client to provide peace of mind during my care services.
